Our vacation centered around watching our 2-year-old have a blast at Dollywood and the Aquarium. Grandma, Babysitter, and a close family friend joined us at the cabin for a fantastic two night stay. We grilled steaks and relaxed in the hot tub on our first evening, enjoyed provided board games, and simply relaxed in peace for the rest of the time. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer! The cabin was easy to find, close to town, yet very private and quite. Martha Stewart could've gone through that cabin with a white glove, it was so clean. We didn't want for anything, especially in the kitchen! Seems the owners have thought of every detail! We had a great visit, and would highly recommend this property to others. We would love to return ourselves.
Owner response:Laura, Thanks for the great review! We're happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. Please come again. Dennis & Bonnye

Our stay was delightful! This cabin will not dissapoint. We loved the privacy and the cabin felt just like home. You don't need to bring anything everything was provided. We had 6 people and 2 small dogs and we never felt cramped. The big screen tv was great for family movies, pool table was awesome, hot tub was just right, and the setting was amazing! The owners were great to work with and even called to check on us to ensure we didn't need anything. Thank you for allowing us to stay and we look forward to visiting next year! Don't miss out on this cabin it is so much nicer than staying at those resort cabins that are right on top of each other the only noise we heard were birds, our 4 boys, and 2 yappy dogs:) Apple decor was so charming and the leather reclining sofas were great!

My entire family enjoyed our stay at Apple Dumpling for our Winter Break and will come back again. Plenty of room and beautifully decorated. Very quiet and secluded, which we love. The pool table was a big hit by all. Hot tub was very relaxing. We even got to see some snow!! The cabin had everything we needed. Had an amazing vacation! Thank you Apple Dumpling! Don't give it another thought - make your reservations now!!
Owner response:Thanks Pam, Your comments go to show that even during a rainy spell in February, you can still have an enjoyable stay and enjoy Pigeon Forge.

We really enjoyed our stay at Apple Dumpling during the Christmas/New Years holiday. It was absolutely beautiful, the cabin, the apple decor, peaceful, quiet and secluded. You both have put so much into the cabin, nothing is needed. Apple Dumpling was warm, cozy, clean and the Christmas decorations were a nice touch!. We will definitely keep you in mind when we visit Tennesse again...There's so much to do and see we just couldn't get it all in. Thank You Again for a wonderful Stay!
Owner response:Rosana, Thanks for your nice review. I hope it helps others realize how nice the Smokeys and Apple Dumpling can be during the winter months. It's especially interesting to see that a family from Miami appreciates wintertime in the mountains. Dennis

My family of 5 enjoyed our stay in Dennis & Bonnye's Apple Dumpling. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas! We loved the location and the flat parking area. Plenty of room for us and our adult daughters. The cabin was clean and had all the household items you could possibly need or want. We will definitely stay there again. The owners were very quick to respond to email questions. I have already recommended this cabin to other family members who often go to the Smoky Mountain area. We went to Dollywood for the Christmas festiviites two days and - of course - SHOPPING! Ready to go back. Thanks again Dennis & Bonnye for sharing your beautiful cabin!

The Apple Dumpling cabin was very comfortable and relaxing. It was quiet and very private. The kitchen had everything you could think of to make a meal. All the rooms were clean and cozy. The hot tub was a good size too! There were plenty of games for the kids to play and they did'nt want to leave. I wish we could have stayed longer!! The owners were very efficient; I would highly recommend this cabin.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Apple Dumpling experience. Many thanks to Dennis and Bonnye for decorating this home in such a welcoming way. We loved the space - the great room and TV were just the right size for us, bedrooms were great, the kitchen just the right size, and the dining area had plenty of room for all 6 of us. Our teen loved the loft for escape from the rest of us. The pool table was a big hit. The wrap-around porch afforded peaceful views of the surrounding forest. We knew we had neighbors, but only because we occasionally heard them. It was definitely secluded, but only minutes from the Pigeon Forge shopping and dining area. You have to try Bennett's for bbque or the Old Mill for a great TN meal. Dollywood was lots of fun, too. Fox Fire Mtn for the zip line was "awesome!" We hope to visit again!
Owner response:Jodi, Thanks for your nice review. Your description of everything that is available should help others with their vacation planning. Dennis & Bonnye

This cabin is very clean and has everything you will need from the kitchen utensils to games and a hot tub. We spent a weekend enjoying hiking (owners gave us great suggestions for hiking trails) in the Smokies with friends and found this cabin a nice retreat. It has plenty of room - with 6 adults, we never once felt crowded. I definitely recommend this cabin if you are looking at staying near Pigeon Forge and I would be up for going back.

This cabin was perfect for our annual girlfriend getaway! It is located away from the hustle of town but within a few short miles to the conevenience of coffe shops, restaurants, and groceries. The cabin has 3 lovely large rooms with very comfortable beds as well as a loft with 2 single beds. The cabin was large enough to accomadate the 4 of us without feeling overcrowded and would definitely accomodate more with ease. We spent most of our time out on the deck lounging with nature anyway. The hot tub and home is fed with well water but it did not bother us at all, actually we only really noticed it in the hot tub, the water softener that is used inside does the trick! We experienced a bit of a learning curve with how to operate the controls for the tv and sound system, but it wasn't for lack of information provided. Dennis and Bonnye provide wonderful instructions for how to operate the components in the cabin and other supplemental information to make you stay more enjoyable. To sum it up, Dennis and Bonnye have created a home away from home for their guests so if you are looking for the sterility of a resort cabin, you will not find it here.
Owner response:Hi all, Thanks for the great review. Come on back for Christmas shopping. November/December is a favorite time of the year for ladies to visit the Smokeys. We believe Pigeon beats the .... out of he Mall of America for shopping/dining/visiting/etc.

My husband, son, daughter-in-law, grandson, dog and myself stayed at the Apple Dumpling over Memorial Day weekend. It was just far enough away to have the peace, quiet, and seclusion we enjoy, yet close enough to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Great Smoky Mountain National Park that all were an easy trip. The cabin is beautifully decorated and felt like a home away from home. Dennis and Bonnye were very helpful and made us feel even more welcomed. We look forward to using their cabin again in the future.
Owner response:Sherri, Thanks for your nice review. May is a beautiful month on Apple Dumpling Ridge and Pigeon Forge at that time of the year offers all of its attractions, but lacks the summer crowds!

We stayed at Apple Dumpling from 5/11- 5/16 of this year. We absolutely LOVED this cabin. There was plenty of room for our family, plus our dog. The pool table and hot tub were a hit with everyone, and the cabin is located just far enough away from downtown pigeon forge, to really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. Thank you so much, we will definitely be back!
Owner response:Scott & Leyla, Thanks for your comments. We were happy to here that everyone had a good time. In our opinion, April and May are two of the best month to visit - with the Dogwoods, Redbuds, Tulips and Jonquils in bloom. We hope you will come again. Dennis & Bonnye

We spent MLK, Jr weekend at the cabin with three other couples. It was an adult weekend, and a WONDERFUL one at that! Apple Dumpling is the perfect getaway with plenty of opportunities to rest, relax and feel pampered. This was our 2nd year in a row to stay there. We love the hot tub, pool table, games and comfy furniture!! It's very clean and perfectly kept. The cabin is perfect with a full kitchen because we never had to leave. However, it is so close to Cumberland Gap that we just had to spend some time at the outlet mall! We absolutely loved our getaway to Apple Dumpling and can't wait to do it again next year!!

We have visited Apple Dumpling numerous times with and without children. Our most recent visit was this past January 2009. This past time we went with 3 other couples and left the kids behind. We had a great time, as always. We turned on the gas fire during cold evenings, played some pool and relaxed in the hot tub with some wine. On Saturday the gals hit the outlet malls for the day while the men hiked in the Smoky Mountains. Sometimes we eat out at one of the restaurants in Pigeon Forge, but our best meals are grilling steaks that the cabin with the football game on in the background. Nothing is lacking and the cabin has always been very clean. We have much privacy and it feels like we are safely secluded in the middle of the woods. We look forward to more good times!

You couldn't ask for a better place to stay for a Mountain vacation. The home is very comfortable with many games and movies to keep the little ones entertained. The kids probably played 50 games of pool in the five days that we were there. The beds were very comfortable, everyone sleep well. Many a good meal was cooked in the fully equiped kitchen during our stay. The home is very close to every thing (20 minutes from Pidgeon Forge) and the drive to the cabins is an easy and pretty drive. We are planning on coming back again next year. How do you make four women (all sisters) happy? Send them to the beautiful Smoky Mountains to stay in the lovely Apple Dumpling cabin. My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our fantastic weekend together enjoying marathon shopping, stuffing ourselves at the great restaurants in Pigeon Forge, namely The Old Mill Restaurant and Mel's Diner, then spending recoup time at the cabin. Three of us girls are local from the Maryville and Knoxville area and one sister is from Texas. We rent a cabin when she comes home for a visit, and we will certainly rent this cabin again. We created wonderful memories at the Apple Dumpling - and it will forever be a part of our memories as sisters and friends. The words satisfactory, or even good, cannot be used to describe our stay at The Apple Dumpling cabin. It was nothing short of fantastic! Dennis & Bonnye Feiock are to be complimented on their attention to extras...the movies, music, decor, kitchen utensils and appliances, great beds, and an abundance of light switches! Finally, when we left we had them memorized! The rooms were beautiful, the beds were exceptionally comfortable! We were overwhelmed at what an awesome home the Feiocks have created! Plus, the weather was perfect. I would gladly stay there again and look anxiously for the opportunity to do so again! Thanks again for making your beautiful home available to the public!

Our family: Steve and Cristine Schoolcraft and our five daughters rented this cabin over spring break 2008. To put it in a nutshell- we had a blast. The cabin is beautiful and has everything our family could need plus more. We really enjoyed all of the extras that are included with this cabin (i.e. pool table, kids games, movies, hot tub etc.) With five daughters it is hard to please everyone but The Apple Dumpling cabin met and exceeded everyone's expectation's. Being so comfortable made our vacation memories the best. Go visit and read what our girls had to write in the guest book. Our week was one of pure pleasure and comfort and we will definately be back to this cabin. Thanks for the amazing memories! The Schoolcraft clan :)

I can’t begin to tell you enough how happy we were to have chosen the Apple Dumpling Cabin for our Thanksgiving 2007 vacation. I, Mom and Dad, the family dog and a family friend, felt at home from the moment we walked through the door.It was obvious that the Feiocks gave considerable thought to their guest’s needs when choosing the amenities for their cabin. The cabin was well stocked with the essentials and the apple motif (which this cabin is so famous for) was tastefully executed. We thought about trying to count all of the apples, but immediately concluded that it would be next to impossible and would likely take the entire week to do so! After a full day of sightseeing and entertainment in the surrounding area, it was wonderful to come “home” to a clean, comfortable and secluded cabin where we could warm ourselves by the gas fireplace, play pool or cards, read a book, or enjoy the outdoor hot tub. The Feiocks had even prepared for our Thanksgiving stay by having the cabin decorated for the upcoming Christmas holiday – Again, I must say, they thought of everything. This was our first adventure in vacation home rental, but it certainly won’t be our last. The Apple Dumpling is already on our list of 2008 vacation destinations!

We spent Christmas 2007 at Apple Dumpling and it was wonderful. The cabin was very clean, neat and well maintained. Pictures don't do it justice! It is so nice and homey..we counted 102 apples in master bedroom and bath...ran out of time for counting the rest of the cabin. It certainly was a holiday to remember for me, my two grown kids and my 96 yr young Mom....she LOVED it!!! Said she never had a Christmas like this and never thought she'd get to stay in a cabin in the mountains! We hope to come back again. Dear Feiock Family, Your Apple Dumpling home was the perfect place for us and some friends to get away and relax!! It is so cozy and homey! The two girls(ages 3 and 7)loved the loft to sleep in. It couldn't have been more perfect. We did get to see "Fatty Patty". She showed up after we had grilled one evening. I guess she thought she would find some left-overs. Maybe next time. We hope to come back and stay again in the springtime if your cabin is available. We had a wonderful time and would recommend your cabin to anyone. Thanks again,

We found the accomodations to be very comfortable and inviting and the cleaning service had it spotless upon our arrival, and everything was in perfect working order. P.S. Dear Feiock Family, We finally returned to enjoy your cabin for the 2nd time. We think it's been 4 years since our last visit. The cabin is wonderful, with more decorations than before! The mystery dog (a coon hound nicknamed Fatty Patty) paid us a visit our first day when she smelled hamburger on the grill... We went white water rafting and had a great time doing that, and at Dollywood. Make sure you keep the same name for the cabin, as that is how I found it again.

In April, 2006, my husband, two boys and I plan our third stay in 3 years at Apple Dumpling. It's a good place to de-stress, with a hot tub, board games, grilled steaks on the deck, etc. The boys love Pigeon Forge with it's miniature golf and go-carts, and at the Black Bear Jamboree they both had a blast dancing on stage with the cast.

We really enjoyed the cabin - especially the "mild" climb up the drive. We rented one a couple of years ago and the road was so bad that we were almost afraid to rent again. The pool table was a big attraction with the boys. There is nothing we could think of that would have made our stay more comfortable - we would certainly rent it again!
