We really enjoyed this little house. It is cute and the hot tub is fun. House has everything needed for a very nice little stay. Owner is very easy to work with.

This cabin is cute and cozy, and served us well for the 2 nights we spent there. The bed was comfortable, the house was clean, the kitchen was stocked with all the utensils we needed to cook (although the knives desperately need sharpening) and I was really excited about the bathtub. We don't have a bathtub at our home and it's unbelievably hard to find a vacation rental that has a bathtub! We did wine tastings at the 2 wineries nearby, spent time on the beach (even though it was chilly) and read our books on the porch. Even harder to find in a vacation rental than a bathtub is a rental that has both a bathtub and a hot tub. The entire reason I chose this cabin was because it had the combination of the 2. I had read the reviews on this cabin and seen several complaints about the hot tub not working but Tom the owner had said he had addressed the problems so I wasn't worried. Sadly, when we got there, the hot tub wouldn't heat beyond 80 degrees. I called Tom and he was very nice about it, gave me some pointers on how I could maybe kick start it, but our efforts were not rewarded. My frustration came when Tom asked me to text him about the hot tub progress and I texted twice but got no response. He mentioned a partial refund but I haven't heard from him yet. Overall it was a lovely stay, exactly the getaway we needed. We would come back here.

Owner response: I feel really bad about the hot tub. It is checked after each renter checks out. The lights indicated it was heating properly. It turns out it had a bad heating element which I promptly replaced. I refunded the renters their security deposit 3 days after check out and a $50 credit for the hot tub not working. I am always available by phone or text. I assumed the hot tub was working when they did not text me back. Cel coverage is sometimes poor at the coast and evidently I did not receive the texts they sent saying the hot tub was not functioning. I will try to stay on this moving forward.

This little cabin is the perfect spot to escape to. We grabbed some crabs for dinner just a few miles away and arrived in time to take the short walk to watch the sunset on the beach. Back at the cabin the hot tub was pipin' hot, ready and awaiting us. Pretty much anything we needed we found in the cabin, including the little bbq complete with briquettes for our burgers on the deck. Whenever I emailed a question to the owner, he shot back a reply almost immediately. The town is cute and quiet, and the days went all too quickly. We've stayed here twice... and likely will return.

I looked for a home on the coast to stay with my husband and one-year-old. The main thing we wanted was a hot tub to relax in after the baby went to bed (but on premise so we could still hear her if awakened). I wish we had not decided on this one because the hot tub was ice cold when we arrived. The owner was responsive & helpful when I called about this & the fact that the 2nd bedroom was without power (just needed to flip the breaker). He said the hot tub just needed to be reset, which I did according to his instructions, & it would take about 24 hours to get back up to temp. Well it never did heat up. it was also in pretty bad shape overall - cover didn't fit and it appeared dirty in & around it with leaves, etc. - so I'm not even sure if we would have used it if it got hot. Oh well, we still had a nice vacation. Overall the home was smaller than I expected from the photos but met our other needs just fine. It felt very small due to the low ceilings. If you are much over 6ft tall it would be an uncomfortable place to stay. The location was fine, on the end of a dead-end gravel road & only 2 blocks from the ocean. It was quiet and very accessible to the busineeses in town but you cannot hear the waves from here.

Owner response: There had been a storm just prior to the guests arrival which not only caused the power to reset, but also deposited debris around the hot tub area. It has since been cleaned and is in excellent working order.

The owner was very accommodating in arranging my stay....it was very peaceful and i enjoyed the hot tub. The cabin is very cozy and has everything you need. Close walking distance to the beach which is incredible!! One of my favorite spots on the coast. the only problem i encountered was it was difficult to find the key lockbox in the dark....and then to top it off i dropped the key and had to crawl around to find it...all i could do is laugh - such luck!! :)

My husband and I had a great stay in this cozy little cabin for our weekend getaway. Loved the close proximity to the beach and downtown Rockaway. The hot tub was excellend in the chilly evenings as well. We enjoyed walking around town and got some great, fresh seafood at the Oregon Smokehouse (next to US Bank). Best fish and chips we've ever had! Would definitely stay here again, great value for the coast.

Had a really nice weekend here. The house is a little rough around the edges (a few missing blind slats, sticking door) but very clean and cozy. The hot tub was just perfect. The bedrooms are small but functional. Rockaway Beach is a cute town with most of the basics you might need. The beach is huge and beautiful. We would love to come back and stay again. Thanks!

This cottage was absolutely perfect. It was super cute, very clean, and incredibly cozy. There were plenty of pillows and blankets, little extras in the cupboards and fridge, totally stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal, great sound system, and comfy bed and couches. Oh...and a cute little hot tub! It was perfect! I think the best part was that the owner is open to pets staying at the cottage. This was a big help for my wife and I trying find a place to stay. The price was perfect and we will definitely be back!

Here are the things I liked about the property: Great dead-end location. Lots of privacy, a nice side yard for kids/dogs, and no traffic. There's a charcoal grill and a nice deck out front with a table and chairs - we ate almost all of our meals on the deck and it was lovely. It's a quick 10-minute walk to the beach (with 5 year old in tow), and the beach is fantastic. The kitchen is well stocked and aside from looking for a toaster (maybe it was there?) we were able to find everything we needed for making meals. The big windows in front let in a lot of light, so it doesn't feel as small as it might otherwise. And it was great to have a washer/dryer, even though the dryer needed fiddling with to work correctly. Here are the things I disliked: We arrived at 4 and the cleaning person was still there. She was very friendly and polite, but informed us that she needed at least another 45 minutes for cleaning. Check in time isn't 4 if the house isn't ready at 4. We also learned upon arriving that the hot tub was broken. We received a $50 refund for this, but the hot tub was really the main reason why we rented a place a little farther from the beach. Other rentals we had been considering were already booked (holiday weekend), so staying somewhere else wasn't an alternative. The dvd player was also broken - we brought a number of dvds with us to entertain our kiddo in case of bad weather, but none of them would play. They're all relatively new and unscratched so it was definitely a problem with the dvd player. There was also a strong smell of mildew in the bedroom with the queen bed, most noticeable when lying in bed. To be fair, my husband didn't notice the smell. But if you're sensitive to mold/mildew, this may not be the place for you. Finally, the bunk beds weren't made up when we arrived. It's a very tight space in that little bedroom, so making the lower bunk was tricky. It would have been nice if it had been done for us by the cleaning person. Overall, a cute place that could use a little work. If you just need a place to sleep that allows dogs and is budget-friendly, worth checking out.

Owner response: I replace all of the mechanical and electrical parts in the hot tub after they left. The insides are brand new so I shouldn't have that problem again. I tried to make it right by refunding money for the hot tub which brought there total cost down to $75 per night..a pretty good deal for a house at the beach. The drier has since been repaired too. I'm sorry to hear they won't be back again. I tried my hardest.
