The Hiawassee River offers fly-casting & other fishing at your doorstep. The region abounds with outdoor activity including mountain hiking, climbing, or biking. There is also golf, tennis, Rving, whitewater rafting or kayaking, horseback riding and boating on the huge and pristine Lake Hiawassee. Driving tours include the Southern Highroads Tour, Cherohala Skyway Tour, and Blue Ridge Parkway Tour. Or visit the mountain craft shows, antique shops, flea markets, Indian reservations, Harrah’s Casino or breathtaking TVA dams.
