comfotable fully equiped for five guys on a hockryb trip. convenient to downtown &busch gardens. apoxemently 35 miles to clearwater beach. C store 1block away , lots of food and grocery stores within 2 miles T.J.was helpful with info definetly would go back

This house is very large and comfortable, easily sleeps 10 people. The location is very convenient to major roads and shopping. The large fenced property was great for our two large dogs and the dog park nearby was an added bonus. We enjoyed the two new flat screen TVs and now, thanks to T.J. we are addicted to Netflix. We also enjoyed the free long distance telephone service and wireless internet. T.J. was very helpful and most accommodating. We have some small suggestions - a few more spoons would be helpful as well as some egg cups. The one things that was unsatisfactory was the barbecue. It was old and badly rusted.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.

Accused of stealing a brand new tv...extremely disappointed in our stay.

We have rented houses and condos from this site for 20 years and have NEVER been so disappointed in the property or the treatment by an owner. The location of the house was good and what we were looking for. The pictures on this website do not accurately show how old and run down this house is. All furniture was old and dirty. The price was low and inexpensive, I guess I should have known, that you get what you pay for. We had it for 2 nights. We were going to cook out on Friday night with steaks on the grill but the grill was so rusty we had to go to the oven to cook the steaks. When the oven was opened we had no broiler pan. We looked around for it but with no luck. The cabinets were disgusting. So much for the steaks. Then we went to use the water from the refrigerator and we had a mess on the floor because the refrigerator was leaking. To cap off our stay, the owner called and accused "the boys" of taking a BRAND NEW TV. hmmm a brand new tv in a place that was so run down, makes no sense. There were two televisons in the house when we arrived on Friday evening and two televisions in the house Sunday morning when we left the property..., I, a 51 year old profesional man who was there for the weekend, personally saw only two tvs on Friday when I arrived which was after the owner left, and I was the last to leave the property on Sunday with two tvs still there. I thought it was strange there was no tv in one of the master bedrooms which had a cable hookup. When the owner called he wanted me to tell the "boys" to return the new tv or else he would have to file a report with the sheriff's office. Guess he didn't realize that I was also there. I was caught off-guard by that statement since I was there along with the "boys" who are all professional men. Why accuse the "boys" and not me? We are all professionals and could afford a brand new tv without having to steal one. This is ridiculous. I was suspicious of the owner talking with my wife when she was arranging to rent the house, when he kept questioning her about what the purpose of the stay was and if we were going to be doing anything illegal. This kind of questioning has NEVER happened in all of our previous rental encounters. My wife told him that a bunch of friends were getting together for the weekend which is why you rent a house, isn't it? Guess he didn't think that I was going to be there with the "boys". Unbelievable!

Owner response:I guess I made a serious error in judgment when: 1. I inquired if the quest had any idea what happened to the brand new 32 inch LCD just installed in the master bedroom. 2. I allowed a party of 13 to move into my home without a cash deposit. I will install another 32" LCD in the master bedroom but I think I'll screw it down. I also, will pray that I do not become hardened and can continue to be an excellent host.

the house was more than adequate for the 9 of us (if you can count a 3 month old as a whole person). the 4 bedrooms provided ample space, while the rest of the house offered enough room to spread out when necessary. the fenced yard was great, as were the swings. tj went out of his way to make us feel like we were welcomed guests. the house is in a great location if you want to get into downtown tampa (10 mintues), st. pete (35 min), or orlando (50 min).

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners.

This home was perfect for our annual Women Of Faith weekend get together. We usually stay in a hotel in order to attend the conference, but decided to rent a home this year. There was enough room for all of us ladies to spread out and enjoy eachother's company. The home is older, but beautifully maintained. The location of the property is convenient to everything. It is also very easy to find. We would definitely return.

Charming Florida Home

This house is a wonderful stay in Tampa! Affordable and homey... this place was wonderful. We especially loved the back porch and a special treat were the numerous orange trees on the site! This was a great place to stay and gave a lot more freedom than staying in a hotel. The location was also very convienent... it was near all the major roads and a quick trip would get you to several restaurants, a WalMart and anything else you might need. It was also nice dealing with a person, as opposed to an unknown computer program.

Thank you for the quick deposit return. We enjoyed the property and wished we had more time to spend there. Everything was there per our needs and the house was comfortable. One suggestion I have is regarding the toaster. It is a 2 - bread toaster and if there is a party of more people we have to wait for quite some time for the bread. So if you could have a bigger toaster, it would be useful when more people are staying. Thanks.

Great place to stay, very quite and lots of space, very clean, washer& dryer, full kitchen, all essential needed, a home away from home, at a great price, easy access to all parts of tampa. We hope to get back there again soon, thank you for everything..

This is a large, comfortable home. Our family had a wonderful stay. The extra large yard offered the kids a place to run around and enjoy the outdoors instead of being cramped up in a small hotel room. There was an incident where the A/C didn't work and TJ and the management was all over it...taking care of the problem immediately and efficiently. Thanks for a great time!!

This home is large, comfortable, well-equipped and very quiet. The yard is huge and the tangerines we picked were so sweet and delicious! Six of us in our family stayed there this February and it was never crowded. The owners, Joy & TJ, are very friendly and hospitable, willing to take good care of their guests and their needs. We would stay there again if we ever have need for lodging in the Tampa area. It's cheaper and much more spacious than a hotel room! ~Rick and Mireya
