LOVED this place! Stayed here for annual girls weekend. We lucked out and had SUMMER like weather. Loved all the amenties, the house had everything. Every morning we took long walks on the beach. Can't wait to go back.

I've enjoyed two long weekends at this cozy but comfortable spot looking over the waves at Stinson Beach. Colorful and fun decor, and walking distance to good restaurants.

Recommended for:Pet owners, romantic getaway.

La Sarena

This was our third stay at the beach getaway, so peaceful, so very close to town, all the ammenties you could possibly need in the kitchen. Loved the outdoor fire pit that we shared with guests next door from Germany. Beautiful beach views from the front room windows and pet friendly. Easy and user freindly booking. Can't beat it....we'll be back.

Recommended for:Girls getaway, pet owners.

Great location, very clean, and right on the beach (unlike many places at Stinson). Lots of room for two adults, comfortable, a real cottage and good value. We were in three other cottages visiting family and La Serena was on par with the others in terms of furnishings: functional but not luxurious. More space at La Serena than the average that we saw. Beng so close to the beach was great, you can hear the waves all the time, very cool.

Right on the beach and walking distance to shops and restaurants yet feels like it's so far removed. It was a great place to relax, hit the beach, hike, surf or chill with family. Modern yet cozy, I would return in a heartbeat...

My wife and I stayed 2 nights mid-week in early June and had a great time here! The unit is steps from the beach and the sounds and views of the ocean were very relaxing. We enjoyed getting excellent takeout food (fresh halibut) from the Parkside Cafe and eating at our table in the unit overlooking the sunset over the beach - doesn't get much better than that. All is good unless you did lock yourself out of the unit like we did! Karen, the owner, was very gracious and responsive to help us out in a jam! Very clean, nicely decorated place. Definetely recommend this for a quiet stay for 2 in beautiful place on the beach. Stinson Beach is a nice town that is not crowded, easy to navigate and not far from San Franscisco.

Wonderful Relaxing Time

This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at the house. We always have such a great time. It is a perfect place to disconnect from the world, but there is fast internet and a flat screen TV if you so choose. We love the ocean view from the front and the Mt Tamm view from the back porch. The back porch has a a nice gas grill and small table for dinner. The kitchen is well put together. No need to bring anything except what you want to cook for your meals. Across the park is the small Stinson Beach grocery store that is small but has amazing local organic fruit and vegetables and free range meats and cheese and ice cream. We spent our days between the beach and hiking and riding up Mt Tamm. If you choose to go out. There is live music and tasty food at the Sand Dollar Cafe . We are looking for ward to coming back soon.

A Beautiful Beach Getaway...

Had a wonderful getaway at this fantastic beach-front apartment! Sunlight pours in through the large ocean-facing windows in the afternoon, and in the evening you can doze off to the soothing sounds of the crashing waves. The apartment is meticulously clean and well-maintained, not to mention well-stocked with everything you could need. Every morning we grabbed a blanket, brewed some coffee and carried it down to the beach in a thermos. There is a hidden path through some bushes that leads directly there. And just in case you get bored with looking at the ocean, the back deck faces the gorgeous mountains that rise above the town. What more could you possibly want one hour from the city?

The Perfect Restorative

My husband and I just spent a beautiful restorative winter weekend at La Sirena. Everything was perfect. The small, efficient unit was light filled, clean, well equipped, the bed was comfortable, and the views were amazing. We brought our small dog and there was even a clean water bowl just for him. The kitchen had all the equipment needed to create beautiful meals. It was too cold and stormy to use the deck and barbeque, but when we return we will be sure to enjoy that amenity as well. While we did eat at the always delicious Parkside, we also enjoyed live jazz, cocktails nosh, and lively conversation at the Sand Dollar. The unit provided privacy, so we felt as if it just us and the ocean’s roar. There was a family in the larger unit in front with several children and we didn’t hear them at all. This was a last minute trip and the owners couldn’t have been more accommodating. We hope to return soon to La Sirena for another relaxing time on our stunning coast.

beautifully situated clean and romantic beach house

Lovely cozy house with everything inside you need for a relaxing vacation: fully equipped kitchen, excellent beds, cozy living, magnificant views, clean and safe beach just right in the front. The wider area is very nice as well with scenic, winding hillroads with beautiful panoramas, good walking/hiking options. Sonoma and Napa valley are just a short drive away and parking your car in Sausalito and taking the Ferry to San Fran is a great way to discover this big city in one day. Stinson Beach itself is a wonderful picturesque little village with, as we believe, has one of the best restaurants in Marin County (or even in the entire Bay area?) just 3 minutes walking from the La Sirena apartment. Defintely a place to go back to!

Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Excellent little getaway with everything you need to feel at home. Great gardens and great location on the beach. Very clean and neat! We made all our meals on the gas range and BBQ!
