Great for retreats of 20+ if in sleeping bags and for stay during Merrie Monarch. There is a separate studio on site with a bathroom if more space is needed that sleeps four in beds. Furnished in island style with bamboo flooring and furniture, it is beautifully appointed with ceramic tile, custom cabinetry and countertops.
This 5300 square foot home and lanai make it very spacious and relaxing. Hawaiian quilts and hawaiian carpets add a lovely ambiance to each room. Enjoy the tropical breeze on the front of the wrap around lanai or the rich tropical forest in the back. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor living space for entertaining family and friends, a romantic stroll, or children to play.
There are many extras like Jacuzzi tub, snorkel gear, BBQ, CD player, TV, DVD, with movies to choose from. High speed internet is available. Piano, ping pong table, air hockey, board games, puzzles and toys are available for hours of comfortable, relaxing and fun entertainment. Watch the whales or cruise ships from the lanai during the day or gaze at heaven’s evening showcase. Our Hawaiian sky is unparallel in tranquility and beauty.
Walk down to Hakalau Bay, a unique rocky, black sand beach only the locals know about and surf, boogie board, tan or look for treasures. Visit quaint Honomu village where you can browse the shops, have lunch at a café, visit a gallery, or take a short hike to the breathtaking 442-foot high Akaka Falls, all only two minutes away. Have a picnic at tucked away Kole Kole Beach Park, another local favorite which boasts of its mountain river meeting the ocean tide. Savor the memories with a few pictures of the waterfall or for the adventurous, go rock climbing up into the mouth of the falls. Located within moments are Umauma Falls, Botanical Gardens, Onomea Bay, 4 mile Scenic Route, and Honolii, one of the Big Island’s best surf spots.
Downtown Hilo, only 15 minutes away offers a unique blend of activities. Visit the Farmers Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Lyman and Tsunami Museum are historic favorites. Top picks for tourists also include the new Imiloa Astronomy Center, Big Island Candies, Hilo Hatties and Rainbow Falls. There are many little shops and galleries with art, hand crafts treasures and Hawaiian keepsakes along the bay. Wal Mart, Prince Kuhio Mall, Safeway, Borders, Macys and Ross are all located within a block from each other. Swim, kayak or wind surf in Hilo Bay.
Just over an hour away, visit the “must see” Volcano National Park where you can hike to the most recent lava flow and take pictures of burning hot lava. Visit Waipio Valley on horseback or Waimea town, home of the famous Parker Ranch less than 45 minutes away. Take a day trip to our snow capped Mauna Kea mountain to see the stars through some of the best telescopes on earth. Mauna Kea is world renown for its Observatory and Visitor Center also less than one hour away.

House is beautiful and has a Hawaiian flair in every room making the atmosphere wonderful. It is very peaceful and quiet. All of our needs were met and we would definetly stay there again.
