Located in Tahoe Donner, a residential community in Truckee, Tahoe Summit Chalet is within 5 minutes of superb Tahoe Donner amenities: cross-country ski center; downhill ski resort; 2 recreation centers with fitness center, swimming pools, hot tubs; sledding hill; golf course; driving range; playgrounds; hiking trails; mountain bike trails; equestrian center; tennis center; fine and casual dining at the Lodge. The private beach, clubhouse, and boat launch on Donner Lake are just a few additional minutes drive.
Near the world class ski resorts of Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, Sugar Bowl, and Royal Gorge (cross-country), you can be on your skis in 20 – 30 minutes. Our chalet is 30 minutes from Lake Tahoe, 40 minutes from the Reno Airport, and 3 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area. Located well back on a quiet street, our chalet affords privacy and relaxation.
The open floor plan is ideal for special gatherings. Our gourmet kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and is well equipped for those who love to cook (professional cookware, 2 ovens.) In the warmer months, you can barbecue and eat outdoors on the patios.
The bedrooms feature lodge-style furnishings, high thread count sheets, and cozy duvets. Every bedroom has an amazing view. The luxurious master suite includes a fireplace and marble bathroom with separate tub and shower with spectacular, yet private, views. The attic sleeping loft with flat screen TV and DVD player is ideal for older kids and teens. A washer and dryer are available for your convenience.
For a break from the great outdoors, we offer games, movies and a selection of current fiction. We welcome families with children and provide children’s games, puzzles, movies, books, and a portable crib.

Fantastic home on high point in Tahoe Donner. Views from every direction - Truckee valley, Tahoe Donner ski resort, ranges. Ideal for couples and singles due to number and organization of beds. Was perfect for our group. Elegant, comfortable. The little things set this house apart from others we have rented in Tahoe: throws, games/puzzles, shampoo in showers, items to use in kitchen from spices to condiments to ziplocks. 3 decks, gas grill. Only complaint is the hot tub is really only made for 4, 6 fit ok, but should be bigger for a home sleeping 13.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.
