This was by far the best condo we have ever stayed at. The balcony alone was enough to make this property worth it and the interior was outstanding. Every thing we could possibly need was already in place at the condo when we arrived. Leaps and bounds above any other vacation rental - and we've stayed at a lot of them over the years. I would give this property higher marks than most $600/night places we have stayed in Vail & Telluride. Thank you, Jen We'll be back in August and looking forward to relaxing on the balcony in the warm summer evenings!

Wow - we expected a nice place from the pictures and reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was even more beautiful in person and comfortable to live in for a week with our two children 6 & 9. It is very large, high ceilings, roomy, open, airy, and the balcony is fantastic. We turned on the air when we returned to the condo each day from our mountain adventures (the best mountain biking!) to cool down the condo from the afternoon heat, and within 15 minutes, we turned it off and enjoyed the breeze & sounds of the river the rest of the evening. Although the kids were sleeping in the living room, each night we slipped out on the balcony to do a bit of bedtime yoga by the river, under the stars. It was the affordable luxury vacation we were seeking. Thank you, Jen!

This is truly an outstanding condo. We did not want for anything. I'm so excited that we picked it. The kitchen was better stocked than mine at home. If we had stayed longer, I would have started gourmet cooking. Besides the two NetBooks provided (sweet!), our favorite extra was a rolling shopping bag (rolls like luggage). It's about the size to hold 4 plastic bags or 2 reusable bags. Being right on the river path, we used it to walk to the nearby health food grocery and to downtown. We found that it was easier to make the decision to walk knowing that we wouldn't have to carry anything heavy home from our adventures. The river path seems to be how a lot of people get around in Durango. Motivating! The condo was super quiet, spacious, and comfortable. We had the patio doors open to the river nearly the entire stay. It's a very calming space. I highly recommend this condo.

Being new to VRBO I was definitely skeptical and hesitant, but wow, this place has totally spoiled me for any other future stay through VRBO. The value was excellent. I was looking to stay a few nights, last minute, during the week after Christmas, which is just insanely packed and pricey. I was considering the Hilton DoubleTree, since I was pretty sure it would be fresh and clean, but wanted something more private than a generic hotel. I'm SO happy I took the leap and rented the RiverGate Loft. The condo is exactly as it appears in the pictures and it's absolutely huge for a one bedroom. It was very clean, modern, comfortable, and much better than any generic hotel in Durango. So well stocked with anything you can think of, it's crazy impressive. The transaction was fast, simple, and secure. I received my safety deposit quickly after checkout. Thanks so much Jen! Loved it.

We were extremely pleased with our choice for accommodations in Durango. This Loft provided five star hotel quality for a third of what we had just spent in Telluride for a much smaller condo. The views from the loft were simply amazing! We invited two of our friends from Durango to enjoy a BBQ on the patio and they were so impressed they didn't want to leave (even though we had to move inside when it got too chilly when the sun set - which was beautiful from the patio as well). It was a 20 minute drive north to our hiking trail up at Durango Mountain Resort and a 10 minute drive to our hike on the Colorado Trail. It was a 3 minute drive to downtown. We only walked to downtown once because of time constraints, but it was a beautiful walk along the river and the leaves were just as beautiful in town as they were on our hikes. We really appreciated the comfortable king bed, the high quality linens, and the well stocked pantry/supplies. As other reviewers have mentioned, we agree that it was so nice to have everything we needed already at hand. The rental transaction was done through paypal and the owner refunded our damage deposit the same day we checked out. We've stayed at quite a few VRBO properties and this was far and above the best place. It was the easiest rental transaction and the most luxurious value for our dollar!

My husband and I stayed at this condo over Labor day. We were very impressed. The owner has an insane amount of supplies in stock. It was really, really nice not to have to run out to the store to get things we needed. It was quiet, comfortable and spacious. The breeze from the river was fantastic. The bed was comfortable and we especially enjoyed that there was a netbook for us to use - it's so hard to look up restaurants on the tiny phone screen. I read through most of the reviews before we booked and they were all spot-on when describing how great this place is. We paid through paypal and our deposit was refunded the same day we checked out. We will definitely stay here the next time we vacation in Durango. Thank you, Jen!

This condo is super clean, is situated in a charming spot just outside of downtown Durango. It is contemporary and spartan in a good way (no clutter) and it is the best stocked vrbo place we have seen. The furniture and bed are top quality; the bathroom is large; and the two flatscreen tvs are nice to have. We were impressed especially with the high quality towels, the stocked bathrobes like a five star hotel, and the many amenities the hosts supplied made it convenient, luxurious and hassle free. When we got there after a long, long trip, it was a real treat to have snacks, sodas, coffee and bathing items in small sizes ready for our vacation to begin. We highly recommend this Rivergate condo!!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this spacious loft condo in Durango. The condo is exactly as shown on the website ... with all the comforts of home... very well stocked & tasteful modern southwest decor. We especially enjoyed the open loft area with all the windows for beautiful views of the Animas River. We stayed here during our road trip through Southwest Colorado and Utah ... our lodging here in Durango was BY FAR the best ! Our deposit was returned promptly within 2 days and the price was most reasonable in comparison to all our other lodging. Thank you for sharing your condo home with us.

Always on the lookout for a new destination, my husband and I decided on Durango for a spring trip getaway. This loft was even more amazing than the pictures suggested. We split our time between mountain biking and relaxing at the loft. It was well equipped for cooking and there was a great healthy grocery just a few minutes' walk across the river. The king bed had high quality linens and was quite comfortable. The entire loft was very spacious, contemporary, and quiet. Being ex-military, my husband was impressed with how clean it was (he is tough when it comes to that). We rode our bikes along the river to downtown and would gauge it at about a mile and a half. We saw a few short cuts that we were hesitant to take, being from out of town. Durango was a great choice. The people were friendly. The weather was perfect. We both highly recommend this VRBO property. We're planning a return trip for late September when the leaves are turning and will be staying here at Jen's Rivergate Loft!

My wife and I stayed at this condo in April and I have finally gotten around to writing a review. The place was fantastic! We came to Durango as part of our mountain biking vacation series. There is a great system of mountain trails 1/4 mile from the condo, but we spent most of our time on more grueling trails 10-20 minutes north of Durango. I digress - back to the condo. Open space, relaxing, peaceful, quiet, breezy, modern, clean. Zen. We were comfortable from the moment we arrived until we left Durango a few days later for our next set of rides, this time in Telluride. We stay in vacation rentals and hotels a lot. This property beats them all in every category!

My wife and I drove up to Durango for our grandson's karate tournament a few weeks ago. My son's house was already full, so we found this condo on VRBO.com. We both highly recommend this condo. I think it would be great for anyone, not just old folks like us. It was luxurious, very quiet, very clean, and very comfortable. We enjoyed a mid-afternoon sun session (translation = nap) each day on the balcony enjoying the river and the mountains surrounding us. The condo was truly amazing. You'll be happy with your choice. Thank you.

My husband and I enjoyed an amazing, fun filled, long weekend last week in Durango. We could not have picked a more perfect rental. It was immaculate, stocked with things that made my wife happy time and time again, quiet, luxurious, and comfortable. The weather was so great during our visit that we were able to ski two days, and hike two days. The transaction through paypal was easy and our deposit was refunded the day after we got home. We recommend you visit Durango and we highly recommend this Loft to pamper you when you come home to rest and replenish!

We really enjoyed this condo. It had lots of room, was very close to downtown, stocked with all sorts of extras, and the views are exactly as pictured here - but even better in person. We enjoyed the large soaking tub with the provided bath salts after our time at the ski resort. It was clear to us that the owners paid alot of attention to the details and the payoff was that we didn't need to shop for essentials even once during our entire five night stay. The sweet little computer helped us find the cool places to go in Durango. Great location - Awesome views - Killer patio - Easy paypal payment/deposit refund - Comfortable bed - Comfortable sofa & chairs - Spit-Spot Clean!

My wife and I came to Durango over the New Year's holiday for skiing. The skiing was fantastic at Durango Mountain Resort. This condo was a great choice! With vacation rentals, we usually have to stock the place up just to enjoy our stay, but this condo already had everything we needed. They spared no expense. The views from the condo are beyond amazing. DVR (for the TV) and supplied netbook computer, were both welcome additions. Everyone should provide those. Our stay was enjoyable and extremely comfortable. It was a 2 minute drive to downtown and a 20 minute drive to DMR. We had great service and food at all of the restaurants we visited during our stay. Fortunately, the owner provided a list of recommended places. Durango is a great town and this is an Outstanding Condo. The rental transaction was simple. The damage deposit was refunded promptly. We are looking forward to a return visit this summer! Thank you for a great time in Durango!

Our stay at Durango was extra special thanks to the pampered feeling we received at Rivergate. The condo is so spacious and every detail met ahead of any of our needs. From the netbook at our disposal to sunscreen needed for our mountain hikes, and the amazingly stocked kitchen, we really wanted for nothing. Just come with an attitude to relax and explore the wonderful area, and you won't be disappointed. The extra large tub was a welcome end to each day full of adventure! Jen is a wonderful host. We hope to come back someday...We highly recommend!

This was our first visit to Durango and I'm glad we came. The condo was just perfect! We enjoyed the open floor plan with the living room, dining, kitchen, and patio all in one big area. The king bed was very comfortable and the boys had fun on the pullouts in the living room. The extra large master bathroom was appreciated with the four of us and there was another half bath in the hall. The property was also very quiet, which was nice. You don't see patios as great as this one. We spent quite a bit of time lounging out there watching the water go by, enjoying the mountain views. This was a very relaxing vacation and we give alot of credit to both the beautiful part of the country we were in and this great condo!

The pictures understate what a great loft this is. All of the rooms are very large including the fantastic balcony. You'll be impressed with the amount of stars you can see in Durango. Each night we reclined on the balcony enjoying the night sky. Very comfortable bed, great linens, great shower, extra clean, well stocked. We didn't utilize the kitchen, but it looked awesome! If we were in Durango for longer, I would have enjoyed cooking there. It was a 4 minute drive to downtown and a 30 minute walk (we did each). Next time we're bringing our bikes and staying at Rivergate! Thank You, Jen!

My husband and I really enjoyed this condo. The views were amazing! We were surrounded by mountains. Old folks ourselves, we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching the brave folks rafting down the river. As far as Durango is concerned: we rode the train one day (beautiful, long day, dirty, recommended), and on the other, we shopped downtown for a while, then drove up into the cool mountains and had mid-day tea sitting on the rocks by the LaPlata river (thanx for the suggestion and directions, Jen!). I hope our next trip can be longer! I would recommend this condo. It was quiet, clean, comfortable, and was stocked with everything we needed. Five star property!!!

Close to downtown. We brought our bikes and only drove our car once the entire three day stay. The loft has large rooms, modern furniture, and great balcony. The pictures do not do this place or the view justice. The views are breathtaking! The bed and sheets were very comfortable. Nice thick, white towels. This is a very clean place. The trout fishing was fantastic right outside our door! The communication was professional and prompt and the transaction was easy on paypal. We loved this loft!!!

My sister and I stayed at the Rivergate loft in May. Comfortable, yet elegantly decorated. We noticed the attention to the details. Over the entire week, we found everything we needed, right at our fingertips. (No more hunting for 20 minutes for the corkscrew). The best of all are the views. The mountains and river views are amazing and the soft lights of the city in the evening while sitting in the living room with the balcony doors open was quite cosmopolitan, yet secluded mountain experience all at the same time. This is a fantastic property!

I spent five nights in this condo in May, accompanied by my husband and our 12 year old son. We had a wonderful, relaxing time. This condo has amazing views of the mountains and river. Truly amazing! We spent alot of time outside on the balcony. There is a table for four with an umbrella (the umbrella was as welcome addition mid-day) and two reclining lounge chairs with a propane heater for chilly night star watching. The open floor plan was great - we were able to cook, watch TV, play on the computer, and enjoy the views all at the same time by having the balcony doors wide open. The location of this condo is secluded, but still very near downtown. There is a Natures Oasis grocery store a five minute walk along the river and Durango also has a 24 hour WalMart, which was nice. Our adventures included whitewater rafting down the Animas River right past our condo, hiking the Colorado Trail (the trailhead was only about 4 miles from the condo), hiking at Mesa Verde national park (about 30 minutes from the condo), and lots of great meals downtown in the evenings. For our day adventures, we packed healthy sandwiches and snacks because once you get on a trail, the last thing you want to do is hike back down and drive to town for nourishment. We walked downtown for dinner twice and drove twice. It's a very nice walk along the river. I wouldn't recommend it if you have little ones (unless in a stroller). It took us 34 minutes door to door, which is a perfect length for us, but everyone enjoys different lengths of walks. There is a great park about half way to downtown named Santa Rita Park. The visitor center is also in this park. This is a fantastic property. We will definitely come back. I highly recommend this condo!

First Class - Five Star Property!! The wife and I stayed here while skiing last week. We've stayed at the slopes before, but we prefer staying in town. A day or two is about all I can handle stuck in the cold dark mountains at night before I want the lights of downtown Durango. These accomodations looked nice in the pictures but are much nicer in person. The place was immaculate. A five star property at a great rate!!!

Slept great in the master - our son (16yrs) slept great on the pullout chair/bed in the living room. We are glad we chose to stay in town instead of up near the slopes. It's a big advantage to not have to make that drive to/from town at night. You will be glad you chose this place!

This is a great condo. We came to Durango last weekend for some pre-Christmas skiing. It was so nice to stay in town instead of up on the ski slopes. It is a short 2 minute drive to downtown for great restaurants (we ate at Steamworks two of our four nights in Durango). The condo was quiet, comfortable, spacious and was stocked with everything we could possibly need. My husband and I both slept great in the king bed. The linens are fantastic. This is a high quality vacation home for an affordable price. Booking and paying thru paypal was easy and the owner refunded our deposit the day we left to head back home. This is a great property. We stayed here last weekend and spent all day Sat & Sun hiking in the mountains, then to come back to this condo was fantastic. My wife soaked in the large tub with the provided bath salts each night. She said it was like heaven. The patio views were unbelievable both day and night. We enjoyed watching the sun set over the mountains while resting up from our daily hikes. The bed was extremely comfortable and the condo was upscale, clean and fresh. It was a 3 minute drive to downtown for dinner, a 10 minute drive to the Colorado Trailhead, and a 15 minute drive to the LaPlata mountains (our two hiking places as suggested by the condo owner). We liked this place the best of any of the vacation rentals we've ever stayed at. It's especially nice that it's in town, but not noisy like the downtown hotels we've stayed at before. This condo is a high end property at an inexpensive price. We'll stay here again and would highly recommend this condo to others.

I come to Durango a few times a year on business, and last week I had a last minute trip and instead of staying at the Doubletree (where I usually stay), my wife checked VRBO for me and found this great condo. I recommend it. It was much more comfortable than the hotel. The place was quiet, comfortable - where else can you sit next to a beautiful river, enjoying mountain views and get work done on your laptop! I really enjoyed my stay and it cost less than the Doubletree! I've found a new favorite place to stay when I come to Durango.

My husband, our two kids, and I stayed at this condo last week. It's a great place. I would highly recommend it. Great value! The king bed was very comfortable with high quality linens. The entire place was freakishly clean - you don't see that very often with vacation rental properties. The kids loved the pullouts in the living room. My husband and I enjoyed sitting out on the balcony with the heater enjoying the crisp night air after the kids went to sleep. Our 9 year old figured out how to record TV shows so we could all stay out late and not miss "Medium". Everything was well stocked. Unlike most other places we've stayed over the years, we didn't have to buy a single thing for the condo during our four day stay. The wireless was fast, cell phone service (Verizon) was excellent. We'll definitely stay here next time we come to Durango. Marvelous Property! Highly recommend!

This condo is much nicer than described. The pictures do not do it justice. The views are simply amazing. The balcony is amazing in the morning and evening after the sun goes down. It cools off nicely in the evenings and we enjoyed leaving the wide balcony doors open to the sounds of the river. This condo is centrally located and was a 2 minute drive to downtown and a great home spot for our daytime adventures to Mesa Verde and Vallecito Lake. It was nice that there was underground parking becuase sometimes during the day the street level parking was tight. Extremely well stocked. Our favorite was the utility drawer. It had everything ours does at home, without all the jumk. We enjoyed our stay so much we are going to come back to Durango next spring and we are definitely staying at this condo! Great Property!

What a great condo! This is by far the nicest place we've found (and we stay in vacation rentals a lot). High ceilings, tastefully decorated, wood floors, a comfortable bed with high count linens and down-alternative comforter, stainless & granite, large shower, great soaking tub, extremely well stocked. My husband and I slept the best we had in years on the king sized bed. Not sure if it was the sheets or the clean mountain air, or just that we were having such a good time in Durango. Although the condo is large and just great, the patio is is the showstopper. In the cool mornings we enjoyed eating breakfast outside and lingering over coffee. Watching and listening to the river is so relaxing. The patio can get pretty sunny in the afternoons, but there is an umbrella with the table, so only the grill person gets the sun. By 7:30 the sun would set and many nights we were home to witness a great sunset over the mountains. This is a high end condo. We were pleasantly surprised and found it to be many levels up from what we expected for the mid $200's price. We've stayed at $600/night places that weren't half as nice. I commend the owner, Jen on offering a great property, great communication, and an easy rental transaction. We'll be back next time we come to Durango. Oh - and by the way, Durango was the most fun! We rode the train to Silverton & back, hiked on the Colorado Trail, rode bikes to/from the condo. Living the good life!

This condo was great! Very large 1 bedroom with very nice appointments. The deck/patio is nice for the evenings in summer. It is less than 10 minutes to downtown by bike (path or road). We will definately be back.

Top Notch Property! This place is out of a dream. Unbelievable views – mountains and river! Inside and outside on the balcony, this condo was just as comfortable as our home – but with much better views and much cleaner air. The condo is stocked with all sorts of things eliminating those last minute trips to the store (although there is a grocery less than a five minute stroll along the river path). We like to stay in and cook, and this kitchen was outstanding. We even got some ideas for our own upcoming kitchen remodel. We come to Durango a couple times a year and now that we've found Jen's Rivergate Loft, we won't stay anywhere else. Thank you, Jen - we'll be back in early October for the fall leaves.

This was a last minute rental for us. Jen gave us a steal of a deal! This is a five star condo - what a value! The weather was great. We had so much fun in Durango - shopping - riding bikes - hiking. It was such a pleasure to come back home to Rivergate. It was quiet, comfortable, and we especially loved breakfast on the patio before starting out on our adventures for the day. We would highly recommend this condo.

My husband and I stayed at Jen's condo last week. What an outstanding place! It was nice being so close to downtown. We walked twice and drove once. The weather was great. The interior of this condo is fabulous, but the patio is truly worth a million bucks! We've stayed at the Doubletree in Durango before and not been comfortable. We're so glad we found this condo! We'll be back this summer! Thanx Jen!!!

You will love this place as much as my husband and I do. It was quiet, impecably decorated, close to downtown, and stocked with everything we could possibly have needed during our week stay. The bed was very comfortable. We loved grilling out on the patio enjoying the river and the unbelievable mountain views. We travel alot and have to say that this is the best property we have yet come upon. We'll be back!

Fabulous! Filled with so many nice, thoughtful touches to make your stay its most comfortable--king sized bed with high quality linens; the heater on the porch so you can enjoy the crispness in the air yet remain toasty at the same time; Dish Network TV (there was more rodeo available than we were able to watch!); even some items in the pantry we could use that made us feel like we were staying in a best-friend's home and not a barren condo. Thank you for providing the extras to make our visit memorable and top-notch!

We stayed at the condo in mid October and thought it was awesome! To put in better context I would add that during our trip my wife and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton - Denver and the St. Regis in Aspen yet we found Jen's condo to be of equivalent quality to both of those properties and preferable in some ways. I would agree with a previous comment that the pictures on VRBO, while good, do not do the condo justice. Jen was great to deal with and prompt in addressing questions and refunding our deposit. I hope that everyone shows Jen and the property the respect both deserve. (Durango is great, too!)

TOP NOTCH! The architecture, the high ceilings, the view of the river and mountains, the deck, the very comfortable furnishings...this place has it all! Really, we didn't think the ad or photos did the actual experience justice; everything was better than what we expected. Jen was easy to deal with and the communication pieces and directions in and to the condo were "professional;" the whole time I didn't have any questions, because they always seemed to be answered without having to call anyone. Only regret is that I'm not sure we could find a better place in Durango for future stays, so I don't want to try any others out. Thanks for the relaxing stay!

We stayed at Jen's condo for a week in Sept and really loved it. It is a first class condo. We loved hanging out on the deck, the wonderful view and the walks into town. Would definitely stay there again.

A beautiful and clean condo. We appreciate the high quality sheets, towels and washer and dryer and the well stocked kitchen. Thank you for the snacks! The instant oatmeal was perfect for our last morning before rushing off to the airport. Best of all though, were the bath salts for soaking in the tub after a long hike or run. Many thoughtful touches contributed to a pleasant and relaxing stay. Thank you.
