Sonoma Creek Cottage is nestled five minutes drive between the wine country towns of Glen Ellen and Kenwood, and 20 minutes drive thru vineyards to Sonoma's square. This gated, very private property is situated along one acre (500 feet) of Sonoma Creek where you can hear the year round sounds of the flowing water.
Abundant wildlife is drawn to the water’s edge. Easy creek access allows you to explore, or you can sunbathe next to the private solar heated pool.
Beautiful gardens wind through the expansive property where you can picnic in our field or on the lawns. Pick organic fruit and vegetables from our gardens in season.
The elegantly decorated living room with fireplace, open dinning area and gourmet kitchen is surrounded by french doors opening onto the spacious wrap around deck with vistas of the creek, surrounding woods and hills. There is a gas barbecue and ample outdoor seating for family gatherings. For those who do not want to cook, the cottage is just five minutes drive to great breakfast places and world-class restaurants.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, while the second bedroom has a full size bed. The sofa in the living room converts into a double bed. The newly remodeled bathroom with soaker tub & shower overlooks the creek and woods.

Pool Heat: The temperature of our solar heated pool depends on the air temperature. During the summer, the average pool temperature ranges from the upper 70's to low 80's. If you want to insure very warm pool water (approaching 85 in the afternoon), I would recommend ordering supplemental gas heat. For the full effect, the gas will be turned on one day in advance. You can cancel your gas order if you see that the air temperature will be in the 90's: when you won't need it.

We rented the cottage last August for about a week. Very nicely appointed with everything you could need. We cooked many meals there and wanted for nothing when we needed a spice or some other random item we hadn't brought along. The property is behind a gate, which lends to the peace and quiet of the place. We sat on the deck in the mornings to have coffee and again in the afternoons for a glass of wine. the cottage was air conditioned which helped during the warmer afternoons. There were lots of windows allowing for natural light. Very pretty. The property has a pool, which was great for the entire family. The pool was not heated so it took some getting used to for the adults but the kids could have cared less. There were a lot of bees while we were there as well so if you have someone with an aversion to them, this could present a challenge. Lastly, the property is minutes from Glen Ellen and it's wonderful market, as well as many wonderful wineries in the area. Go and enjoy!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

BASE RATES:375/nt for 2 nights, 325/nt for 3-5 nights, 2100/wk Winter Rates (November through February): 295/nt for 2 nights, 245/nt for 3-5 nights, 1400/wk Pool Heat: Year round solar heating is free. Supplemental gas heat to ensure warmer water is $40/day plus a set up fee of $40 from June 20 to Sept 20. The cost for gas heat beyond those dates will be charged according to usage.
