DO NOT MISS THIS HOUSE! This beach home is far and away the most beautiful, well appointed and meticulously managed rental we've ever seen. It is so flawless that we actually thought we were the first renters. Harry and Linda are incredible hosts; they made us feel welcomed and gave us just the right amount of personal care. We walked on the beach for hours, barbequed on the grill facing the ocean, and we picnicked on the huge front lawn, while we watched the sun set over the water. Incredible. And the price was great. We got more than our money's worth. My advice is to reserve it quickly, because this home will soon be so popular, it will be difficult to get.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We loved staying in this house during our week-long Maui vacation. It worked perfectly for my husband, myself, our two teenage daughters and my mother-in-law. We arrived three hours later than anticipated, and Linda and Harry were there to meet us and make sure we knew where everything was. It was such a welcoming home--comfortable, perfectly stocked and easy to find. We could hear the ocean, even if it was too dark to see it when we arrived. The next morning we sat out front, enjoying the view of the water, a wonderful breakfast with Linda's yummy mango bread and Kona coffee. My daughters loved the hammock, the yard was beautiful, the ocean was close, and the house was so spotless and absolutely clean that we couldn't think of anything we'd change--except maybe to stay longer next time. It was truly a relaxing home away from home. Thanks Harry and Linda -- we loved it and hope to come back some day.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children.

If you are reading through all the reviews as I did before I rented this beach house, trust me when I say you will NOT go wrong renting this house. To start off with Harry and Linda are really wonderful people and have gone out of their way to think of everything you would need while staying at their beach house. I rented this house for our family of 7 and it had all of the comforts of home. Harry and Linda were right there to greet us as we finally got to the beach house about 20 hours later than we should have due to a hydrolics issue with our plane. As frustrated as we all were arriving almost a day late, it was all better when we finally got there and met Harry and Linda and they showed us all through the house. Linda put together such an amazing basket of fruit, nuts, cookies, homemade mango bread, pancake mix etc, that we munched on the whole 5 days that we were there. Thanks so much Linda, it was great! We all had a great time at the beach right across the road. It was so easy to pack your bag and walk right across the road to a great beach that wasn't inhabited by a ton of people. It felt like it was our own private beach. We made just about all of our meals right at the house and the kitchen was stocked with just about anything you could want, including any spices you needed. There was a nice grill on the front patio to grill anything you wanted to make, along with a table and chairs right there to eat at overlooking the beach and to watch the whales. There was a washer and dryer for you to wash your clothes, so you didn't have to bring so many with you, plus you could go home with all of your clothes washed already. Our group was my husband and I, our daughter and her boyfriend, and our son and daughter-in-law and their 9 month old daughter, who they even had a port-a-crib all set up for when we got there, plus a stroller, a highchair and a baby pool all ready for us to use. It was nice to all be together during the day and for meals, but then to each have our own space at night to get a good nights sleep was great. The master bathroom had a big jacuzzi tub that was awesome to soak in after a day of running around the island, it was a nice way to relax. We never took the time to watch any movies while we were there, because we played cards instead, but there were over a 100 movies there to choose from and there was a TV and DVD player in all three bedrooms. I tell you just quit looking any further and rent this beach house!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children.

Your beautiful and spotless homes were perfect for our extended family of 10 including two pre-school children! We loved the spacious yard and gathering on your Patio for Happy Hour to watch the sunset and to catch up on Highlights of our day and plan the evening!! Our vacation centered around the wedding of our nephew and his beautiful bride. You supplied everything that made our evening to host a relaxed dinner under the stars. It was perfect so both of their families could be together and enjoy themselves 2 days before the Plantation Ceremony. We couldn't have done it without YOU and your Party Treasures!! We loved hearing your stories about the History of your Home and the Hawaiian Heritage you have. Playing Hide n' Seek with the grandchildren behind your Palm Trees will be a forever memory! Our family had a wonderful week here. We had 6 "kids" with us ages 26-32 and there was plenty of room on the beautiful lawn to play bocci or vollyeball or just sunbathe. The kitchen was so well-equipped and when we arrived late from the airport, a basket was waiting for us with fresh fruit, coffee, tea, snacks and homemade mango bread. That was so appreciated. The pictures on VRBO don't do it justice! The patio is beautiful with a large table that we used for eating or playing games. Right across from a beautiful quiet beach - took only a few steps to go swimming or just soaking up the sun. In the morning on the beach we watched whales and in the evening, from the patio beautiful sunsets. Kids took surfing lessons in Lahaina - short drive and there were lots of places close by for snorkeling. Wonderful place for family with any age group. We used the boogie board, beach mats, towels, etc. Everything was there for us. We loved it and if we can ever manage to get everyone together again at the same time, we'll be back. Thanks so much. All the furnishings were lovely and it felt like home right away! We even went to a luau close by! Thanks for a great holiday.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Linda and Richard were so hospitable and helpful it was truly a blessing to be greeted by these two lovely wonderful home owners! The welcome baskets have been mentioned over and over again this is just the beginning of this couples extension of hospitality. We had the pleasure of renting all three homes for our family to stay in during our daughters wedding. The grounds were perfect and each home was tastefully decorated and very very clean. Our family was really taken back at all the attention to detail...chairs for the beach, cooler, umbrellas, bogie boards and if they did not have it i think Richard and Linda would have figured out a way to get it to us. I would strongly suggest this property for a family reunion or small wedding. The beach is truly across the street. We walked the beach every morning and evening. The traffic is busy during the day and I only really know this because there was one day that we all stayed at the house during the day, we adventured out each day. The other plus to this house is the location. We had to run here and there for last minute wedding details and it was so simple. Really I have tried to think of a draw back to any of Richard and Linda's homes but I can not. The only thing could be the frontage road but it truly did not bother our family. Great houses, great people and a really good price! Also I have to give a shout out for Beach Bums Bar & Grill 300 Maalaea Boat Harbor Road Wailuku, HI 96793?. They mirrored Richard and Linda's gracious hospitality. Go there for sure or use them for catering like we did.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

We were a family of 6 adults staying here from Oct. 6th-20th 2012.. My husband and i have stayed at Linda and Harry's properties 3 times now.. This time we had our adult kids along with us, and it is safe to say everyone had a wonderful time.. We really enjoy these properties because you don't feel crowded as you do in the bigger complexes.. Watching the sunsets, bbq'ing, laying in the hammock reading, drinking the odd corona on the deck, so many great memories.. The house is clean and has everything you need, and as others have mentioned the welcome basket has lots of goodies in it (my favorite is Linda's Mango Bread).. So do yourselves a favor and book this property if you want a nice place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Maui.. We'll be back!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

Imagine arriving late at night, exhausted from approx 18 hours of travelling, working on a 5 hour time difference and driving up in the dark to the welcome of the porch and house lights and two wonderful hosts Harry and Linda. Now imagine being warmly greeted, given a tour of an immaculate home that has been prepared for your stay. And after sleeping the jet lag away, you will not only awake to the beautiful Maui sunshine, but lanai that provides you a view of the ocean. No worries about breakfast as a welcome basket will have been prepared with delicious treats that will keep you filled up until you decide to wander to the nearby farmers market or take a short drive to one of the grocery stores. (Thanks Linda for the delicious homemade bread. The pancake mix and coconut syrup were also a hit). Once settled in you will find this home away from home has everything you could ever need. For our family of six (parents, two children (11 & 8) and grandparents), this was the perfect spot to relax. We loved our early morning walks at the beach collecting sea glass. It was so great to wake up and be able to just walk across the street and be on the beach. Nothing beats this location! Snorkeling, boogie boarding and playing bocce ball were also great past times, using the well stocked supply of equipment in the shed out back. A second visit from Harry and Linda was a highlight as they toured us about the yard showing us the various fruit trees and getting our children engage in the history and environment of the island. They also let us know about a great swap meet that takes place on Saturday's at the Maui College Campus. This is definitely a place kids feel welcome. Our kids loved the little surfer room and Harry's amazing movie collection as well. This was perfect for those times they just needed some down time. For the adults, our rooms were very comfortable, the well appointed kitchen made cooking a breeze and the patio chairs/hammocks were great for kicking back with a good book in the sunshine. The only drawback about staying at Harry and Linda's beautiful home is that you will never want leave!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

For everyone looking at this house, stop looking and phone Linda and Harry and book it up before someone else gets it. This was our THIRD stay at their house by the sea. We love it in Maui and this place just feels like home. The house is amazing and the pictures don't do it justice. It's in pristine shape and is by far better than anyone expects for the price. Harry and Linda go so far above and beyond for this rental place. They meet you at the house with the lovely welcome basket. They are both friendly and helpful and will give you lots of local advice. The house has everything you need, except a toothbrush! Pack light. If your an unfortunate one that has to work while on vacation the high speed internet and long distance package on the phone is great. As usualy they spoiled our kids with little toys. The front yard is huge and our kids got some of their energy out by running around. The new lanai is amazing. What a HUGE improvement. We spent every morning on it drinking coffee and watching the ocean. We ate supper many times outside also. So peaceful. The stamped concrete is warm on the feet even at 10 at night. I tell everyone about this place. The house itself, the location and Harry and Linda make this the best rental place in Kihei. Thanks again for an amazing place!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My wife and I, together with 9 other relatives and friends, stayed here (and the 2-br cottage) during our wedding week. We enjoyed every minute of it. The place has almost everything we needed (even 2 rice cookers! perfect for asian visitors). The location is also very convenient: it's a 20 min drive to the airport, half an hour drive to Lahaina, right across the South Kihei road is a public beach with excellent sunset views. Linda and Harry have been very helpful even before we arrived, they suggested a number of local wedding service providers and caterers. We ended up having our reception dinner in the front yard of the house. It was gorgeous! Linda even provided us with decoration lights, table clothes, champaign glasses and many more!
