Enjoy staggering views of the Russian River Valley, including famed wineries, apple orchards and spectacular mountain ranges of Sonoma County. This panoramic vista stretches for 60 miles, all the way to Mt. St. Helena, encompassing wineries, wide open skies, birdlife, and the occasional hot-air balloon.

Enjoy a glass of fine wine overlooking the vineyards from whence it came, from your private perch on our 1200 sq. ft. mahogany deck. Deck includes outdoor living room, dining area, master bedroom lounge area, and stainless steel grill.

Or meander down to our 60 ft long, dark- bottomed saltwater lap pool, constantly heated to 83 degrees in season, and float on top of the world, surrounded by nature, in complete privacy, listening to your choice of music from our outdoor stereo system. Pool deck includes comfy designer chaise lounges, and another outdoor living room.

Outdoor seating areas are situated so that you can enjoy sun or shade at any time of day. You will feel like you are in your own private spa.

Then come inside to a beautifully designed 2000 square ft. home featuring 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The detached casita with queen bed sleeps two in privacy just steps from the house.

This property is very quiet and private, surrounded by 10 acres of apple orchards. It's conveniently located less than 5 minutes from the Russian River, 10 minutes from the lovely restaurants of Graton, 15 minutes from the Westside Road wineries, and 20 minutes from Healdsburg. It is 1 1/2 hours from San Francisco.

Breathtaking view of the Wine Country!

VRBO Bear stayed here - 07/14/2008 This retreat is located at the end of a country road and is so secluded you won’t even know that there are other homes nearby. The property is surrounded by orchards and vineyards, and large northern California redwoods.

When I first walked into this three bedroom two bath home, I felt transported to a distant land. This home is exotically decorated in very rich and warm colors, giving it an Asian feel. I was pleasantly surprised to find that around every corner held some sort of treasure from the Far East. There were textiles, garments, statues, and artwork adorning the walls.

After viewing the collection of Asian treasures in the home, I decided it was time to cool my paws and headed outside to the pool area. The home has a comfortable sitting and entertaining area with a wrap around deck overlooking a gorgeous pool and view. I meandered down the stairs to a beautiful saline lap pool with a breathtaking view. After retracting the automatic pool cover I swam while enjoying the great outdoor sound system.

This home has everything one could need in a vacation home, from the fully stocked kitchen, the comfortable living and dining spaces, to the fabulous outdoor entertainment and pool area. So if you are planning a trip to the Russian River area or the northern California Wine Country, this is a great home to begin your excursion!

  • I can't imagine a more perfect place for a relaxing getaway than this house. I was here with a group of friends for my birthday over Memorial Day weekend and we all agreed it was one of the most beautiful, private, and wonderfully relaxing places we'd ever been. Even though there are wineries, river trips and plenty of other activities nearby, we did not leave the house once for anything. By the third day, I practically had to be peeled off the pool deck. The house itself is beautiful, spacious and thoughtfully/beautifully decorated. You can tell the owners take pride in the place and enjoy time there themselves. The furniture, art, even the wallpaper, worked together in perfect harmony, balancing and uniting the inside and outside space. When we weren't outside grilling, dancing to the outdoor sound system, exploring the giant backyard and orchard, swimming, laying poolside, or contemplating the magical flickering light reflecting from the pool onto the tree, our group enjoyed cooking in the huge kitchen, sharing dinners and guitar sing-alongs around the large round dining table. Nestled against the hills that form the Russian River Valley, Forestville is one of the warmest spots in this part of California, making our time here nothing less than pure decadence. I will be back for sure.

  • The road leading to the house does not do justice to what opens up before you on arrival. The house, with its wrap-around porch and comfy sofas is fantastic, the views spectacular and the ambiance just perfect. The outside eating and grill area offers up super al fresco dining, and the consistently warm pool makes it difficult to want to do anything but alternate between pool and sun lounger. The vineyards are on your doorstep, with some very cheeky local recommendations. Can't recommend this stay highly enough. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

  • What a fantastic place for what was an amazing vacation! The owner was so friendly and helpful, the house was truly a joy to lounge around and cook in, and the stunning outdoor space - from huge deck to pool to breathtaking view (pictures don't do it justice)- made the whole experience one of our favorites to date. Had a second group vacation with great friends there, and we all agreed that it rivaled our last vacation home in St. Croix. Felt homey and comfortable, yet luxurious at the same time. We liked it so much, we only ventured out to visit 1 winery and spent most of our time at the house!
