The casas are located a short distance ride from world-class surfing at Playa Guiones, Nosara and part of the Villas Esperenza - one of the newest in the area. The villa is new and tastefully furnished with vaulted ceilings with a feeling of lightness and openness. Perfect for a group gathering, family reunion, weddings, or surf buddies. We are located about 1/4 mile from the Yoga Institute.
There is plenty to do besides surfing - take a yoga class first thing in the morning at the Yoga Institute next door, shopping for native crafts or go to the beach for early morning surfing. After socializing at the beach area or village come back to your own private peaceful retreat and the quiet of your own lanai. The pool is kid friendly with a gradual entrance at one end. Go sport fishing, ride the zip line through the mountains, or get a excellent massage.
You'll find the Costa Ricans are a very happy generous people who enjoy engaging with visitors. Their motto- Pura Vida-Pure Life-Everything is OK !
The village at Playa Guiones has everything you need, a bank, drug store, medical clinic, car rental, gift shoppes, ice cream store. The rural country roads add to the sense that you are being transported back to a simpler time when we weren't so rushed. In Nosara you have time for yourself and others. In the evening, there is a variety of nightly entertainment that rotates to various bars and clubs. You've got to see Bill McPherson !
There are many restaurants at all price levels. The mix of residents and international tourists makes for a very interesting conversation and fun. Young and old alike enjoy the diversity of Nosara and laid back friendly pace of the town.
The units are approximately 1 mile from Playa Guiones and you will need a vehicle to thoroughly explore the area.

Why the Owner Chose Nosara
I was attracted to Nosara/ Playa Guiones as it is less developed area of Costa Rica. The roads are still unpaved and it still retains the charm of the local community. Yet there are many services you usually find only in the larger cities. We have a french bakery in town, dozens of restaurants, massage facilities, Spas, yoga school, zip line adventure, fishing charters and 4 wheel and kayack adventures in the hills to mention a few. My complex, Arco Iris , was perfect as a potential retirement home in a beautiful lush setting. It's an intimate quiet complex of only 10 units surrounding a huge pool. It's a perfect family destination. One end of the pool has a gradual entrance that's perfect for kids. The complex is protected by 24 hour gated entrance.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
TV / Sky TV satellite service,internet access, outdoor BBQ, hammocks. The pool is huge and pristine. It is located across the street from the newest Grocery Store in town where you can purchase almost anything you might need in the way of food ingredients and personal comforts. The complex is about 3 years old and the landscape has grown into a lush tropical paradise which is manicured daily.

Great restaurant/ bar, lively local scene , entertainment usually on Tuesday night, specializing in fish entrees but they have a full and delicious menu.
Patty Mini Super has some unique offerings not found in other markets, a great wine selection, nice produce and close to the beach.

Here I am on my first trip to Nosara, Costa Rica. What a wonderful time I've had learning about the culture and peoples of Costa Rica... they are so sweet and sincere.
The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. There are all generations of people here...young and old alike are attracted to this little corner of the Nicoya Peninsula in the Guancaste province. There are many Americans, Canadians and ex patriates from around the world. The surfing is world class as there are almost always great waves to ride. The Omega Institue is very close as is the Nosara Yoga School

My wife and I and our three sons stayed at the Arco Iris condos in the summer of 2008. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The rest of our two week trip was spent in Arenal and Manuel Antonio. Each of us commented that our favorite part of the vacation was our stay in Nossara. The town offers great beaches, convenient restaurants and great access to zip lining and other special activities. The condos themselves were very spacious, great amenities, and a wonderful pool. We can't wait to go back!

We simply love Arco Iris, and especially these units. We come to Nosara twice each year, and always stay in this spot. Each of the condos are clean, well equipped, centrally located, secure, and private. Each has a terrific porch overlooking the wonderful pool area. Wi-fi allows us to remain as connected as we want to home and work, and there is reliable TV and DVD if you want to use them. We're surfers and yoga practitioners, and each of these activities is within walking distance (yoga) or a 5 minute drive (surfing). The grocery store and Tico restaurant across the street are very convenient. We've met really friendly people, both regulars and visitors, every time we've stayed. And the owner is very helpful and responsive in case any special needs arise.

We absolutely loved our stay at Arco Iris. It is a short walk from the Yoga Institute and across the street from the best grocery store in Nosara and a great restaurant. Arco Iris is in the perfect location. The area is more local and therefore more authentic. We felt very safe in the gated area, but it did not feel as though we were surrounded by tourists or away from the culture. Many locals live in the development, so we were able to get the inside scoop. The pool is the best in Nosara without a doubt! If you have more than one family, renting two bungalows is a perfect solution. Our sister's family came too and we were together, yet had our separate space. We loved it and would highly recommend Arco Iris to anyone!
