Otter Rock is a sleepy little community west of Hwy 101 between Depoe Bay and Newport. Our "Cottage on 4th" sits on a sheltered half-acre where you can retreat and relax after a day enjoying the Oregon coast.
We are a 10 minute stroll down a quiet street from one of Oregon's best surfing beaches, Beverly Beach. Otter Rock's tiny "downtown" is home to Mo's Restaurant, a winery and an espresso stand perched overlooking the Devil's Punchbowl and Pacific Ocean.
The cottage is on a dead-end street nestled amongst giant fuchsias, rhododendrons, shore pines and cedar. There is a large grassy area suitable for badminton, boules or just relaxing in the sun.
Recently updated, this is the first time we have made our cottage available to the public. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

our family recently stayed at this charming cottage! we so enjoyed the outside picnic table and yard as another gathering space. we had 7 in our family and the space, tho smaller, easily accomodated all of us. i know we will be back; so comfortable. thank you.

Exactly as described! We were a party of 8 - 4 adults, 2 teenage girls and 2 children, age 8, 12 and the cottage met our needs. We stayed 4 days. It was an easy walk to either Beverly Beach or to see the Devil's Punch Bowl with the beach/ tidepools on the other pathway! We loved it and the girls and kids really enjoyed both beaches. Thank you Liz for your quick return of my damage deposit. You have a great cottage for those who like the peace and quiet away from path of people going to the beaches. Otter Rock is a hidden gem!

Our party included 8 people for a surf camp at Otter Rock. It was perfectly situated near the beach, a short walk to the parking lot for Otter Rock/Devil's Punchbowl. The house accomodated all of us comfortably with three bedrooms (two queens, three singles, and a full futon bed). Although two bathrooms are listed, one bathroom has a tub without a shower. The other bathroom has a shower. The kitchen had all the needed cooking utensils/plates/etc. Outside there was a water hose hookup to help rinse our gear and a clothesline to hang clothes/gear/etc. Although there is no WiFi provided, access from one of the neighbors was possible if you sat outside near the picnic table at the front door entrance. Very quiet and clean! The price was great as most places charge double or triple the rate per night. Would definitely come here again in the future!

Our family had a wonderful stay in Otter Rock. The cottage was welcoming and we felt right at home. The kitchen is well supplied and the beds are very comfortable. We loved the beach and had a great time tide pooling. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner who was very helpful both with renting us cottage and providing many restaurant and activity ideas. This was my second stay and we will definitely be returning!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Cottage on 4th. The setting is private, spacious and clean. The house has everything ready to use, including an outdoor barbeque area. It is an easy walk to the beach, one the best beaches on the Oregon coast. Nearby Lincoln City, Newport and Depoe Bay have great browsing opportunities. One of the best values we have found. We will definitely come back each year.

This rental is a great find! Cozy, clean, with plenty of comfortable beds, and a short walk from the best beach nook in Otter Rock. I will definitely be back!
