Star Market – in Lihue (Kukui Grove Center, on the way from the airport) large store similar to Albertsons/Safeway

Big Save Market –when you pass through the “tree tunnel” turn left.

Sueokas and KuKui’Ula Markets – smaller, family-run store, Sueokas is at the end of “tree tunnel” and KuKui’Ula is on Poipu Road

Safeway and Papaya’s – north, in Kapa’a Town

Wal-Mart and K-Mart – prices are a little better on some staple foods at these discount stores

Farmer’s Market – (also called “Sunshine Markets”) – different locations daily, Monday is in Old Koloa Town

Activities:

Activity centers in Poipu Village, Koloa Town, Lihue and Kapa’a. At these small booths, you can make reservations for a number of activities, usually at a discount, often 2 for 1

Hula Shows – twice a week at Poipu Village Shopping Center, also at Kuhui Center (Lihue)

Poipu Beach Park – (across the street from Brennecke’s Restaurant) excellent snorkeling, diving swimming

Shipwrecks Beach – heavy surfing and big waves, some surfing and boogie boarding

Barking Sands Beach – swimming, surfing, boogie boarding

Waimea Canyon – the “Grand Canyon” of the pacific

Kokee State Park – beautiful hiking trails, rivers and waterfalls

Botanical Gardens – near Spouting Horn, beautiful!

Island House & Home (Kapa'a)

Kukui Grove Shopping Mall – (Lihue) near the airport

DRIVING DIRECTIONS:
Directions from the Airport (15 miles - 30 minutes). As you exit the Lihue Airport you will be on Ahukini Road. Continue through the traffic light for about a mile until you reach the intersection of Kuhio Highway / Highway 56. Here you are forced to turn either right or left. You turn left onto Highway 56 West which will automatically merge itself into Kaumualii Highway / Highway 50 West. Continue on Kaumualii Highway / Highway 50 West as it leaves Lihue toward the Poipu area. Aproximately 12 miles down the road you will see a sign indicating to turn left to Koloa or Poipu. When you turn left you will be on Maluhia Road / Highway 520 which is also known as The Tunnel of Trees, which leads to Koloa Town and the Poipu area. As you enter Old Koloa Town you turn right onto Koloa Road. Less then a block later at the service station, you turn left on to Poipu Road. You follow Poipu Road about 2.5 miles until you turn right toward Poipu Beach on to Hoowili Road. This road ends at Poipu Beach where you turn left onto Ho'one Road. As you drive along the beach, the road becomes Pe'e Road. About a half mile further along you will come to Poipu Shores located on the makai or ocean side of the road. the street address is 1775 Pe'e Road.

  • My husband and I enjoyed a week in Tarek's wonderful condominium. The view is absolutely breathtaking... nothing but ocean, waves and turtles. The best view of the sunset on the entire island might just be from the lanai of this condo. We hope to be back soon!

  • My fiance and I (and another couple) visited Hawaii to attend/participate in a wedding and we stayed 3 nights at Tarek's condo and 2 nights at another accommodation. We all agreed our favorite Kauai moment was staying at the condo and enjoying the view from the lanai. What a beautiful view! Words cannot describe it. We enjoyed coming to the condo after day's excursion and sitting out in lanai, enjoying a glass of wine, and listening to the waves crashing against rocks right below our lanai...wow, it was a dream! We saw sea turtles surfing the waves every day. We really appreciated all the beach gear stocked in the condo such as snorkel gear, beach umbrella, chairs, beach blankets, boogie board, etc. Thank you, Tarek, for letting us rent your condo and we will be back for sure one winter to watch the whales!

  • Tarek, What a beautiful and well maintained condo! My Wife, Teenage Son and I had a wonderful time. We enjoyed falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the ocean right outside our bedrooms. We watched turtles playing below the lanai for hours. When we saw the pictures we thought we would be lucky to see a turtle below the lanai but there were actually many of them constantly feeding and surfacing for air in the tide. The touches of home in the condo were appreciated from the beach chairs to the washer and dryer (with detergent). With only a short walk to the beach for snorkling and boogie boarding we were right where we hoped to be. We cannot wait to return. Aloha

  • We just got home from a wonderful week in Kauai. We loved the condo. Although the living room was a bit small for our family of four, we realized that with all of our time spent on the lanai it really didn't matter. We immediately saw the sea turtles below the condo and watched the spinner dolphins play just off shore. Our kids loved having the pool all to themselves nearly every evening. The location was great with regard to proximity to good restaurants and beaches, the parking was convenient, besides the sound of the ocean it was quiet at the facility. We enjoyed our time at your condo and Tarek you were wonderful to work with. Mahalo!

  • My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this condo very much, celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. This condo has everything could ever want and is very comfortable. The view from the lanai cannot be described, only felt. I would highly recommend this to anyone, but for "first-timers" like my wife and myself, this was heaven on earth!!

  • The definition of ocean front. All you have to do is lay your head on the pillow and asleap you go to the sound of the waves. Emjoyed watching the turtles in the waves fronting the condo for hours. Nice pool to relax and enjoy the sunset as you cool off at the end of the day. Nicely update and comfortable condo. Easy access to beach for walks in the morning.

You never get tired of the ocean and all it has to offer with the turtles and dolphins. the owner was very easy to communicate with and was available for all our needs. We would highly recommend this place for anyone to stay on this magical island in Paradise.

  • Many, many thanks for a great condo with waves literally crashing on the cliffs below the lanai. Outstanding privacy, excellent accomodations and everything was honestly represented. The owner was super helpful and willing to share some of the secret places where tourists don't go. Whenever we return, it will be to exactly the same place.

  • This condo is beautiful and the location is very convenient. My kids found the turtles immediately upon our arrival and enjoyed them throughout our stay. The kitchen is gorgeous. Very nice and clean. Tarek is a wonderful host. We would definitely rebook and recommend this to our friends.
