WORST OWNER EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

If I could redo my trip to Aspen, the first thing I would do is find a new place to stay!!! Dealing with the owner of this property and the person who "manages" the property for her was, and still is a complete and total nightmare! I just wanted to have a nice relaxing girls weekend in Aspen... needless to say that didn't happen. Upon arriving we noticed that the unit had not been cleaned from the previous tenant; there were countless dirty towels, dirty sheets on all of the beds, a dirty kitchen and dirty bathrooms. After informing the owner via e-mail (the only way I could get ahold of her- because the number that was on the contract was not in service) and notifying her that this was the case, I was left to deal with her property manager who did nothing but tell one lie after another. He fully admitted to lying to the owner regading the cleanliness of the property, in addition he lied to me regarding the "cleaning crew" that he had called to come over the first night- when I menitoned that I would be at the property because our dinner reservations were not until later that evening, is when he finally admitted that he had lied again and in fact he would be the one to come over. No one showed up to clean the unit the first night, even after all the decit that had taken place. We only stayed for two nights, however we only had a clean unit for one of those nights. The owner and property manager refused to provide clean accomidations for the first night, which is absolutely unacceptable. Instead of enjoying Aspen, I spent most of the weekend arguing with the owner over e-mail, explaining that I have never had this type of experience with VRBO. She also accused my guests and I of numerous other outrageous items, such as having "immature" signaures on the contract, and underage drinking- which was ABSOLUTELY not happening! I was one of the youngest guests and I am 26 years old! After returning from Aspen I sent the owner an e-mail requesting that my cleaning fee be waived due to the conditions upon our arrival. I stayed there in August, and have not heard back from her. I am also owed a refund for my security deposit, the total between the cleaning fee and security deposit is a significant- and I have received nothing. I am pretty sure this unit is involved in some sort of SCAM and I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere!!!
