Colorado Springs Family

This is an amazing rental property. We have stayed in several VRBO properties in Georgia, Florida and Colorado. The Powederhouse is BY FAR our favorite. The owners pay great attention to detail. For a family that loves to cook, they provide everything imaginable for the kitchen, not to mention a wine refrigerator so that your wine is perfectly chilled at all times! There is plenty of space with the five bedroom and five bathrooms spread out onto three levels. We all loved spending time in the hot tub on the deck. We have stayed at the Powderhouse twice and it is the ONLY place we would consider when traveling to Steamboat Springs.

great place for family reunion

We had a three generation family reunion here in July. The bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped for many big family meals. We had plenty of room for eight adults and four children. We thought the location was good, very close to the gondola square. Everyone enjoyed playing pool in the evenings and the tv and dvd player got a good workout in the family room. The only drawback for us was having to smell the trash cans in the garage. We checked in on Tuesday and the trash wasn't collected until Friday. The trash barrels have to stay in the garage until pick up day and the previous guests had filled them with who knows what the weekend before we arrived. I don't know what the solution could have been, but it was somewhat unpleasant in the garage. The smell did not enter the house though, so there was no problem at all inside. We would definitely stay here again whenever we have the need for a large place.

Regarding the trash, since your stay we have added another 96 gallon trash can (we now have 3) as well as a recycling can the same size. In addition we have installed a lysol auto mister near the cans to help when needed. We look forward to having you stay with us again.

An Incredible Steamboat Destination

Every summer, I rent the Powder House at Cimarron with two other families. This is our destination of choice in Steamboat. We'll be returning this year, and the next, and the next..... What do we love about the Powder House? There are king beds everywhere! And they are super-comfy. There is plenty of space, even with six adults and 6 children running around. There is a gourmet kitchen! We love cooking elaborate meals at the Powder House. There is WIFI for those of us that need to stay connected. The hot tub, pool, and workout facility are great as well. Melissa and John (he's the "onsite manager") are a pleasure to work with. I can't recommend the Powder House at Cimarron enough. It is an absolutely fabulous place to stay, especially if you have discerning tastes.

Perfect Vacation!

We decided to go on a last minute trip to Steamboat last year at the end of the ski season and had one of our best trips ever staying at The Powder House. The place is amazing! It is clean, comfortable, has everything anyone would need in the kitchen, and fun! It is located close to everything and has an on-demand shuttle service, so a car is not needed. It was very easy to make plans for our arrival with Melissa and the onsite property manager was there to let us in and show us everything we needed to know. I highly recommend staying here and plan to again.

Melissa, What a fabulous time we had at your place. It was more beautiful than expected and the surroundings were gorgeous. The golf was fabulous, the shopping was great and the alpine slide was a blast. It was nice to be able to come back after a day of activities and enjoy the pool and jacuzzi. It was also enjoyable to be able to cook whenever we felt like it and everything was right there at our finger tips. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories. Bev & Mike

September at Cimarron

Stayed here a few years back with my cousins for a week of golf in September at Steamboat. Great place to kick back and relax. Fully equipped kitchen...Gas grill... Hot tub....Exercise facilitiies a few steps away...Great big screen\stereo for watching games listening to tunes...Pool table...Wireless hook up...Five comfortable bedrooms with their own baths....Golf right down the road at Rollingstone or Haymaker....Weather was perfect in September...Owners have thought of everything !! Can't wait to get back there !

Family Reunion

The property was wonderful! All the adults (120 had a bed and each bedroom had a bathroom. We were all able to sit at the large dinning room table and share our meals together and the kitchen was well stocked with whatever we needed to cook with. The location is within walking distance to the ski area, shopping and groceries, so it is a great central location.

Melissa, I have both owned a luxury property in the Mts and have rented before and your townhouse was the best! The pictures do not do it justice. You gals did a beautiful job of decorating, selecting furniture, and outfitting the kitchen and baths! We loved the location. Better than any ski-in/ski-out as the shuttle service made it easy for everyone to come and go as they pleased. We like to stay in and cook and your kitchen had everything I needed. The young adults could shuttle into town for drinks and shopping with ease. Loved it! Thanks for doing such a great job!
