My family and I stayed at this Awesome house for 6 days. It was our first time in Alaska. Jim and Teresa came to introduce themselves. It was a delight to meet them. They made us feel so welcome. They also gave us tips on places to fish and sightsee. They had a huge book of coupons for their guests to use also. This saved us lots of money. This house has everything you need and lots more. We did not want to leave the house. It is beautiful!!! Also has some Amazing views. I am saving this house to my favorites. I highly recommend renting from Jim and Teresa.

We stayed at the villa for 3 nights/4 days. You can drive anywhere and be back in the evening. Make this your hub to see the interior of AK and you won't be disappointed. The house has everything you may need for a stay at the lake, etc.

I can't say enough about our stay here. The villa was clean, comfortable and decorated with tasteful, quality furnishings. It is like being in a nice home. The property is well-maintained. It exceeded our expectations. The view of the lake was beautiful while sitting out on the deck. There was nothing needed that wasn't provided. Our days were cool and rainy but we made good use of the fire pit, bbq, paddle boat, canoe and kayaks. Our family had a great time together. Being Alaskans, weather doesn't hinder us! Theresa is so kind and hospitable. She sincerely desired to make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this property for your Alaska retreat on Nancy Lake.

Wow! What a wonderful home! We truly enjoyed our week-long adventure. Jim was very helpful in directing us as to what to do, and where to go. We appreciate all his help. The home itself was absolutely gorgeous. The view, the decorations, the amenities...everything was fabulous. We were just a bit disappointed that the jetted hot tub was out of order, as we planned on using that every night, but the wonderful three-head shower in the upstairs bathroom almost made up for that! The fishing was terrible. Those pike have really cleaned out the lake, which is supposed to have trout, and salmon according to a tourist book we picked up in Anchorage. That's okay though. I'd forgotton what the sound of "nothing" was like! Sitting in the middle of the lake, in a canoe for an hour reminded me. Wow. Not even the sound of birds, or wind! It was wonderful. We really appreciated all the extras that came with the house. Plenty of towels and washcloths, toilet paper, paper towels, garbage bags, spices, soaps, shampoos, laundry detergent and dishwashing detergent...everything you usually have to buy when you go on vacations like this. It was a really nice change. We used the grill every night to cook our food, which we were able to shop for in Wasilla (only about a half hour away) for reasonable rates. I wish the weather had been just a little bit better, as it did rain a little bit every day. That's okay too...we hadn't seen rain in Texas since May! Overall, one of the best trips we've ever taken. Thanks for helping to make it all so wonderful.

Jim and Theresa went above and beyond with this cabin! It had everything we needed plus more. Just little things like coffee and sugar were greatly appreciated. We loved the house, inside and out. My son had a great time with the canoe and boat. Didn't see any fish in the lake, but this cabin is located near so many great fishing spots including Willow Creek. We caught several HUGE King Salmon and brought them back with us on the plane. We bought a special cooler and checked it with our other luggage. We can't wait to put it on the grill. Will definitly be going back to your beautiful Alaska!

Thank you for opening this beautiful place to us. The weather has been amazing, the lake was beautiful and it has just been the most relaxing and serene place to be. We took advantage of the canoe and paddle boat, didn’t catch any fish, but also didn’t really care because I was just happy to be on a quiet lake taking in the scenery and enjoying “getting away” from “real life”!! We are sad to leave, but I’m sure we’ll be back! Austin and Katie Olah Australia

August 17, 2010 The Nancy Lake and cabin was wonderful. It served as home for our week long stay exploring the Anchorage area. Some highlights of our trip: Mt Alyeska: we hiked the North face and enjoyed the tram ride down. Nova in Chickaloon: Fantastic outfitters who we hiked the glacier with and took a rafting trip. Thunderbird Falls: just outside of Anchorage -- offers a nice one mile hike and waterfall Fishing in Whittier: although lots of rain, we managed some great catches Our trip is headed on for another week in Kenai area. We can only hope the next house is as great as this one. Aaron, Kristin, Penny, Philip, and Austin Milwaukee, WI P.S. This place is wonderfully stocked with everything except an iron ?. Most people probably don’t need one but we were here for a wedding. Enjoy your stay – we hope to be back soon.

This was the last place we stayed on our Alaskan adventure. The place was beautiful and very comfortable. We are a family of five and had plenty of room. The view of the lake was wonderful. Our three kids took the canoe out and had a ball, even in the rain. Kitchen was well stocked, lots of spices and such available for cooking. The place was nicely decorated. Loved the salmon measuring spoons and looked everywhere for a set of my own. (couldn't find any) The only drawback was the futon upstairs. My daughter slept there, and although it was very comfortable, there were no blinds on the windows or door and in July you know there is very little darkness, so she had a little trouble sleeping.Other than that this was a wonderful end to our family vacation of a lifetime. Jim was very helpful in finding us a place to freeze and store our fish that we had caught and brought with us from Seward. We got it home safe and frozen! Thanks for some wonderful memories!

My wife and I along with a couple friends stayed a cold winter weekend at this great get away villa. It was a beautiful weekend and when ever we spent a little time outside we had a beautiful warm cabin to return to. The care taker was GREAT. She helped to make sure we got in ok, and that everything was going well. It is a beautiful property and a wonderful place to stay. I hope I have a chance to visit this place again in the future.

This was the perfect place to bring our family visiting from out of town. The house is perfect for a larger family and very comfortable. The weather was nice and the kids loved the snow/sledding hill. The great atmosphere and wonderful scenery made it so easy to relax. We look forward to coming back when we can get more family to come and visit.

Our 8th annual “girlie trip” was spent at Nancy Lake Villa. We enjoyed unusually warm sunny fall weather, played cards on the deck, roasted weenies and marshmellos in the fire pit, and had a wonderful time exploring Nancy Lake in the paddle boat. Four ladies, playing cards, drinking wine, eating Kahulua brownies, and laughing until our sides ached! If we could can the laughter and good times we had here, we could heal the world. Thanks so much for the great place to get away from it all! Bonnie, LeaAnn, Linda, and SallieAnchorage, Alaska

We arrived on Aug. 27th. The minute we entered, we felt at home in you most comfortable lake home. And whenever we left on long drives, we couldn’t wait to get back to your comfy home. For the most part, we have had “god sent” weather – sunny days and very mild temperatures and hardly no rain. The lake is wonderful and, as you said, it is definitely on the “sunny side” of the lake!We didn’t see any moose here at the lake, but we could hear them at night off in the distance along with a howling wolf!Thank you for your hospitality and a great house! Left a rainy Anchorage for 3 ½ glorious days here at the lake. Sunshine every day but one. Spent a morning catching salmon at Sheep Creek. Noah (age 5) hooked, ruled and landed at least a dozen humpies by HIMSELF! Granted, most were spawned out but he was still a champ. Lunch at the Talkeetna Roadhouse. The next days were lazy, just hanging out at the villa. Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy this setting. It really felt like home. The opportunity to go walking in the woods and snatching sticklebacks in the lake made the days exciting for Noah. The selection of movies upstairs was quite a joy for him as well. Thanks again!John LoveAnchorage, Alaska and Pueblo, Colorado

The Nancy Lake Villa is perfect! None of us want to leave. We will go back to 100 degree days in Texas. The weather was rainy and cool but that didn’t stop us from visiting Talkeetna three times. Twice with salmon fishing trips with Tri-River Charters. In two days they caught 35 lbs. of salmon. We also drove to Denali and recommend the Salmon Bake hightly. The Kenai Peninsula is spectacular. We went to Whittier, Portage, Seward (fished for halibut) and visited the Alaska Sealife Center. Loved the puffins. Stayed in Seward and Kenai then went down to Homer. It’s really a long drive so we stayed down there two nights, but couldn’t wait to get back to the Nancy Lake Villa. The view from the balcony and the grill were great. We cooked hamburgers twice and steaks once. The kitchen is wonderful. One recommendation is a better wine opener, but we did manage. Thanks for a wonderful two week vacation at your villa. We all want to come back next year. Norma Reed, James, Lori, and Heclsea TuckerMontgomery, Texas (60 miles North of Harrison.)

The Nancy Lake Villa make our Alaska vacation picture perfect. Ya’ll ("you all" in our native Tennessee language) have thought of everything!During our stay, our travels took us to Palmer, Sutton, Glennallen, Valdez, Trapper Creek, across the Hatcher Pass, Trapper Creek, Talkeetna, Cantwell, Denali and Denali National Park. The day we visited Denali it was an extremely clear day, which allowed us to see Mt. McKinley, a true breath-taking sight to behold. We have seen two glaciers, Matanuska and Worthington glaciers. After we leave the villa we have one more day in Anchorge, our plans arew to go down the Turnagain Arm to Portage and on into Whittier should time permit. Words cannot justify how very much we enjoyed our stay at the Nancy Lake Villa in Willow, Alaska. It was our pleasure to meet you – again thank you so very much for such a lovely place to call our home away from home for our week in Willow, Alaska.Tim & Sheila WaymanAhland City, TennesseeWhen God created Alaska he didn’t LEAVE OUT ANYTHING, ALL THE BEAUTY YOU WOULD EVER WANT TO SEE IS HERE. Enjoyed the paddleboat and the canoe. Tried for the elusive pike but to no avail. Scored on the Little Su. We caught 55 lbs. of King Salmon on the first try. Then 36 more on the second. Loved the picture perfect view from the living room and deck. House is well-appointed and comfortable. Went to Denali and rafted the river. Walked on the Matanuska Glacier. We saw moose, bald eagles, beaver, and endless forests and rivers. The mosquitoes are endless…took some getting used to. Nonetheless, all are safe and the villa allowed a warm and cozy escapew from Mother Nature’s Winter Fury! We "six buddies" from Virginia have spent the most wonderful time at Nancy Lake! The highlight was definitely meeting our friends, Tuff, Sherri, and "the boys." Great cookouts, hikes (Hatchers Pass was great!) and boat rides. We will always have fond memories of this area thanks to our gracious hosts! You are the best! Keep in touch over the winter and come visit us in Virginia! Fondly, Treesha and Don Baird (Blacksburg, VA) Cameila & Bill King (Dublin, VA) The villa was an awesome base for us the "inseparable sextet "from Clayton Lake, VA (try finding us on the map) BUT, the best gift of all were Tuff, Sherri, and "the Boys." They showed us around this gorgeous area. We fell in love with them immediately. Our last day, raining but Bill & Steven are giving it one more try for fish. They've had a good time though. Everything's been great, villa has everything we needed, thanks! We enjoyed meeting you and your family, made us very welcome. Steven had a good time with John. Loved the tubing and the dogs - glad he had someone to hang out with. I know he will wear the hat pride. We enjoyed talking to Jim about the Boy Scouts. Tuff and Sheri were great, took Bill under his wing and showed him the spots to fish. We thank them for their hospitality (great cookouts!) And Jim, the fish was great and the wind super. We learned a great deal about Alaska and Bill fulfilled his dream of coming here. Even though didn't get any fish but will still have some fish stories! Thanks again. -- Bill and Charlotte Blizzard (and grandson, Steven)

Well, well! It's the end of a FULL week! We started on the Kenai for the first half. Halibut with Rod was great. All seven got their two each plus we released another 20+. Caught a few reds on the Russian. Went to Homer - left a store hat at the Salty Dawg. Did a 5-hour tour out of Whittier to the glacier fields! That was cool! Then we moved to Nancy Lake. The crew fished with friends on Sheep Creek -- caught 3 the first night and 4 the next. Meri and I went to Talkeetna one evening then took the crew back out today -- had a few beers and a picnic. Love the house - a little small for 8 of us - but all in all a great trip! Thank you for the best friends I could possibly ask for! -- Nancy & Randy

We sure enjoyed our stay here. This is like a home away from home. The weather has been great -- 60's just right for us. We're in Alaska for our granddaughter's wedding Sat 28 June in Anchorage: "Erika & Ivan." Our daughter and her husband Teri and Tom found this Nancy Lake villa for us -- great choice. We may take a canoe ride this afternoon. My two sisters and their husbands will be here Thurs and Fri. Would like to com back again. Great place - thanks again! -- Joe and Jean From Seattle

We came to Alaska to find more wild orchids -- and lucked out! The cabin made a lovely base for our long drives and hikes each day. Excellent kitchen for cooking the King Salmon, King Crab, and Halibut -- delicious! So, we had a great time! -- Julian and Helga

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your lake home. The home is beautiful, the setting so peaceful and relaxing. We loved the boats, especially the kids. We visited the "Dream a Dream" dog kennels and that was such a great experience. Hiking around Nancy Lake Park was challenging for some of us but still so much fun. Thanks again! -- The Goynes (Eagle River, Alaska) and Hand (Weimer, Texas) Families

We had a wonderful time staying at your beautiful cabin. The setting is very peaceful. We enjoyed taking the boat into the lake...unfortunately Mark came up short on the trout fishing, but we were successful in seeing a soaring bald eagle, several arctic terns diving for small fish, a red neck grebe, and other birds we don't have in Arizona. Our daughter, Anna, loved going up and down (& up a & down...) your stair case! The location is great for fishing at Deshka Landing where Mark landed a nearly 28 lb. King Salmon! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay! -- Mark, Gayle, and Anne Lundtvedt

Dear Wolcotts, Your place is amazing, not far from what many of us imagine as as a dream home. My family enjoyed every part of the Nancy Lake Villa, the view, the snow machining on the lake, and the cold because I fear the warmth of the summer to come. Thanks for letting us dwell in your humble abode. -- Deven Pfister, 15 Wolcotts, My stay here was more than I had ever wished for. The first day we went snow machining and came back here and had hot coco. It is hard for me to leave - I loved staying here! McKenzie Pfister, 13 I had fun in the cabin. I can't stay any longer but I wish I could. Thank you, hope I can come again. Bye, Ciarra Pfister, 11 Our quest for snow and a quiet get-a-way was more than fulfilled! Thank you. The Pfister Pfamily P.S. Love the personal touches -- especially the artwork by Theresa Wolcott!

Wow! We are so impressed with this beautiful lake house. Three of us women took 5 kids here for a 2 night stay during our "Alaska spring break." We were worried that the kids would be bored due to the cold, snowy time of the year, but they have entertained themselves non-stop! They have had so much fun sledding, playing hide & seek, and relaxing in the jacuzzi! We can't wait to come back! Thanks to Jim and Theresa for this amazing experience!

Thanks for everything. We had a great time this weekend. The girls took thier first solo ride on their snow machine. The cabin was so much more than I was expecting, it was perfect. My five year old daughter looked up at me while we were eating breakfast and said, "You're the best Daddy in the world!" Great weekend!
