We stayed 5 nights with our kids. The cottage is gorgeous, spotless and ideally located. Thom, the owner is so friendly and helpful, always had his phone on for us. You will be in a prime location within walking distance to everywhere you want to go. We fell in love with the area and the cottage was a bonus. We couldn't have been happier with the accomodations. Simply perfect!! Thank you Thom. (and Dan for all the help you gave us) Iris and Kurt, Ohio

The Cottage in New Hope, put "its arms around us".......for the second time in two years. We parked in the driveway, unlocked the door, poured a glass of wine, turned on the fireplace (& sometimes the TV) and relaxed. The Cottage is bright, cheerful and charmingly decorated. It even has a washer, dryer, central heat AND air. We appreciated Thom's excellent suggestions for places to eat and where to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. As we read all the wonderful comments, there were smiles and head nodding. But, one thing was missing......We found the hidden vegetable garden! Right where Thom said it was--complete with tomatoes, chard, beans, mint and lemon verbena. We heartily recommend this lovely cottage in delightful New Hope, PA.
Owner response:It was great to have you stay with us again. Thank you for your kind words! Thomas The Cottage In New Hope

Thom thought of everything to make a guest comfortable. His decorating was perfect, keeping the charm of the 175-year-old cottage while unobtrusively providing flat-screen TV, central AC/heat, Internet, washer/dryer, microwave, dishwasher. I loved telling everyone I met that I was staying at the cottage, which everyone in town knew due to its fantastic location and superb curb appeal. I almost hesitated to write such a good recommendation here because it means that I risk the cottage already being rented when I want to return--which is soon. I stayed for a whole month and never got tired of Bucks County and the charm of the cottage. I also use HomeAway for the condos I own in Phoenix, and Thom's attention to making his guests comfortable is even better than mine (which is pretty darn good)!!

Had a great week getaway at the cottage. Even though it rained the first 3 days, the cottage made the stay very enjoyable. I would reccomend the cottage to anyone interested in vacationing in New Hope. The location is perfect for walking to anything in New Hope or Lambertville!

We just returned from our weekend at The Cottage in New Hope, it was such a fabulous stay. The entire place was immaculate and clean. There is nothing like crisp, clean white sheets and towels. It was great for us so we could take our small dog. The fire place was my favorite amenity. The decor is just fabulous, the exposed beams caught our eye. This is in a great location too, you can walk everywhere. We plan on returning to the Cottage in the future. The owner even stopped by to fix the TV because we couldn't get it to work.

b&b's, rental homes, hotels - you never quite know what yr going to get... will it be tacky, cold, dirty, etc? thom gets it absolutely just right and has renovated this home beautifully, down to the last detail, and it's abundantly clear from the second you walk in, the amount of thought that went into making sure yr stay is without a worry or thought such as "who would buy and actually hang that thing?". it's a very tasteful and comfortable cottage in an excellent location. the kitchen is excellent and easy to cook any meal in, be it simple or complicated prep-wise. the bedrooms are awesome, roomy and simply enjoyable to look at - we all slept very well. ate well. relaxed well.

The cottage is beautifully appointed, comfortable, and a perfect spot in the New Hope/Lambertville area. It is within walking distance to all of the town shops on both sides of the river. We will definitely be back!

The Cottage has become an absolute 'must" when we visit New Hope. The location is perfect and it feels like home. You couldn't wish for anything more in a place to stay, whether you want to loll about and relax, or use it as a base for exploring the many places to visit (lots to do within walking distance or by car). Great to have that parking space off-street.

"This is not just a house, it's a dream! At least, my dream! I had great time at the cottage. We're an Italian family and we stayed here for a week in August. Simply perfect, the cottage is the most beautiful house I've ever seen, I loved everything inside, the forniture, the sofa, the tub... I would live in a house like this! Besides, New Hope is a pleasent town and even the area around is interesting (Phila, Princeton, NY...). Thank you and see you soon! Roberta, Andrea e la piccola Adele "

Second time at the Cottage in New Hope. Can't say enough wonderful things about it. Beautiful, modern, comfortable. Upscale amenities and modern appliances. Fantastic location and off street parking a huge plus as parking is a hot commodity in New Hope. Can't wait to go back!

This the second time I stayed at the cottage and it was wonderful again. Friends that stopped by couldn't believe how nice and charming it is inside. Modern meets a history. I was extremely appreciative of the A/C. Coming from Alaska I thought I might melt in the 94 deg weather. The washer and dryer are handy while traveling and the kitchen has about everything you need. Thom is aways helpful and easy to deal with and if you have never stayed in New Hope before the location is great. It isn't too far from town that is filled with shops/restaurants and nightlife.

Stayed here with my Mom and Sister, two nieces and our dog. It was the perfect place for our girl-getaway but I also want to come back with my husband or with another couple. Beautifully outfitted, clean, comfortable, perfect location and walkable to everything. Made a few meals in but went out as well and coudn't have been happier. The pup stayed downstairs and we brought a baby gate as the staircase is original/authentic and VERY steep. It worked out great, however, and I would recommend it. The washer/dryer was an added bonus as well as the wonderful kitchen - fun to cook in. The back porch is also a treat - we enjoyed evening cocktails and champagne as we watched the world go by - it closes with a gate so was also perfect for the kids to join us. Look forward to coming back! Thank you Thom...

The cottage was perfect. It had plently of space for the four of us. It felt much roomier than it appears on-line. The bedrooms are very cozy and the beds extremely comfortable. The kitchen was the perfect size with great appliances. I was able to whip some really great meals. We had friends from New Hope stop by and they fell in love with the place as well. I really enjoyed sitting on the porch during one of the rainstorms with a glass of wine. Very relaxing. Oh and off street parking is alway a big plus in New Hope. All in all, you really did an amazing job on this place. Thanks for everything - We'll be staying again.

This delightful cottage is comfortable, clean and very well appointed. Olde Worlde charm with all "mod cons." Its location is perfect for an easy stroll to everything in New Hope and Lambertville. On future visits to the area, we will try The Cottage before a B & B.

We enjoyed every minute in the cottage! It offered all the comforts of home in a charming, ideal location, and we wanted for nothing...except more time to enjoy it! We hope to return in cooler weather, and already look forward to warming up by the beautiful fireplace after a day of shopping and sightseeing.

My partner and I had a great time during our first trip to New Hope - The Cottage definitely added to the positive experience. The Cottage is perfecting located within easy walking distance of most everything New Hope and Lambertville have to offer. The Cottage is in excellent shape and offers everything an upscale hotel does, but with more privacy. All you need to bring is Cherrios, wine and cheese! We will definitely be back.
Owner response:Thank you for signing our guest book guys. We look forward to having you visit again. Best Regards, Thom And Dan

We could not have been more pleasantly delighted with our stay at The Cottage! Every attention to detail makes this home truly a home-away-from-home. Thom and Dan are the best. So accommodating and so welcoming. My partner and I have booked this cottage again and again and will continue to do so. We really like the area...we LOVE this cottage. It is now our get-away destination.

This is a wonderful little-big home, smack in the middle of New Hope, everything is in walking distance, even Lambertville in NJ accross the bridge. We never used our car, everything was just a few minutes away. The house has its own parking spot, good for two reasonably sized vehicles, very handy in meter un-friendly (ie expensive) New Hope ;). We were able to host visiting family and friends for a delightful reunion. The cottage has a roomy feel to it and the space accommodated everyone in a very easy and copacetic way. Wonderful Feng-shui. The owners are delightful, always helpful if needed, not noticeable if not. They are dog lovers and are pet friendly from the heart. Most highly recommended, and we will rent this home again as soon as we get back to the East Coast !!

I booked a trip to New Hope because I am considering relocating to the area, Now that I have stayed in"The Cottage" not only do I want to be in New Hope but I want to live in the cottage! The house is absolutely wonderful-it is like staying at a fine boutique hotel but with the privacy of home. From crisp fine linens to thick terry towels and L'Occitane soaps, even a BYO wine bag-such attention to detail! It is wonderfully decorated and I remain astounded that the owners of such a marvelous and perfectly clean property were kind enough to allow me to bring my dog. What a wonderful stay-I will definitetly be back!
