This beautiful house is named "Making Memories" because our wish is it will give everyone happy memories! It is in the lovely community of Grove by the Sea in Seagrove at 26 Cullman Avenue. It is less that a mile from Seaside with all its shops and attractions without the higher rental prices. Located right off of 30A west of Panama City, you'll have close walking access (about 1/2 mile) to the sugar-white sandy beaches, emerald green water, and unbelievable sunsets. Nearby are two great community pools, a tennis court (which you can see from the upper deck), and a playground for the kids. The bike trail runs all along 30A and gives you miles of level, easy riding adventures.
Nearby are the recreation areas of Camp Creek Golf Club (5 miles), Grayton Beach State Park (2.5 miles), Point Washington State Park (1.5 miles), Deer Lake State Park (3.5 miles), and our favorite, Eden State Park with lovely grounds and gardens and its historical plantation house (3.5 miles).
Our house is decorated with our own touches of bright, happy colors, including original whimsical paintings by our daughter, popular artist Tricia Robinson. A plus is the handicapped ramp that has been added to the house to make easy access for wheelchairs (and strollers). The house has beautiful newly refinished hardwood floors, new furnace/air conditioner, new washer/dryer, & stove, and has been deep-cleaned so the entire house sparkles.
The main floor features a large wrap-around screened-in porch with plenty of chairs and rockers and a table for outside dining. The house has wireless internet connection for all of us laptop lovers. The inside is open with a spacious, fully-furnished kitchen, dining area, and living room. The dining table seats 8-10 plus 3 more at the bar. Off the kitchen is a full bath and a laundry room with iron and ironing board. The cheery first floor bedroom has twin beds, French doors to the screened porch, and a TV and DVD player. In the closet are articles for small children---an umbrella stroller, a booster seat to use at the dining room table, plus a small stool to stand on at the bathroom sink.
On the 2nd floor you'll find two roomy and colorful bedrooms with queen beds, a single roll-away bed for extra sleeping space, your own bathrooms, TV, DVD players, and French doors out to the porch with its comfy chairs and a table for enjoying a cup of coffee or even a private meal. You can relax in the jacuzzi tub off the master bedroom. Go up the stairs to the "tower room" and find a great area for the kids or a get-away for adults with TV and a wet bar boasting a sink and fridge. Each end of that room has balconies overlooking the lovely homes and streets of the community. You can get a breath-taking view of the starry night-time skies. There is sleeping for 4 with two sets of bunk beds.
Outside the house you'll find a secluded shady yard with the sweet scent of magnolia trees and Rosemary bushes. The outside shower is a convenient way to wash away the sand. There are lots of water toys for the pool or beach. A charcoal grill is also available.
There is parking for 3 vehicles. Smoking and pets are not allowed.

Why the Owner Chose Grove by the Sea
We started coming with our daughter and her family to the 30-A area when she began taking her art to the Rosemary Beach shows. After staying in Grove By the Sea a few tines, we really loved the peacefulness and beauty of the neighborhood. When this special house came on the market, we knew it was the perfect one for our family! Thus "Making Memories" became our cheery home away from home.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We enjoy relaxing at the pool or being only a few minutes away from the gorgeous white sand beach and the beauty of the Gulf waters. Our neighborhood is quiet and very family-friendly. It's a safe place for our grandkids ro ride their bikes and close to the bike trails that take us on short or long "adventures". Our house is roomy enough for us to find our own quiet spots or have all the family together.

My husband and I are retired and live in Georgia. We've always loved to travel, but after my husband became disabled, we had to go on trips of a day away or less. Coming to the beach with our families has been very special to us. We all enjoy the whole amazing 30-A area and love spending time with our four grandchildren. They are a great blessing in our lives.

It's been almost a year since we were married in Sea Grove Beach. This house is awesome. We had plenty of room and by far the kids most favorite vacation spot. They have bikes there that you can ride down to the beach, or just walk. It's only about a 5 minute walk to the beach. There's a pool on both sides of the house and there's plenty of stuff to do. Trust me, if you want close to the beach in a great house with a great deal, stay here. You won't regret it.

"Making Memories" is a lovely home. It is well maintained, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The house was large enough to accompany my family of ten and there was ample space for all of us. We all felt so at home in this house, it truly was a great place for spending time and making memories. The wrap around porches were like added living space and we ate several meals there. The porches also provided such a nice place to read, escape for a quiet moment and to look at the stars in the evenings. The children loved the tower room and enjoyed having their own space to escape to. We used the pool in the back of the neighborhood and it was just a short walk. The pool was just the right size and an attractive feature of the area. This home is located in a charming neighborhood with walking paths. It was quiet and felt very safe as well. The owner is the nicest person I've had the privilege of renting from in all the years I've rented properties through VRBO. She was always available by phone or email when I had a question or concern. This was a very pleasant vacation for my family and it was largely due in part to our stay at "Making Memories". We enjoyed staying in the Sea Grove Beach area and hope to return again for another memorable visit. I highly recommend this home - it is delightful!

We selected 30-A and Making Memories as the venue for our annual Mother/Daughter/Sisters weekend. What a perfect choice! The house is conveniently located to the beach, pools, Seaside, shopping, dining and just about anything that you need for a get-away. Our hostess, Betty, kept in touch with me the weeks preceding the trip and provided me with a number of tips for what to see, where to shop & where to rent bikes. The house was ideal with enough space (and bathrooms!) for six ladies to make themselves at home. We spent the evenings rocking on the porch, breathing in the salty beach air and catching up with one another. The trail is a short walk away and great for a morning run or afternoon bike ride to get ice cream. I can't say enough about the hospitality of Betty and her beautiful home. Thank you so much for sharing it with us!

We have stayed in this house for 3 years and it is like coming home. The decor is beautiful and it is well appointed. Such a close walk to the beach and there are sand toys and a wagon, and 2 pools that are wonderful. One of our favorite things is the second floor porch. What a great place to relax in the breeze. We all look forward to our future visits! So quiet and peaceful! You will not be disappointed.

Betty & Larry, I had bittersweet feelings today as I vacuumed the sand from the car. We had such a WONDERFUL, blessed time at your beautiful home in Seagrove that we did not want to leave. The kids were ecstatic when they saw the tower room and their private refrigerator! We ate in a few evenings and the home lacked for nothing. The beds were very comfortable, the lighting and decor perfect. The neighborhood was quiet and lovely to take morning and evening walks in. We found it an easy 1 mile bikeride on the path to Seaside. It was so much fun biking thorough the neighborhoods there, shopping and of course stopping for ice cream. I forgot to mention the amazing beach which was perfectly breathtaking. Thanks again for sharing your home and giving us so many precious family memories.

We love this neighborhood and Making Memories! This is the second year we have stayed in Grove by the Sea for many reasons. The main reason is, with 3 kids - 10, 8 and 5, there are so many things to do in this neighborhood. Besides the beach, the kids can bike around the neighborhood, go swimming at two different pools, play tennis, and just explore - we can all go to the beach -which is just across the street or bike down to Seaside on the backroads or the bike paths. Making Memories was a fabulous home!! The bright, beach decor and special touches make this home so much fun and relaxing. The paintings are marvelous and most of them created by the owner's daughter, who also sells the paintings in local galleries. I loved getting up early, before everyone else, and finding a special place on one of two porches to sit and read or just watch the neighborhood come to life. Everyone could have their own space or we could all come together in the kitchen/great room area and eat, play games, read or just talk. The screened in porch downstairs became an extra room for us to enjoy - a gentle breeze seems to always be blowing through this space. The house is well- equipped and beautifully maintained. It really is everything you need for a great family or friends' getaway vacation.

We love Making Memories! We have stayed 2 years in a row and will continue to stay here. It is great and roomy for 2 or more families....very family friendly. The decorating is very fun and cozy. The owners give a lot of tips on shopping and restaurants nearby...also very easy to work with.

We had a great time. The pool was too cold to swim in but the beach was beautiful. We loved using the bikes and the wagon was great for taking stuff to the beach. Very quiet neighborhood and we loved the porches at the house. A great place to stay!
Owner response:We agree that the porches and wagon are great extras. Regretably, we no longer have bikes for guests to use as the maintenance was too difficult----tires were flat, chains off, and several bikes just "disappeared'. Thankfully there are numerous bike rental shops in the area, and some even deliver to the house.

Your house is the best! I think I have finally redeemed myself with my family for all the other places we have stayed that "looked great" on the internet. We enjoyed the porches every morning, lunchtime, and evening. What a blessing your beach house was to us all.
