Pleasant Poplars was owner-built as a family retreat, and makes a wonderful place for family and friends to spend a weekend. It features an open plan living space with vista views, a wide front porch with rockers, and a kitchen equipped to meet the needs of both large and small families.

No cable, no internet! An ideal place to get away and enjoy nature and one another.

Bedrooms: The entry level bedroom is handy to living areas and the front porch, and the nearby bath features a walk-in shower, safety bars, and extra-wide doors for elderly or handicapped relatives. Two upper level bedrooms have twin beds and share a bath, while the master suite features a queen-sized bed, private bath with garden tub, private sitting area, and an outside balcony. For extra-large families, the terrace level has a finished playroom to accommodate sleeping bags, and another full bath.

There are toys, a covered sandbox, and two swings; games, puzzles, cards, and books; and a hammock chair and rockers on the wide front porch overlooking the mountains. A wraparound deck provides space for barbecuing while the upstairs deck is perfect for private reflection.

If you like to explore, Pleasant Poplars is convenient to walking trails, Carter’s Lake beach during summer months, and the Doll Mountain boat launch. A mile off GA 136 and 382, Pleasant Poplars is also convenient for day trips in the beautiful North Georgia mountains. A notebook in the house provides brochures and directions to nearby attractions.
