We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Beacons End cabin and will be back again! Cabin was clean, comfortable, private and quite cozy...perfect for us (2 adults + one dog) and would easily accommodate a family with small children as second bedroom is very small with small bunk beds. It is at the end of the street with a nice deck in front (charcoal grill) and a sizeable side yard that made it easy with the dog and would be nice for kids to play. Its proximity to the gorgeous sandy beach (less than 5 min walk - about 2 blocks) is amazing. We spent hours walking with the dog on the beach as the weather was mostly dry and in the 50s (December). Bring what you need if you intend to cook as the kitchen is stocked with the basics (pots/pans, dishes, glasses, silverware and basic utensils) but not much more. Not a problem (or unexpected) but good to know all the same. Loved having the washer/dryer available and the hot tub was delightful given the cool nights. Rockaway Beach is a cute little beach town with a few restaurants/bars and a grocery store (which also rents DVDs). We ventured north to Cannon Beach and south to Pacific City on day trips to visit breweries and really enjoyed both the drive and the breweries. All in all...an excellent winter break...

Just finished a delicious Dungeness crab dinner bought live from nearby jetty. We are loving our stay here in your cozy hideaway-the beaches are absolutely world class incredible!! Have been enjoying Oregon wine and incredible sights. To visit the “arch rock” you see from the beach-turn down Pansy off the main road to park. Pops out right at the rocks-sunset was lovely. Plan to visit more wineries tomorrow and hopefully enjoy more amazing seafood. Hope to be back soon.

Thank you so much for this relaxing experience. Our little family had the greatest time! Our 9 year old daughter had a wonderful time at the beach. She finally said we had to go shower because she had too much sand. She also had an awesome Easter egg hunt in the yard. The pizza being practically in the backyard is also a wonderful perk. Our favorite restaurant was the Sea Shack in Wheeler. Not the best service but great food! We also ate at The Bite (great food and service). We liked it so much here in Rockaway we have decided to get married here in December. So we are going to be back for sure. Thanks again for this wonderful experience.

October 22, 2008 This was a last minute stay for us and it sure was a pleasure! Nestled at the end of a secluded side road, the space inside was inviting. From the moment we stepped inside. The modern amenities (TV, surround sound system, and granite countertops) were a pleasant surprise considering the cost. This was our second stay at Rockaway Beach, but this cozy cottage is definitely moving to #1 opn our ranking. Even if we don’t reel in a salmon (or two selfishly) tomorrow, this vacation cottage makes the trip well worth it! And I love the pictures of family-very warm and comforting. Thank you!

Thank you for a wonderful little retreat! While the weather was cold, the cabin warmed our spirits and was exactly what we were looking for in our vacation. Highly suggest buying alive crab from The Jetty, a few miles north, and bringing it home to boil yourself. Such a great memory.

We enjoyed our peaceful weekend here at your cozy cottage. It is designed perfectly and is very welcoming. Rockaway Beach was a nice surprise, so cute with character and not overly commercial. We had a great time walking along the beach, exploring the town, and doing some day trips to surrounding areas.
