Veronica makes certain her guests have a no-hassle check-in, etc. The apartments are wonderful and in a prime location. Metro Dwellings sets a high bar for vacation rentals. I will definately make them my first choice when visiting New York. They are very professional, upfront and in no way misrepresent their properties. They are extremely ethical and take pride in offering their customers a wonderful experience.

We had the most perfect vacation thanks to Veronica and Erwin! Everything was as described, the answers we got were quick and precise. The apartment (in the same building as the one listed here) was perfect; comfortable with all the needed amenities. The location is irreplacable. I would recommend this place to everyone!

We stayed in the sister apartment to this unit for a week-long trip and it was by far the best decision we could have made. The proximity to things was perfect, the neighborhood was great, the apartment was exactly as promised in the photos, the check-in/check-out process was simple and the one question we had for the owner (a minor thing) was answered very quickly. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants to be near the city but still able to take a great morning run in the park and have a nice peaceful evening walk.

We stayed at this townhome during Thanksgiving week and it was idea. Just right for my wife and I to occasionally host up to dozen or more people for refreshiments before and after the parade and after Thanksgiving dinner at The Boat House. It's a lovely spot and the location can't be beat -- less than a half block from Central Park and a half hour walk to Broadway. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat, and Veronica's service was impeccable.

Hello, Veronica: Just wanted to let you know we really enjoyed the King Lear. It was perfect. Great location, great place, very clean and much more comfortable than we anticipated....we really have spread the word, too, so some of our friends can be in touch with you. I may return in the spring and would likely be looking at a smaller place....maybe the Essex or Windsor...where are they located? Thank you again for a great domicile while we were in NYC!

Veronica, Thanks for everything. Staying at the apartment was perfect for a NYC visit. We all had a great time and the location was perfect. I wanted to let you know that we broke the coffee maker glass carafe. We inadvertently dropped a spoon on the rim of the carafe while it was in the sink. What a wonderful vacation! We came to New York for my 50th birthday and we had the time of our life!! We spent 7 nights in the Garden apartment with our kids. The location was excellent, close to everything: Central Park, subway station, grocery store. Beautiful street, very safe. The key pick up procedure was very easy. Veronica and Erwin were very nice and gave us all the information we needed regarding the apartment. We definetly would recommend this property to our friends. It is much nicer than staying in an hotel. We felt like true New Yorkers here! The only bad thing is that it is over!! We are looking forward to the next vacation and we will definetly use Homeaway again!

Veronica, We enjoyed staying at your place this past weekend and would like to stay there again in the future. WE always come to Manhattan to celebrate my other grandson's birthday with his aunt and uncle and cousin. We come around the middle of April as Riley's birthday is the 19th of April. This property was a fantastic place to stay ...clean, quiet, easy access to everything in NYC. Very nice street--safe for walking. Reservations and obtaining keys was easy; the property was extremely clean and well kept. Great customer service from the owners. We will be returning to NYC in the spring and will certainly try to get this place again. I have recommended this property or another in the same building to everyone I know who plans to go to the City.

My daughter and I stayed here in June 2009 with my brother and sister in law and their son and we all absolutely loved the place! It was convenient, the neighborhood was very clean and safe and the apartment itself was amazing! My 15 year old daughter thought she was on the set of "Friends"! We will be coming back again!

Can't say enough about location. 1/4 block from Central Park, 1 1/2 block from subway, Taxis readily available. Super fun to be in a real (upscale) neighborhood rather than a hotel/business district. We were in 3R (the rear) and had 6 out of 7 absolutely quiet nights - we couldn't get over how quiet! It was great fun for our girls to be in a "walk up" and buzz in visitors. Apartment was nice (not luxurious), clean, and comfortable. Food (both to bring in and eat out) was a 1/2 block away. Really enjoyed the Turkish resteraunt at the end of the block. Walked to Tavern on the Green for dinner, up to the Natural History Museum, across the park to the Met. Museum of Art.

Can't recommend this lodging highly enough. Perfect way to stay in the City. Could not possibly be a better neighborhood or location. Wonderful for young children. Very comfortable, better than advertised! Everything was handled smoothly and all of our questions and requests were dealt with immediately and with grace and kindness. Thank you!

"We stayed in this bright and clean two bedroom apartment in December. The building is a beautiful century old brownstone with these clean comfortable apartments. We rented two apartments in the building for our large extended family, a one bedroom and two bedroom. It was so convenient They have these full kitchens and we were able to have our meals together so we didn't always have to spend so much money eating in restaurants, although there are tons of them around the corner, which we also enjoyed. The neighborhood is amazing, with Central Park at the corner and the subways. Veronica was very nice."

The apartment was great, location great, felt like we lived in NYC. Only complaint was late night noise of people above us, walking on squeaky wood floors. It made falling asleep after 11pm difficult on several occasions. Two members of our group would not recommend the garden apartment because of this, but friends who stayed in a hotel said they experienced that kind of noise as well. However, others in our group loved being in an apartment and would definitely return here, no matter which apartment we had. We had one child with us, she loved it, called it home. Much better to stay here with a child than a hotel.

We spent 3 nights in this building - 2 in the garden apt. and 1 in the 4th floor apt. Both were spacious and very comfortable. We liked the garden one the best since it spared you the walk up but that wouldn't keep up from staying there again. Both were very clean. Picking up the keys was easy...Thanks!

We (four adults) stayed in the King Lear apartment for ten days in September and the c.1900 Brownstone worked very well for us. The posted photographs actually make the place look smaller than it is. Air conditioners in both bedrooms plus ceiling fans kept the upstairs apartment cool. It's probably time to redo the earlier updates in the bath and kitchen, but those were minor considerations. The location is superb for the price. It is half a block from Central Park and half a block from a huge variety of restaurants on Columbus Ave. Natural History Museum just a few short blocks north. Major museums just a stroll away across Central Park. Orange and blue subway station half a block away. A very safe neighborhood. Veronica and Erwin were extremely accommodating and helpful with our requests. A great place to stay that I'd do again. I highly recommend!

We were delighted with the apartment and the amenities.Location was excellent. Didn't realize there was an air conditioner in the bedroom without the patio door until the second day. Patio was great! I think it might be better to arrange the day bed in that bedroom and put the queen bed in the patio bedroom. We would definitely come back again. Apt was clean probably could use a few more towels for those staying 5days or more. Everything we needed was close by. It accommodated 6 adults quite comfortably.

My stay at the King Lear apartment was wonderful: super clean; well-appointed; and easy interaction with the management. This is the place to stay if you're interested in location, location, location! Easy access to Central Park, Lincoln Center and one block to every cuisine imaginable (yes, even Turkish!) I would highly recommend this property to families and singles alike. We stayed with two small children, and it was perfect!

Veronica, We just wanted to thank you so much for our apartment stay at your place on the West side. The apartment was so cozy and quiet and it was a great location to get everywhere we were visiting in the city. The little cafes around the corner were perfect for our morning strolls and being so close to Central Park, Times Sq and all the city happenings was fantastic. It was our son-in-laws first visit to the city and he was mesmerized. Took over 600 pictures with his digital and made us a slide show. I think he was taken with the aura of everything. We will always look to you guys for future visits back. Thanks again for a great time.

Our family just returned from a six-night stay in New York. This unit exceeded our expectations! Clean, fresh, had all the amenities we needed. The highlight was its location! Close to two subway stations, quaint shops/stores, Central Park, etc. Taxis were also close on Columbia. The best part was feeling like we were in an upscale neighborhood living like a resident of the City! When we come back for another visit, there is no place else I would want to stay. Thanks!
