Our 3 days at the cabin were incredibly relaxing. As others mentioned it was nice to not have a television. It was nice to be able to stay at the cabin and enjoy the amenities, especially the pool table. There weren't any items that were missed, the cabin was well appointed and well taken care of. Was nice that mother nature cooperated with some warm temperatures and we were able to enjoy the screen porch. We will definitely be back. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.

We had an amazing and relaxing long weekend ringing in the new year at this beautiful home. Every detail of this getaway is top notch, the owners have clearly put their heart into making this a great place to vacation. The stereo is beyond excellent, the sauna amazing, bathrooms and bedrooms well appointed and the setting is tranquil. We had a great time and will most definitely make our way back!

My wife and I stayed at the cabin for three days. It was extremely clean, well appointed and very relaxing. It is absolutely as nice as it looks in the photos. The lack of television was actually a great thing as it allowed us to simply enjoy the cabin and the idyllic surroundings. Owner was very helpful and was very quick in returning emails before and after our stay. Owner also was very quick to return the security deposit. We are already contemplating a second, longer stay.

We truly enjoyed our stay here in Spooner! The owners were great at answering questions before and even when we called the first night. Even with the temps looking at near freezing at night we were quite impressed with the heating setup! We never were cold! Also, on the day we kayaked the St. Croix National Waterway we truly loved it but forgot to apply additional sunscreen and wouldn't you know it the cabin also had some aloe vera!! Yay becuase the local grocery store didn't have any we could find. The cabin was very clean as well as had plenty of cleanup tools for our departure. We enjoyed a canoe ride on bass lake and saw many birds. There were also plenty of bike trails and local geocache sites. We saw a family of 4 deer while eating at the kitchen table...I think they wanted our sweet corn! We also got to see the "snow" deer! What a treat. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to truly get away!! Thank you for making your cabin available! Hopefully we can find time to stay here again!

We loved this house! They have thought of everything we'd need, plus extra's. We went with our 4 kids, and G'pa and G'ma, still didn't feel crowded. The property is as listed, very clean and well maintained, and the owner would answer any questions we had by e mail very quickly! Would recommend it, actually,we already have! :) We did alot of fishing, lots of bites, but alot of smaller fish. Rented a pontoon, on Big Mackenzie, from Tall Timbers Resort, had a great time, and a very nice pontoon. Went on the pizza train, we were a little disappointed, in the train ride, have been on several others in other states that had better views, for the price. Went minature golfing and go-kart racing. Overall we just had a great time, with family relaxing, playing alot of games, reading, and just sitting on the porch or in the screened porch. We will for sure try and rent this place again!

This cabin is just delightful. Very clean, beautifully furnished and quite comfortable. We absolutely loved the screened porch, there was rarely a time that someone wasn't out there reading. The Bose system was wonderful (Grandpa loaded up some CDs shortly after we arrived) as was the pool table - which was a welcome addition on a cool, rainy day. We would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone heading to NW Wisconsin. It's close enough to Spooner to run in for groceries, but very quiet and secluded on a private lake. Caught lots of fish - all thrown back - but the fish were definitely biting. Thanks for a wonderful family vacation.

We wanted to find a place near my family when we visit from Ohio, what a find! We couldn't be happier with the cleanliness and quality of the cabin and its amenities. Although they are well done, pictures do not do this property justice. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the cabin and enjoyed the beauty of the lake with its wildlife as well. We saw albino deer on several occasions (which I had never seen even after growing up within 10 miles of the property) also bald eagles, otters and especially enjoyed the calls of the loons at dusk. Our children have asked if we can return each year, and we plan on it.

My family and I stayed in this home the week prior to Labor Day weekend. Everything was absolutely wonderful from the comfortable, super-clean and classy interior to the quiet lake. We have three children - ages 8, 4 and 14 months. My older ones loved the sleeping loft and spent most of their indoor play time up there. My husband and I loved the screen porch. Even on cold nights we sat out covered in blankets. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. We loved not having a TV (!) but did break down one night and used the DVD player for the kids. The house has a small but nice selection of DVDs too. We saw deer every day (including the two albino deer - very cool!) as well as a flying squirrel, bats and eagles. With the five of us I loved the extra space as well. It rained one day and when we got bored upstairs, we moved downstairs to the pool table and games. I could go on and on about how much we loved this place! Every detail has been considered, such as a huge pile of wood both upstairs for the stove and downstairs for the fire ring. It feels more like going to a friend's home instead of a "rental". One note - the lake is quite small and there is not a sandy swimming "beach". Marty was up front with me on the phone about this, which I appreciated. Funny thing, my girls didn't seem to mind. They still swam near the dock (even though the bottom is mushy) and we also canoed out to the platform to swim. There is also a very nice public beach in nearby Shell Lake. We also liked the Spooner area. Plenty to do and nice and close to the Twin Cities. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful vacation! The cabin is first rate. Very clean and comfortable. Felt at home right away. We spent a lot of time in the screened in porch. Also got good use out of the pool table and firepit. It was a very relaxing week. Lake is beautiful and quiet. Great lake to canoe around. Very private setting. Loved hearing the wildlife. Would not hesitate to make a return trip!

We spent a wonderful week in July. The house is everything the listing stated. We enjoyed all the wild life, loons, fawns playing in the front yard, an albino deer we spotted daily and a few bear sightings while in the car. Multiple fishing lakes near by or fishing off the dock. The canoe was used multiple times, the lake is very private and beautiful. The surround sound speakers were a big hit listening to the Twins ball game outside on the deck.

We used the cabin for Girl’s Weekend – four of us have been doing a fall getaway for over 15 years. This “cabin” rates at the top of our list! We loved having a private sleeping space for each of us. Cozy and spacious – a special place for every activity! The screen porch has comfy furniture to curl up with a book or enjoy a glass of wine with your group. We didn’t use the lake for this outing, but the boat and canoe would be perfect for a longer family getaway. This is the 6th VRBO listed property that our family has rented. We have never been disappointed!

We had a wonderful week at this luxury lake home. Three generations of family found comfortable space and lots to do there. The home is fabulous, from the screen porch to the pool table and fire ring. The lake is very small, and lake sports are limited to swimming and canoeing, but the house is worth it.

We spent a week at the end of May, and the house was everything we had hoped it would be. So peaceful and private. We had friends and family over to visit, so it was great to have a beautiful place for entertaining. Loved the furnishings, especially the dining table! We grilled a beef tenderloin on the huge gas grill and sat 8 people at the table, no problem. Add the cake & ice cream to celebrate Mike's birthday, and it was a perfect family gathering. The weather was cool for us, but coming from Florida, it was a nice break. And I can't remember the last time I slept so well. The bed and bedding was so comfortable, and just right for the northwoods. Having a vrbo rental myself, I really appreciated the cleanliness of the house and the professionalism of the owner to deal with. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone.

Four of us enjoyed a great weekend in March! The place is very, very nice and was very clean. It had all amenities one would need for a weekend along with a great stereo system! We are actually planning another weekend this fall. I'd highly recommend this cabin - especially if there are two couples going. With the bedroom/bathroom setup on two floors, there was plenty of privacy.

First, the house is lovely, extremely well kept and comfortable. But the screen porch is fabulous! Hummingbirds zipped around us and all kinds of birds live in the trees surrounding the porch and you hear the loons from the lake. The kids loved the short canoe ride to the swimming platform and the water was clear. The zip line and pool table were also big hits. Other favorite features: more stars than I remembered seeing ever, the coyote chorus at night, and the surrounding roads are great for biking!

This house is perfect. It is on a quiet lake, and every inch of the house is gorgeous and inviting. We lived on the screened in porch. We appreciated the technology, loved the lack of TV, and had music going 24/7. The nights were quiet and peaceful with an occasional loon. This house is a dream house, and we didn't stop finding the many touches, cute cheese dishes for our wine and cheese party, wonderful candles, amazing jacuzzi. Nothing better than sitting in the screened-in porch by candlelight at night, enjoying the stillness (and a glass of wine). Thank you!

This cabin has it all ~ the first impression on driving in is "Wow! It's rustic, private, a private entrance to the lake, and beautiful grounds. On entering, the interior is beautiful, warm and has the comforts of home, yet you know you're away! No TV, and music all around. A screen porch, AND a deck! Comfortably furnished with an artistic eye! Thank you! I'll be back! Donna Bennett
