Fabulous Pebble Beach Home: with Your Own Putting Green!
Year Purchased: 2007
Why the Owner Chose Pebble Beach
Pebble Beach offers the most beautiful shoreline, and we can walk to Bird Rock beach where you can find picnic tables and fire pits. We also strolls along the shore.
The Unique Benefits at this House
The house is surrounded by golf courses and close to the ocean unlike many properties which are in upper Pebble Beach in the forest.
Closest beach to our house and probably the most scenic beach along the 17th Mile drive with white sand, picnic tables and restroom facilities, and firepits for evening fires.
Since 1919, golfers have relished this spectacular oceanside course, considered the greatest public golf course in America. Pebble Beach Resorts has been celebrated for its unparalleled golf and resort facilities which include several restaurants and a world class spa.
One of the favorite tourist stops along the 17 Mile Drive: watch seals, sea otters, pelicans, and cormorants with your bare eyes from the shore. Squirrels will come right up to and try to eat out of your hands (you are not supposed to feed them though)
A true Scottish links course offering a spirited challenge among the rugged and natural beauty of the carefully preserved Monterey coastline. Spanish Bay Resort has a great outdoor terrace where you can sit around outside fireplaces while enjoying the grand ocean views.
Spyglass Hill Golf Course is rated one of the toughest courses in the world from the Championship tees, boasting a course rating of 75.5 and a slope rating of 147. The PGA TOUR consistently lists Spyglass Hill's holes 6, 8 and 16 among the toughest on the TOUR, and during the 1999 United States Amateur, the stroke average of the field during medal play was in excess of 79. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. Spyglass Hill Golf Course takes its name from Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel, Treasure Island, published in 1863. Local legend maintains that Stevenson once wandered the Spyglass area gathering ideas for his novels. A unique aspect of this course is that the holes are named after characters in Treasure%
Poppy Hills is a challenging golf course that weaves through the Del Monte Forest which was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.. The venue plays host to many prominent tournaments including the PGA Tour’s AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am up until the 2010 season. A 2007 Zagat Survey ranked Poppy Hills the 12th “Most Popular Course” in the U.S, and the layout was named “National Course of the Year” in 2006 by the National Golf Course Owners Association.
Lessons, horse shows, and daily guided trail rides along the ocean. Explore the beauty of the Monterey Peninsula: ride to some of the most breathtaking spots on earth. See the rugged Pacific Coastline and world-famous fairways, including Cypress Point and Spy Glass. Climb natural dunes and encounter deer, see whales, sea lions and sea otters down by the beach along famous 17 Mile Drive. This is a great 1h 15min ride for anyone 12 years and older. Also offering private rides for just your party.
World-class aquarium with an annual attendance of 1.8 million; it holds 35,000 plants and animals representing 623 species. Among the aquarium's numerous exhibits, two are of particular note: The centerpiece of the Ocean's Edge Wing is a 10 meter (33-foot) high 1.3 million liter (1/3 million gallon) tank for viewing California coastal marine life.
Immortalized by author John Steinbeck, Cannery Row is a popular tourist destination with restaurants, souvenir shops, coffee shops, and ice cream parlor. A favorite stop is Ghiradelli's Chocolate.
Like its counterpart in San Francisco, this wooden pier is crammed with crafts and gift shops, boating and fishing operations, fish markets, and seafood restaurants along with an incredible view of Monterey Bay with bobbing boats and sea lions. Grab some clam chowder in a sourdough bowl or dine in one of the many waterfront seafood restaurant. Whale watching and fishing boat tours depart regularly from Fisherman's Wharf.
Carmel began as a seaside artists' colony that attracted luminaries such as Sinclair Lewis, Robert Louis Stevenson, and Ansel Adams. Today, Carmel continues to attract artists, photographers, writers, and art enthusiasts to its inspiring natural beauty, culture, art galleries, and performing arts theatres. The town is still intimate enough that addresses remain unnumbered -- Carmel's inns, restaurants and quaint cafes, boutiques, and galleries identify their locations by cross streets.
Prestigious, private golf course, used for the annual AT&T Pebble Beach National ProAm golf event.
Situated on the tip of the scenic Monterey Peninsula, overlooking Point Pinos and the Pacific Ocean, the Pacific Golf Links is a historic, 18-hole golf course featuring both parkland and links-style nines.

We would like to thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home to spend our vacation there. We just love it here and are spending some wonderful days here. Our 8-month old son learned to crawl here! We are hoping to come back to Pebble Beach and stay here again in the future.
