Ideal Escape the Hemlock
Ideal Escape the Hemlock
Mom, brother and his wife, myself and my husband stayed at the Hemlock. This place is a long way from stores and cell connection. We arrived in the fall middle of October. The weather was cold. The cabin sits back in a secluded spot with a pond. It is a cozy cabin with a rustic feel. It was clean. They offer some reading material if you don't have your own and basic t.v. channels. However, this is a place one would come to get away from the normalcy of life as we know. (Rat Race) It is so quiet. Loved the cabin especially with a porch you can sit and relax while enjoying the sites and sounds around you. Was excited to have a fire place being from so. Florida where you don't need one but there was a little problem with the gas fire place and could not use it. I'm sure it was easily fixable but circumstances did not allow us the use at the time. So we used the heater but if you are cold downstairs and adjust warmer then the upstairs got a little to warm because heat rises we just bundle up a little more downstairs. This is a place you come to just relax with no agenda. Next time we come back it will be with one agenda and that is to do nothing go nowhere. Just be sure when you pack your bible that it dose not look like theirs. OOOPS. Sorry Sylvia. Sylvia and the women that keep the place do a great job and are very friendly and helpful. Thank you Sylvia you are a sweet lady.

The cabin was nice but the backyard neighbors have what sounded to be several dozen roosters that crowed constantly all day long well into the night that along with gunfire did not make it a very peaceful getaway

The cabin was as advertised and offered everything we needed. The owners were very nice and even helped us last minute when our plans changed. If you are visiting the Fall Creek Falls State Park and want a quiet cabin away from the park crowds then this is it. My girls enjoyed catching frogs while I fished in the catch and release pond. A small store close to the cabins has a small grill menu and was perfect for us. Were we looking for a simple meal and not the $21.95 buffet at the State Park. The cabin does have a kitchen that we used for a few meals as well. Great place to stay while exploring the waterfalls of Tenn.

We recently stayed here and it was absolutely beautiful. It was very clean and well represented on the website. It was picture perfect. We visited Fall Creek Falls State Park while we were there. We also drove into Spencer and ate at a great little restaurant that had a buffet that was scrumptious. We plan on making this an annual event.

My family and I were looking for a place to get away from the "city". Although we waited to the last week to book a cabin or room, most places were already reserved. We had planned on booking the only other cabin Piney Creek had available but the Hemlock Haven came available the morning I called. The place was just a piece of "heaven". A wonderful getaway for a family of four! We enjoyed spending quality time in a quality place! Highly recommend. We were just 5 miles from the south entrance of Fall Creek Falls- a perfect hideaway- although the TV and Internet was nice to have, we didn't need it. We enjoyed building a fire- doing smores- spending quiet time by the pond- a great place to recharge your battery! God has blessed us this past week and pray that you also take advantage of this piece of heaven! Thanks again Sylvia and Tad- we appreciate your hospitality! God Bless to you and your families! Owner response: Thank you so much! Although many of our guest tell us that they enjoy the cabins, not many take the time to write a review. Knowing that our guest enjoy the cabins and think of them as we do makes all our hard work worthwhile. Thanks again to Mark and the whole family!!
This was our 4th visit to Piney Creek Cabins. A wonderful, homey place to stay when visiting Fall Creek Falls. We love the privacy and peaceful setting the cabin offers, and the kids loved the fire pit where we could make S'mores! The park has a lot to offer; we recommend bringing plenty of groceries as there aren't many places to eat in the area. Definitely recommend visiting the Inn at the park for the buffet dinner (get there early!) We always have a wonderful time, and the owners are very gracious and hospitable. We will definitely be back again!!
