My husband and I LOVED our week at Casita Nopalito - wildlife, breathtaking vistas, peaceful, and private. The casita design provides a feeling of intimacy with the desert (views everywhere even in a mirror when doing dishes) and yet provides all the amenities that we are accustomed to. Adobe desert hosts are exceptional artists when it comes to providing an ultimate desert experience. This was the best Arizona getaway that we have ever had.
Owner response:Thank you, Kim! We hope you will return in the future. Karen and Lyle

AdobeDesertRentals -- A restful and energizing recovery retreat (superb accommodations) in the midst of the Sonora Desert. ADR homes and casitas are well constructed, spotlessly clean, true adobe structures designed to enable you to enjoy your natural surroundings from any room. The desert sunsets are not to be missed. They seem to last forever. AdobeDesertRentals are located 2 miles from the Sonora Desert Museum and the Saguaro National Park -- both great places to visit. Downtown Tucson is an easy 30 minute drive to the east where there are many fine restaurants, museums and galleries and no rush hour traffic. The Santa Catalina Mountains are an easy hour away. Karen and Lyle are gracious, accommodating and knowledgeable hosts. We are eager to return.

accurately described, clean, well maintained, very helpful owners, highly recommendable. this is an ecologically sound, comfortable 2 bedroom house in a pristine, private, saguaro-filled desert, with coyotes, bobcats, fox, quail, woodpeckers literally at your doorstep, within the saguaro national park, and less than 5 minutes from the amazing arizona sonora desert museum, and world class desert mountain hiking and biking. the perfect way to get away from it all.

We've stayed at Adobe Desert Rental properties once a year for the past 10 years and can't recommend it highly enough. It is beautifully situated, convenient to desert hiking and to exploring downtown Tucson. It is an ideal place to watch the sunset, relax, and hang out. Saguaro National Park and the Desert Museum are just a few minutes away. But you really don't have to go anywhere-- it is like living in the middle of a park, with fantastic views of mountains and saguaro cactus, birds singing, and tiny animals scampering about. The properties are clean and well maintained and, if there is ever a problem, our hosts have been quick to solve it. The southwestern aesthetic is lovely, and we really feel it is like our second home. The washer-dryer and the excellent kitchen facilities are an extra plus. We'd recommend these properties without reservation to anyone.

My husband and I spent February of 2008 and 2009 in this lovely and lovable adobe house with its beautiful desert scenery and sunsets, its wildlife, including birds, rabbits, chipmunks and a visiting coyote, and its comfortable amenities. The owners are friendly and helpful and provide a house cleaner each week. We recommend it highly.

We first stayed here for two weeks in 2000 and have since been back every year (except one) for three weeks in January. We enjoy Casa Loma Roja because it is quiet and peaceful. We love the abundant bird and animal life, the nearby hiking, the proximity to Tucson. The owners are attentive and friendly, the accommodations comfortable. Our rating is very good. We'll be back in 2011.

Casita Bonita is indeed a beautiful, little house. This wonderful adobe home is the perfect place to rest, recuperate, and rejuvenate. Karen is a terrific owner who has provided guests with everything they could possibly desire in this gorgeous desert location. Nearby is the Sonoran Desert Museum, which will appeal to individuals of all ages. Hiking and mountain biking trails are plentiful throughout Tucson Mountain Park and provide magnificent views of flora, fauna, and breath-taking sunsets. This is an outstanding experience that guests will remember for years and years.
