I was bringing my son up for a visit with Coach Cosgrove and to watch some spring football practices. I initially looked for hotels as it was only going to be just me and him. But, decided to look at Homeaway just in case there was something nearby. I was in luck!! I found this quaint little cottage right on the waterfront. It had 2 bedrooms and all of the neccesity's of home.....plus now I could bring my daughter and husband too. The owners were very nice and went out of their way to make sure that we had a nice stay. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone needing/wanting to stay in the Bangor area. If we venture up that way again, there is no doubt that this would be the place we would stay. Thank you Laurie and Tom, SueDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a great time on our ice fishing weekend. The cabin was so cute and had everything we needed. We caught 14 fish! The kids loved it!! The lake is literally right out the door to the cabin so it's very easy to run in to warm up and get some hot chocolate or lunch! :) We will definitely be back!Did you find this review helpful? Thanksgiving at King Pine Cottage

Over the past 20 years my friends and I have made Thanksgiving week in Maine a yearly tradition. When our camp was replaced by a wind farm, we found ourselves without a place to stay. After some research we found King Pine cottage hoping that we could carry on or start another tradition. We may have just accomplished that. Upon arrival the cottage was well prepared for our stay and we felt right at home. Pretty much everything that you need is there, and the commute to services is negligible for anything else you may need. We didn't have the opportunity to meet the owners, other than very briefly, but it was clear that they would have responded promptly if anything was needed. The cottage itself was very nice, as well as clean, and easily spacious enough for our group. The location is perfect right on the water, and out of the way enough without being remote. It must be a great place to stay in the summer...temps close to freezing cut down on the range of outdoor opportunities. All in all my friends and I would definitely recommend staying at King Pine Cottage. Mark DesrosiersDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Stayed at this cabin several times. Our son plays football for the University of Maine and we travel up to the area for all home games. What a wonderful alternative to staying at a pricy hotel. Laurie is a wonderful lady and the cabin is perfect for all our needs. Will be staying here again next season. Loved it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This was our second year at King Pine, and we were lucky enough to spend an extra 3 days there. Again, PERFECTION. We had our 10 and 13 year old nephews with us for the first few days and they were thrilled to be able to spend their days swimming, exploring and fishing from the dock. We spent our days happy to do nothing more than sit in the shade and read. We live in-town (Bangor), but King Pine feels like a world away. Everything we needed was on-site, no need to overpack things like soap and cooking provisions, and if we needed to purchase something, the shoppping centers are a brief, easy drive away. We can't recommend this spot enough, and your hosts are available but never intrusive. If you have canine family members, this is the place you need to rent as they will be as happy and comfortable as our two Saint Bernards have been. Next summer can't come soon enough for us!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This was the most peaceful and relaxing vacation I have had in a long time! It took me a while to get used to the quiet, especially at night! It was so beautiful watching the full moon over the lake and listening to the loons. From relaxing by (and in!) the water to the concerts at Waterfront Park to lobster at McLaughlin's at the Marina to the day trip to Bar Harbor, there was no shortage of things to do. The cottage itself is great - it was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed including a hair dryer! My dog Holly loved it as well! I would recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful location yet convenient to all the area has to offer.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I rented this very nice place and we want to thank Laurie for a great vacation. Loons, canoe rides, lobster @ 3.99 per # plus clams at the same price. Fireplace outside was very nice. Swimming was great, just a few steps to the water. The cabin was supplied with "everything you can think of" and even more. We are seniors and recommend it very highly for this age group but there is room for families too. Grilled on the gas grill 3 times. TV was appreciated too. We will recommend this to friends and family for sure. Thanks again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 6/6

Wonderful stay at Pushaw Lake. We were visited by several loon families and enjoyed relaxing by the lake. I loved hearing the water, even when we were inside the cottage. Laurie was wonderful and a great host. The cabin kitchen was stocked with more than we expected. It was great for the dogs who loved swimming. I was so grateful to have a rental that would allow me to have my two big dogs with me. The washer and dryer were so useful as well!! Thanks and we hope to come back again!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

As written in our guest book at the cottage: "thank you for renting us your piece of paradise for our honeymoon. We absolutely love it here! The view is breathtaking any time of day. Thank you very much for being the only place we found where we could leave our "boys: while we were out on our adventures. It is so reassuring to be able to bring our canine family with us. We look forward to coming back."Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
