My husband and I had our wedding at Pura Vida. It was a great place to have our wedding. The grounds are beautiful. We had about 15-20 people staying with us at various times. The house is very spacious. We had about 60 guests for our wedding, we had plenty of room for everyone. Everyone that stayed at the house with us was very impressed with everything. We had an AMAZING time and recommend staying at Pura Vida. Jerry the property manager was AWESOME as well. He helped us get ready for the wedding and was available when we needed him. His hospitality was much appreciated!! We highly highly recommend staying here if you are interested in the home.

I recently coordinated a business retreat with a group of executives. I found Pura Vida on VRBO. It was an excellent venue for us. Plenty of bedrooms, ample meeting space, both inside and out. It was a short walk into town and steps from the beach. The onsight property manager was very helpful also. Overall a great experience.

We rented Pura Vida during February Vacation week 2011 as a home base for my Wedding at Rincon of the Seas. We had 12 adults stay at the Villa with Us and I couldn't be more Happy with the Villa, its location, the cleanliness, and the owners/ care takers. Even though I had seen the Villa before and toured the house a few months before, I was shocked at how Supremely Gigantic it was to what I had remembered with many different porches, balconies, and a roof top area with incredible Sunset/ Surf views. Even with 12 Adults staying at the Villa and a few dozen or more staying close by; we had more than enough space to be altogether as a Group or hanging out in smaller groups in the many different nooks and crannies the Villa has to offer. The Service was A+ Amazing. Jerry the current care taker went WAY above and beyond in every regard and was available at a moment’s notice when/ if needed. We were amazed at the sound separation and quietness of the inside of the Villa – you could not hear anything from floor to floor! The Villa stays very cool all day and catches Great Breezes with Amazing Views to match and of course icy A/C if needed. The Decks are Extremely Spacious and the Kitchen and main room on the 1st floor were Absolutely Huge! The Kitchen comes fully equipped with good quality kitchen equipment, 2 Large refrigerators, plenty of tables, seats, counter space, a great comfy couch, Large Flat screen TV, Great Gas Grill, and to top it off a Restaurant Grade (Bunn) Coffee machine (outstanding!). We had Jerry fill up the house with Food and Beverages prior to our Ungodly AM arrival and Our guests where simply Blown Away by the Size, Location, and Service! What an impression Pura Vida made on my Family and the new In-laws not to mention friends from around the Globe (literally - China, France, Japan, and Colombia). The Villa also comes with industrial Washing/ Drying machines and many many other amenities like snorkeling equipment (with the best snorkeling in Rincon just a few 100 yards away!), beach chairs, sun bathing chairs, tons of good quality beach towels/ sheets - I was Extremely Impressed with all the amenities, the attention to detail, the "spare no expense" attitude with appliances and all other amenities. We had an AMAZING, AMAZING stay at the Villa and we are planning a 2012 Trip to Rincon and hopefully will be able to get this SUPER-Villa with everything you need, want, and MORE!

Sometimes when you book on line it does not live up to its pictures, this is so NOT true with Pura Vida! The home was everything we hoped it would be! Large, spacious and the property surronding it was well maintained and georgeous! There were 14 of us and at no time did we feel crowded. We all had a blast in the house as well as outside in the pool area. The kitchen was well supplied with any cooking utensils/pots/pans/electronic items, you would need and we took advantage of the great gas grill on the porch. There was ample bedding and towels provided so at no time did we run out. We would highly recommend this home to any large groups. In addition, Jerry the house manager was friendly, outgoing and provided us with great tips on where to go. At any time that we needed assistance, he came over within a half hour and helped make our vacation a memerable experience!

We found the house to be exactly as it was described on the web. The house caretaker was always available anytime a question came up. The grocery stores were only 10 minutes away and you could walk to the dive shop and a very nice beach in 10 minutes. We had a group of 14 people and found the house to be very comfortable. We had 10 people take surfing lessons from Bill at the Calypso beach and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

As a huge group coming to embark on a spring break of 30, my friends had the time of their lives and never will live this trip or the house down. This place was awesome from the get-go. Between the location and the amenities in the home itself you will realize that you mad the right choice as soon as you get there. The location itself is a few blocks away from a lesser-known beach that has some rougher surf and sand as well as "The Spot" an awesome bar/grill that is owned by a cool team of Americans. This beachfront area has a few restaurants and bars that are cheap, but beware of Shipwreck, which turned out to be a gringo tourist trap. The Spot turns into a raging club at night if you bring enough people, and as the locals begin to realize you are there more will come out to party and make the area seem lively. In terms of the location, you are in a great spot both set away from the "touristy" parts but also close enough to town that you can make a quick trip for food/alcohol if needed. The house is right on PR-415, the "road to happiness" which takes you a mile to the majorly popular beaches of the area (steps, dogmans, reactor). Most days we would travel on 415 to a beach located next to the wildly popular "Tamboo" restaurant, a bar that pops off during the day and is a great place for spring breakers to mingle. At night we would start off in the awesome backyard of Pura Vida with its pool and rock sculpture and plenty of room for lounging/hanging out. The house was in immaculate condition when we arrived, and esp. Especially good for big groups were the bunk bed room with its full sized bunk beds and seperate bathroom. All of the other single bedrooms were very comfortably furnished and were taken up by couples and people who wanted privacy. The house itself is new and all of the amenities were in working order. We could not believe the entertainment set that was left for us as well as the amount of refrigerators and stoves that happened to feed us for the week. Overall this house was perfect for a large group and we definitely made the best of the week. It would be hard to find anyone who could be given this property for a week and NOT have a great time. The only problem is the next door neighbor; she is NOT happy that a house in her neighborhood is used as a rental and was extremely combative the entire week. If you keep the volume down though (we didn't make any effort to at all) everything would probably be fine though. This place was a blast!

We stayed at Pura Vida for 10 days in May '10 for our wedding! We rented the entire house (including the 2 bdrm apartment on the 1st floor) for 15 guests who were in awe from the moment they pulled into the driveway! This house was everything we had hoped for and more! Beautiful sunset views and just a 2 minute stroll to Tres Palmas beach! The house was spacious and comfortable with all the amenities of a luxury hotel - except this house made us feel as if we were right at home instead of confined to a stuffy, overpriced resort. Needless to say, we didn't want to leave and definitely plan on coming back! You can't go wrong with this vacation rental. It is truly one of a kind!

We had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful Villa for my 35th birthday. I had a total of 12 guest & the house was more than enough room for all of us. It is very spacey and the admenities are modern & up to date. The house is in walking distance to the beach & the locals are awesome. We went parasailing & partied on the beach every night. This was a wonderful rent & I will definitely go back.
