Surrounded by spectacular scenery, enjoy your morning coffee or tea on the large deck and watch the antelope graze with their babies close in tow.

The cabin is close to Madison River fishing accesses, 20 minutes from Ennis Lake, 14 miles to Virginia City and 1 hour from Bozeman & the Gallatin Airport. Along the way, visit the Water of the Gods Hot Springs in Norris for a relaxing soak!

River rafting is a must and the mountain biking and hiking are unending. The entrance to West Yellowstone is approximately one hour drive away. Big Sky offers many outdoor activities in both winter and summer.

14 miles to the West are the historical towns of Virginia City and Nevada City. From V.C. you can take a train through Alder Gulch to N.C for Gold Panning and a tour through the historical town. There are many shops and restaurants, a candy shop, homemade ice cream shop, hotel, theater, drama. A fun day trip. Check out the Virginia City Players and the Virginia City Brewery Follies!

Besides the fly fishing and hunting, Ennis is the home of many different churches and places of worship!

Antique stores line the quaint Main Street of Ennis, as well as gift shops, art galleries, unique restaurants and fun saloons.

4th of July celebrations are a blast! The annual rodeo, parade and BBQ's by local businesses create the festive air and Chamber of Commerce commemorative T-shirts are available for your souvenirs. The whole town comes out for the celebrations!!

Labor Day weekend is the annual Fly Fishing Festival.

October is spectacular with the fall foliage in full glory along the beautiful Madison River. The air is crisp with the smell of autumn.

  • We made a surprise visit to Ennis, MT but Ennis surprised us!!! What peaceful, rolling hills right outside the front door of the cabin and horses grazing as you look to the left. We loved the cabin with its warm, rustic interior. It was especially fun meeting the owners, Liz and Bill. They turned out to be the most excellent tour guides and does that Bill know where to catch "the big ones"! What great people, what a great cabin and that quaint town of Ennis is a dream!!   • What a great time! The Ennis Rodeo was fun. The relaxing tube ride on the Madison was spectacular as well as all the trout fishing at the lake. By the way, love the hardwood floors. What a great house!
