Searching for your own cozy, serene hideaway on the central Oregon Coast? Look no further than our four bedroom Blue Heaven vacation home. This pleasant Cape Cod style house is perfect for that family vacation you've always dreamed about, with a front row view of the Pacific Ocean and your very own stairway leading right down to the beach!
Head into the knotty wood-paneled living room and enter a comfortable, breezy beach refuge. An overstuffed, pillowy sofa is the perfect place sit with your feet up and listen to the waves from the open window. Or, maybe curl up in the chair next to the brick fireplace with a good book and cup of herbal tea. There's definitely room for everyone to discover their favorite spot to relax!
The open kitchen faces out to the living room to keep conversation lively while meals are being prepared. The space is newly remodeled with green tiles the color of sea glass, clean lines, and crisp white cabinets. There are new stainless steel appliances and you'll find all the tools necessary for meals anytime of day, whether it's banana walnut pancakes and coffee in the morning or fish tacos and margaritas at night.
A wooden dining table provides seating inside, but on nice days, you'll want to take your plates outdoors and eat on the deck for an al fresco feast. Amazing ocean views abound and there are also lounge chairs for just hanging out. The deck is absolutely perfect for early morning yoga, cooking fish on the gas grill, or just keeping an eye on the kids while they play in the sand. Best of all, out back you have your own private set of steps right down to over eight miles of pristine, uncrowded beach!
The downstairs master bedroom has a king-sized bed all dressed up in toile print bedding, with more paneling and windows to let in the natural light. Crack the window at night for a cool breeze and soothing sounds of the surf: it does not get more relaxing than this. There is also a full bathroom on this level and another bright, cheery bedroom with two twin beds.
Upstairs, there's a second full bathroom and a queen bedroom decorated in calming, blue shades. The dormer ceilings give this room a lot of character and create a unique space. The second upstairs bedroom has two spire poster twin beds with the same distinguished ceiling. If more room is needed, there is an extra single bed on the landing upstairs. Altogether, this four bedroom, two bathroom house will sleep nine guests in comfort. Additionally, there is also a washer and dryer, a two car garage, cable TV, DVD player, and high speed cable Internet.
Although the interior is quite peaceful and beautiful, once you discover the ocean right out your door, most of your time may very well be spent in the open air. A full day of beachcombing is definitely in order here! Build a sandcastle, fly a kite, or just read a book under the shade of an umbrella just down from the deck as you wiggle your toes in the sand. And when you want a snack or a new towel, you're only a few steps away from all the comforts of your oceanfront getaway.
The city of Yachats is called "the gem of the Oregon coast" and after a stay here you will understand why. Blue Heaven is in a quiet, residential area about three miles from the downtown area. There, you'll find numerous galleries, shops, restaurants, and parks. Start the day with Fair Trade lattes and breakfast sandwiches at Green Salmon Coffee House and Bakery, and then continue south two and a half more miles to Cape Perpetua. This forested headland offers stunning views of the ocean and many opportunities for scenic hikes. For history buffs, another area attraction is the supposedly haunted Heceta Head Lighthouse, about ten miles further south on Highway 101. Built between 1892 and 1893, it's named for Spanish navigator and explorer, Bruno de Heceta and is an interesting stop for a picnic lunch, followed by a tour of the historic grounds.

We had right up front seating in our large livingroom and dinning room for the view of the ocean. If that is not good enough then there is the dinning area on the deck. I snapped many a beautiful picure of the setting sun. We were very surprised about the cleaniness of the house. The furnitishings were very nice. The supplies were another surprise. From paper products, and soaps to games. I took my handicapped daughter. We could not get her down to the water but she did enjoy the front yard and the deck. We shared a front bedroom with the ocean view. The two bedrooms upstairs were a nice surprise as the house is totally decorated in a natuical theme. Another large bedroom downstairs was a delight with a beautiful bedspread. Our children enjoyed the kites and sand toys. This was a dream vacation for us and the owners readily gave our deposit back with no waiting. They keep themselves handy incase we have a question. Seven of us enjoyed this house with our two dogs. We will rent this house again and again. We had a lovely stay at Blue Heaven! The deck was our main gathering place as the view is fabulous! We saw whales, seals, pelicans, and many other shore birds. There were five of us (my sister and I and our husbands and our Mother) and there was plenty of room for everyone. The new dining room table with two long benches is wonderful for dining, chatting, creating crafts (we made wreaths out of collected driftwood!) and setting up our laptops. The furniture is so comfortable, I got teased about falling asleep every night in the chaise. We all slept soundly, and there are plenty of choices for blankets, pillows, throws, and towels. EVERYTHING was perfect. We will stay at Blue Heaven again! We had such a great time at this house! We LOVED the location~right on the beach that we never really had to share with many others. Couldn't have asked for better! The house felt bigger than it looks on paper, and we had a full house for our stay. The owners are super friendly, accomodating & great to work with! We took sleeping bags & some paper products to cut down on cleaning time & it worked out great. The trade off of doing our own cleaning for the money saved was worth it & not a huge dent in our get-away. This house is such a great deal & we hope to return again soon. It was my daughters 9th birthday so we took her to the Beach as a suprise. This house was wonderful for this type of adventure as she could take off and go play in the sand, we could sit on the front porcha and watch her. We only had to buy our food and the house had everything else. The walk down the stairs to the beach was "great"... only 20 stairs and we were there. I would and will go back to this same property for any Beach adventure we want to take. On our stay we also got the great pleasure to see Whales spraying and jumping,,, all from our front deck. My family who all live outside of Oregon came to see my son graduate from U of O and we decided to stay at the beach. Though this is the better part of 2 hours from Eugene we didn't mind the drive a couple of times. The house was as described, we enjoyed our walks on the beach and sitting out on the deck and did not want for anything, perfect weather. We were very comfortable here. We could have used one more double or queen instead of the ample twin beds, but for families with young it is probably easier. We all left thinking we'd like to come back. I was there alone to get some work done. Mission accomplished. And when I wasn't working there was unlimited beach and ocean. The house is comfortable and clean--just right. I recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.

This was our second visit to this home and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Great ocean views, quiet surroundings, and a comfortable home. We are a group of ER nurses that needed some "bonding" time away from reality. Your cabin/cottage was perfect for that. From the beautiful view of the ocean out of the front window and from the deck, to the many walks and conversations as well as moments of laughter made the experience exceptional. One of the women in our group had lost her teenage daughter a week before our stay at the cabin, so our stay was also a healing time as well as a time of reflection. Thank-you for sharing your beautiful home away from home.
