Come to a place where there are NO fast food restaurants and NO chain stores ! Buy freshly caught seafood down the road in Buxton and kayak the wildlife areas all around you. Too many things to do to list.... Experience what a vacation is supposed to be !! Local grocers are also just down the road and the beach access (with bathhouses) are about 2 miles away.
ALSO, if you REALLY want to be on vacation, then visit the website for Shore Details (see below).They can have your groceries (and a bottle of wine!) waiting for you in the house! Or if cooking is ALWAYS a chore, then they can hook you up with chef services at the house or maybe prepared dinners waiting for you in the frig when you come home from a day of surfing, fishing, kayaking, sunning, diving,or site-seeing!
Our cottage is like coming home. You will sink into the King Size Select Comfort bed and never want to get up, but when you do, the sunroom is great for all-morning coffee and conversation until you get geared up to climb the lighthouse, dive the wrecks, parasail, kitesurf, or just lay around on the unspoiled beaches of Cape Hatteras and read all the seaworthy books we have on the shelves!
Shore Details will come in after you leave on Sunday and clean the house thoroughly for our next visitors! Just put the key back in the lockbox and plan on coming back the next year!
