Water access from the dock continues from Duck Lake to over 24,000 acres of prime kayaking and northern fishing waters. Duck Lake gives seasonal access to Junior Lake, Scraggly Lake, Bottle Lake, Keg Lake, Norway Lake, West Grand Lake, Grand Lake Stream, and others. Fish available include Small-Mouth Bass, White Perch, Pickerel, Lake Trout (Togue), brook trout, Salmon, and others. You can find Moose, Deer, Bear, Partridge, ducks and more here. Fishing boats, rowboats, kayaks, and canoes are available. Please check with the State of Maine online for license requirements and regulations.
The house has modern conveniences, including ceiling fans, central heating, an open living area, a well-equipped kichen, standard refrigerator w/ice maker, screened-in porch, and an outdoor gas grill. There is a lawn area by the lake, a small firepit, and a private boat dock. Two bedrooms and a sleeping porch can sleep 8-10.
Stroll or jog on miles of woodland trails. Enjoy breathtaking vistas from nearby mountaintops. Relax with a beautiful view on the lawn by the lake, where you may see moose or Bald Eagles. The Duck Lake area also hosts coyotes, bears, and 150+ species of birds, including owls, chickadees, nut hatches, eagles, scarlet tanagers, ravens, ducks, hummingbirds, rose breasted grossbeaks, and the famous wild loons.
When evening settles, share the night sky with your family - so dark and clear that you can actually see the Milky Way. Don't forget your camera to capture glorious sunsets, sweeping panoramas, and reflections of clouds on the water.
