This one of a kind stone lodge is located in the heart of the Sonoma Wine Country, in the glorious Valley of the Moon. It is situated at the mouth of a canyon that leads to a state park. The great room with mammoth old-world stone fireplace soars above 18 feet. All the pool-facing first floor windows bifold back to open completely to the rural splendor; secluded and picturesque. Brand new outdoor firepit under 150 foot tall fir trees in addition to propane grill.
4000 square feet including3 bedrooms/4 bathrooms in main house and 1/1 in a separate guest cottage with its own full kitchen. Complete with 2 stone fireplaces, chemical free lap pool, waterfall, spa(hot tub), steam shower and exercise room. There are endless views to the forested peaks of the nearby state park. It is a 5 minute walk to famous wineries; hiking and horseback riding are just up the road. This is an interior designer's private residence; original country European antiques abound throughout. The very large professional kitchen is fully equipped with all amenities and has an adjacent 14 foot wine bar with temperature controlled refrigeration. Secluded yet only five minutes from the award-winning wineries. Elaborate stereo system, phone/intercom system, wifi. Gardener included, housekeeper and/or chef can be arranged. The world famous Kenwood Inn and Spa is just down the lane. Well appointed for entertaining, but please know we cannot accommodate large parties due to local zoning laws. We do not wish to disturb our neighbors in this peaceful, private area. We ask that no more than fifteen people be on the property for day parties of any sort without previous permission of owner.
12 miles from Sonoma Plaza, 10 miles to Santa Rosa; 30 minutes to the Russian River and Napa valley, 1.25 hours to San Francisco,Oakland or Sacramento airports. Santa Rosa airport is only 20 minutes away and now has nonstop flights from LAX and Seattle. |
