Luxurious mountain lodge at an elevation of 4,123 feet with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. All new furnishings completed June 2007. Spacious floor plan with 1,621 square feet of livable area plus a 22 square foot outdoor storage closet next to the front door. The lodge is located 1 1/2 miles east of the traffic light in downtown Banner Elk. Serene surroundings with long range panoramic mountain vistas while still providing convenient access to Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain and Grandfather Mountain as well as many other nearby attractions and amenities.
Wireless broadband internet access plus an over-sized dining room table and a beautiful mountain view out the picture windows provides a relaxing ambiance for a busy executive to get some work done when not immersed in the local activities. The deck and most of the other rooms share the same splendid mountain views.
The deck can be accessed via sliding doors in the living room or the master bedroom and includes two lounging chairs plus a table and 4 additional sitting chairs.
The living room is large and open featuring a 37 inch LCD HDTV with a DVD player. The TV is in an alcove above a gas log stone fireplace and can be viewed from the living room, dining room or kitchen. This room also has a very comfortable leather couch and chair and a ceiling fan.
The master bedroom has a king sized sleigh bed with pillowtop mattress as well as a 32 inch LCD HDTV and a DVD player. This room also has a tray ceiling and a ceiling fan. Sliding glass doors open onto the deck. The master suite includes a large walk-in closet and an over-sized shower.
The guest bedroom has a queen sized bed with pillowtop mattress as well as a 23 inch LCD HDTV and a DVD player. This room also has full length mirrors and a ceiling fan. The guest bath has a jacuzzi.
The full kitchen includes granite countertops, stainless steel refrigerator, electric range, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and dishwasher. The kitchen also includes a walk-in pantry.
The lodge has 9 foot ceilings throughout, solid pine wood doors, maple cabinets, and tiled flooring in the bathrooms, entrance foyer and kitchen. There is a separate laundry room with a washer and dryer.

We really enjoyed our stay at the lodge. It was beautifully decorated, very clean, and had absolutely everything we needed. It is in a great location! We have an 8 and 5 year old and there was so much for us to do close by. Frank was a pleasure to deal with. He answers his emails quickly and has thought of everything! We'll definitely be visiting again!

The Lodge is perfect! Nicely decorated with all modern ammenities - it lacks nothing. It's in a great location and has a wonderful view. We've been visiting the area for the last several years and each year we've rented a different property. After staying at the Lodge this last visit, we've already booked our weekend there for next year!

My husband and I rented this beautiful lodge to spend Thanksgiving with our 25 year old son who lives in Boone. This property was perfect in everyway. The gourmet kitchen was ideal for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner. We enjoyed watching Christmas movies over the weekend on the large flat screen TV in the open family room. The mountain views from the balcony were beautiful. We have rented several properties through VRBO over the years but this was certainly the most beautifully decorated and well appointed home we've enjoyed. In addition, the homeowners were a pleasure to deal with and looked after our every need.
