Welcome to Le Chateau Lasserre. This unique 19th century village house has been carefully renovated to a high standard to provide everyday comfort ,yet still retains an abundance of original features which have been carefully and lovingly restored. Discovered five years ago by it's English owner, Sally Crocker, who instantly fell in love with its gracious and elegant charm.
Sally has furnished Le Chateau in a mixture of antiques mingled with finds from local brocantes, such as wonderful antique linen drapes and painted furniture. Not forgetting that we love children to come and stay there is a selection of toys and games and an impressive library satisfying all tastes in reading Le Chateau is an imposing Maison de Maitre (house of the village) situated discreetly in Lasserre de Prouille. South facing with views of the Pyrenees, Corbieres and vineyards and sunflowers amongst gently rolling hills. With a large gravelled driveway there is plenty of room for private parking for our guests. An ancient gnarled and twisted olive tree at the front makes a wonderful spot to enjoy the view or watch the night sky.
The house has a handsome facade with each room having the benefit of two large double windows. Based on three floors it is a light, spacious and airy residence. Period features such as panelling in the hallway, original tiling and open fireplaces.
Sympathetically furnished, the house is ideal for families or group holidays and those seeking stylish self catering accommodation and with 500 sqm of living space everyone has plenty of elbow room.
Although Sally and family live on site in an adjoining apartment they maintain a discreet presence. On hand if necessary they are there to ensure that your holiday is stress free and runs smoothly, your stay with them and your satisfaction is of paramount importance. They want your holiday in South West France to be a memorable and happy one. |
