My wife once said: "How is the condo at Velero Galeon any different from the 5-Star Hotel and Resort properties we've had the opportunity to visit over the years"?..."We've got very large square-footage rooms, marble floors throughout, two full marble-floor bathrooms, and our own fully furnished kitchen."..."Two balconies overlooking our four pools (2 adult, 2 kiddie)and the Pacific Ocean, High Speed Wi-Fi Internet, Sony Hi-Definition TV, with 70 Station English/Spanish Cable TV,Wi-FI, our own year-round Maid, "24/7" English/Spanish Switchboard, "24/7" Bellman service, etc. etc."
My response was: "I can think of some. The natural beauty, impeccable maintenance, and service here at Velero y Galeon far exceeds many of those properties we've visited The weather is always incredible, we're located on the Penthouse Floor, the Staff is incomparable with friendly, fast service...and...the Big One...the value!!...about 15 to 20% of the cost".

Over the yers, things have have just kept getting better and better!
Thanks to our sons' ownership and the hosptality they've extended us, we're enjoying the continual improvments they make to the Unit. These improvements have included: Constant Repainting, New Kitchen Appliances, new Sony Hi-Def, 70 Channel Bilingual TV, Wi-Fi Internet, Balcony Door/Window Remodeling, state- of-the- art, SILENT remote control Air Conditioning, new King-Size Bed, to name just a few.
Our favorite project thus far in 2011 is the installation of New Remote-Control Automatic Awnings on our TWO Balconies which overlook our Building's Twin Olympic-Size Pools, our Dedicated Beach (five steps down from our Pool Deck)...and...of course, Beautiful Acapulco Bay itself.
A final note on the physical aspects of our Condo. Our sons and we use the place personally many months of each year during various seasons. It is truly our family's second home, and we treat it that way, keeping it impeccably maintained with the assistance of our loved, dedicated, year-round Maid, Maura.
The advantage our family offers over rental condos owned by 'absentee' owners, or those held by a business entity as an 'investment property' is that we truly care about the guests coming into our HOME on a personal basis in the same manner which we offer the finest hospitality possible to guests we are entertaining in person.
An ownership that never is "in residence", can't possibly have the same affection for a place, or offer the personal attention to the smallest detail, which we do.
We'll close for now by relating a totally enjoyable, unexpected experience which has developed through offering our place for rental.
This experience is that the preponderance of people who are 'first timers' have become repeat guests over multiple years. A good number of people in this group who started out as simple 'inquiries' have become true friends .

Hi ! We're Nancy & Jim Huening from Palatine, Illinois, U.S.A., a Chicago suburb. We're a retired couple who are 23 year "veterans" of vacationing in Acapulco. We're absolutely thrilled and thankful that as retirees our sons' ownership of PHA3 Velero and their generous hospitality makes it possible for us to spend many, many weeks at Velero y Galeon...which is described by virtually everyone who knows Acapulco well "as the most beautiful and best maintained buiiding...in the best location of Acapulco."
The only thing that keeps us from spending more time than we do at our place in Acapulco is wanting to spend time with our great children and grandchildren, who all live in the Chicago area.

My boyfriend and I have stayed in this condo twice for 14-16 days each time.. very reasonable rates for the awesome condo it is. Velero y Galeon is a very well maintained building.. the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The condo is so beautiful with everything you need, and the pool and beach area are amazing. Beautiful sunsets you won't want to miss!! La Playita restaurant/bar is right next door with amazing food.. as well as the Malibu.. Everything you need is at your fingertips. Definitely a home away from home. and we will be back!! You won't regret booking this place for your vacation in Acapulco.

From the beginning, the description in the listing of the location of this Condo was "right on"...Starting with the Beautiful Lobby on the 'Costera'...(the main Boulevard of Acapulco)... with great access to cabs, buses, nearby restaurants, and shopping...with the Condo's Dedicated Beach on Acapulco Bay, a few steps past the Building's Twin Olympic-size Pools. The photos in this listing do a good job of reflecting the beauty of the place, great maintenance of the Public Areas and the Huenings' Condo itself, but seeing these areas in person made us realize that we've never experienced such impeccable cleanliness and attention to maintenance detail...both in the Public Areas, and in the Condo itiself. Jim and Nancy...the owners...could not have been more gracious and helpful in assuring our comfort, starting with a great guide to Restaurants and Shopping, which they provided in response to our first e-mail. Then there was the follw-up after our Booking.... re-checking to see that everything was in order, and if they could help in any way. The "24/7" Reception and Bell Staff at Velero y Galeon further assured our comfort and enjoyment, helping with restaurant reservations and recommendations on Points of Interest. Pampering continued throughout our stay, with the maid taking care of all the domestic "chores". We particularly enjoyed our Individual Hi-Speed Internet Connection within. the Condo, and the Building's High Speed Internet Connection at the Pool and in the Lobby. In the Condo, 95 Channel Digital Cable TV Channels on the Hi-Definition Sony TV, plus 50 Music Channels, provided some great entertainment . The best summary we can provide is that we would highly reccommend this Condo to our relatives and friends...or anyone else.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car.

This condo was absolutely what we were looking for. The rate is VERY reasonable and the included amenities are above what I have had in 5 star resorts. My wife and I love to eat out local so a private condo appeals to us over the all inclusive option. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the beach and beautiful scenery is dramatic. The location is in the middle of town. We walked a ton and had everything in our reach. You cannot go wrong with this condo and location.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, romantic getaway.
