Our house is a completely independent building located in a nice quiet village near Vézelay in the National Park of Morvan.
The garden, carefully tended by the owners is completely enclosed. The house was originally built in the 1850s and has been totally renovated and refurbished by the owners in the traditional style of the area a few years ago ; yet they added all modern facilities to make it a comfortable and pleasant place to spend your holidays in.
Asquins is in the vineyard of Burgundy; you will be able to taste its wine, swim in its river and of course visit Vezelay, one of the most famous Roman Basilica in France. The Park of Morvan in which the village is set is very famous for its lakes and nice landscapes.
The Northern part of Burgundy has a lot to offer for holiday makers fond of good food and wine, nice scenery, history and outdoor activities. Our gite has the label "gite de charme " of the Gites de France and Odile, the owner speaks fluent English.
Asquins is a two and a half hours' drive from Paris (220kms) and it takes an hour and fifteen minutes to go to Dijon and Southern Burgundy. |
