The photos do not do the property justice. We all had a wonderful time enjoying each other’s company in this beautiful haven. We are in the antique business and the attention to detail by the owners was astounding. Truly this was our own paradise and private resort. Thank you Val & Susan for many memorable moments.

Our family of myself and my husband, 5 adult children and 2 spouses, and 1 child stayed for a week after Christmas, 2010. We made arrangements very easily online, all my questions were answered rapidly. The description and pictures on the VRBO site were accurate. We had a great time and loved the house. We had taken family trips previously but had always stayed at motels. This was our first experience renting a home, but not our last. We only wish that we had visited at a time when the weather was warm enough to use the pool. The waterfall in the pool was beautiful. The owners were available by phone and took care of a minor issue immediately. We would definitely stay here again.

Our two families have been renting vacation homes since 1998 and by far this home was the most beautiful. The layout of the home allows for you to be together as a group or have separate private time. The photos give you a great idea of what is available, but the home can really only be fully appreciated once you are there. The crowning attraction of the property is the fabulous pool. It's location on the property was fantastic with shaded areas that we could enjoy it even in the heat of the day (we were here during the record heat wave). Rarely will find a rental home in a location that can offer you a tranquil setting, but only be five to ten minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, churches, etc. It is only a short drive to San Antonio, Blanco, San Marcos, and even San Padre is manageable for a day trip. Thanks to Susan and Val for sharing their property with us. Communications went very smoothly from inquiry to finish. They were always available by phone and email. Enjoy your vacation, you won't find a nicer home at such a reasonable price. * One Note would be to discuss with Susan smaller children or elderly with difficulty walking because of stairs and walkway to the pool. The home offers alternate routes to all areas which may accomodate.

This is a fabulous house! It is exactly as described and has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. The pool in the back yard was the perfect end to our days after visiting the many attractions all within 30 minutes of the house. If you choose to stay here you will not be disappointed!!

If you want to stay in a house that has the WOW factor but also has a great family feel to it then this is the house for you. The house is more than fully equippd with everything you need and more. When we arrived it became immediately obvious that the pictures had failed to do this home justice. From the beautiful gardens to the house itself everything was perfect. The kids loved the pool with swim thru waterfall and diving board and I loved the steam shower and jacuzzi tub. It was so peaceful and the views were for miles. Wanting to take the kids on a quick trip before school started we were fortunate to find your home. We were only 15 miles from our home but it felt like we were in another state. We look forward to our next visit!!
