Key Biscayne Beach Condo
Year Purchased: 1999
Why the Owner Chose Key Biscayne
My wife grew up coming to Key Biscayne each summer and we have enjoyed doing the same with our kids. I find that the Key offers everything anyone could possibly want in a vacation.... Sun, good food, relaxation, out door sports, and no need to jump in the car for anything!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Our boys love to ride their bikes all over the island and my wife and I love the fact we can walk everywhere. We have enjoyed everything from visiting the light house to renting jet skiies, sailing classes and two man bicycles. Key Biscayne is really an island paradise and just a short drive away from the big city living of downtown Miami, Coconut Grove and Miami Beach/South Beach.
Argentine Restaurant/Market/Bakery. Great for lunch! The Best wines on the island!

The condo was just as pictured and the bed was comfortable. It is located in a high end neighborhood. The condo itself, the complex, and pool are very well kept. The neighborhood was extremely peaceful and quiet when we were there in January. It is a short walk to the city park access to the beach. We enjoyed long walks on the beach to the southern tip of the island where there is a state park with a lighthouse. I recommending going up into the lighthouse on a clear day, the view is marvelous. Also within walking distance is a shopping center with a grocery store and several restaurants. We cooked most of our meals in the well equipped kitchen. Then we ate on the beautifully landscaped patio. There are two bike rental shops along the main drag and many miles of bike paths on the island. I recommend daytrips to Everglades National Park and Gulf Stream Racetrack.

We are experienced travelers who stayed here during the first week of the Sony Ericsson tournament and had an unbelievable vacation. This place has it all: peaceful pool, nice neighbors, private shaded terrace, ample kitchen, short walk to private beach and the Drysdale tennis center, very close to Baggs state park, quick drive to Miami, and even a short walk to the full-service supermarket and restaurants. Plus the price is right and the owners couldn't be nicer or more responsive. Something often overlooked that made this place feel like a tropical home away from home is that it has a very large amount of closet space, so you are not looking at your suitcases all week. We liked it so much we changed our flights to stay longer!

We had one wonderful week in this apartment in January of '08 and definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget who wants to see the Greater Miami area (not just South Beach and Key Biscayne National Park, but all the way out to Key West too). This apartment was sparkling clean and tidy, spare and attractive, with everything working well and nothing in it to disappoint, in a quiet, well-kept building of an older style, with (an added plus!) friendly neighbors. Upon arrival we shopped at a very good supermarket close by and so were able to prepare all of our meals for our stay in the small but totally serviceable kitchen. We enjoyed sitting out on the terrace to read, talk or dine, slept very well at night, enjoyed relaxing on the local beaches and enjoyed sightseeing too. I'd like to add that our host made sure we had all the information we needed (returned my call quickly when we arrived without some of it) and had the place so fresh and ready for us that we felt welcome right away. Again, we definitely recommend this apartment.
