  Several friends and I rented this house for our wine tasting weekend and we loved it! The house was in a great location - only 1 house away from the beach and in the middle of wine country. The interior and layout of house was much better than I expected. The pictures do not do it justice! They also have a great back yard that was perfect for the dog we brought along. The property was clean and had a very well stocked kitchen, which was a huge plus! Kathy, the owner, was so helpful and easy to communicate with and very accommodating - answering all of my questions quickly! I highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting the North Fork. We will certainly be back!

  This house was beautiful! Great for adults and kids, everything is provided for you. Very clean and well kept. We had such a great time! We couldn't have asked for better weather - the walk to the beach was perfect. Very close to vineyards and restaurants as well. Kathy is great to deal with, very quick to respond. We had the pleasure of meeting her and was very welcoming and friendly. My husband and his family have rented houses for years in the Jamesport area and this has topped the list! We look forward to renting again next year!

  Just had the most relaxing week on the beach with family & friends. Comfortable & clean with plenty of room. Lived in our bathing suits the entire week. We all look forward to doing it again next summer. Also, so close to the vineyards which is a must to visit.

  A secluded hideaway right on the North Shore! This was the perfect vacation house for me and my husband (& small dogs!)...within the first day we were already planning our next year's trip saying, "we really should have booked two weeks" and "can you believe how close we are to the vineyards?" The location was phenomenal - do everything or do nothing. The home enveloped you with relaxation from the decorating to the furnishings to having everything you might need at your fingertips! The home was immaculate and the yard was gorgeous. We had bright fun days at the beach and luxurious nights under the stars. Kathy was the best host - available and answering any question I had. I am already looking forward to next summer!!!

  My family and I stayed at this beautiful house for a week at the end of May and it was the perfect getaway. The pictures and descriptions are absolutely accurate, but do not come close to describing the property and location. The home is nice and open, the grounds amazing and the beach just perfect. It was one of the best vacations we have ever had, so relaxing and so much fun. Kathy was a pleasure to deal with, full of information, fast to respond, and very pleasant. Thank you for allowing us to share your space - we will be back!

  This was a truly wonderful place to stay! We came in April for the wineries, although I would definitely come back in the warmer months for the beach as well. It was a great house for our group - 3 young couples - clean, large, on a quiet street, and a short cab ride from lots of vineyards. Kathy was really wonderful to correspond with - pleasant, quick to respond, and clearly interested in making sure we had a good stay. It's a great place for a weekend (or longer) getaway!

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

  **Everything about the house and the owners was better than I expected (and I had high expectations!)** After looking at a few houses via homeaway.com (and other sites) I decided on this house. I had been looking at houses all over the north fork, but I felt that this house offered a great location, easy access to the wineries and restaurants and plenty of room in a comfy environment. Yet, it wasn't too far out on the fork to make it a long car trip. We are a bunch of ladies (late 20s to late 30s) that wanted to get away for some wine tasting and celebration. We knew we wouldn't be able to take total advantage of the backyard and the beach because it was March, so we wanted to have a house that had a good area for us to hang out inside. While the pictures that the owners have up are pretty accurate, I actually thought the space was BETTER than the pictures depicted. The kitchen/dining room/living room were all connected and made a great space for our group. The rooms are beautifully decorated, very clean and had everything you needed. We took a walk to the beach and it was really just one house away and was beautiful, even on a Cold March evening. The owners were great. They were on top of things in regards to the contract, checks and returning the deposit. I sent them quite a few emails about random questions I had, and all my questions were answered promptly. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.

  Just returned from two nights in this lovely beach house. Great location with lots of room. The house is just as pictured in this description. The place was clean and well maintained and the kitchen has all the necessary tools for preparing meals. Kathy provided great directions and suggestions for things to do in the area. This is a wonderful place to stay!

  We had a wonderful time at this property - great location, exactly as described, and had everything that we needed. We were a group of 8 women that were out for a much needed girls weekend away, and the Jamesport house was just what the doctor ordered. We were minutes away from fantastic wineries (we had a great time with North Fork Wine Tours), the Tanger Outlets, yummy restaurants, farm stands, and cafes. And the property is STEPS from the beach. Fantastic. The property is simple beach chic, with plenty of towels, linens, and a fully equipped kitchen. Kathy was also an pleasure to work with - having rented many vacation properties in the past, this interaction was by far one of the smoothest and most pleasant I have experienced.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Kathy s Jamesport beach house! She was a pleasure to deal with and took good care of us. The beach was small enough as to not attract crowds, but large enough for our family not to be on top of anyone else. There was plenty of sea life for the kids to explore and the water was calm so a toddler could have fun! The house was big enough for 6 adults and 2 kids with an enclosed yard where the kids could play while we adults could relax. The house was well maintained and the laundry room made it easy to keep up with towels. The great room was big enough, yet intimate enough to enjoy everyone s company. We brought paper goods since there wasn't a dishwasher. The outdoor shower was an added treat! We walked to the Bayview Inn for dinner 3 blocks away which was great with the kids and the Jamesport Inn was great for an upscale adult dinner. Cliffs Elbow Room was a great casual dining spot in town. Close to the vineyards,farm stands, shopping and Atlantis Aqaurium, there was plenty to do and see. We could have used a powder room, but all in all we were very happy there and can't wait to go back!

  We had a great time and did spend some unforgetable days. The house is within footsteps to a perfect beach: white sand, not crowed (in fact we were most of the time the only one at the beach). It is located on the "inner side" of the north fork, so no rough sea and the beach enters the water not steep so perfect for kids. Jamesport itself is the perfect place for the area, as it is in the middle of "everything", nice villages, restraunts, vineyards, shopping malls and outlet center and also the hamptons or orient point and a train link to NYC. It's definitvily not a party place, but great for some quite days. Perfect for kids as there are several great playgrounds in the town itself but also in the vincinty. There are lot's of things too do. The house itself is in a very quite and safe area. It is in a dead an street - hardly any traffic. Our boy used to ride the bike - the house comes with two kid bikes - on the street, no problem. On the house itself I have to say: It is okay, I wasn't as overwhelmed as the others were who rated this house, but perhaps I had because of the other coments too high expectaions. Don't get me wrong: Apart from a dishwasher it has very thing you need including a full cable tv set and high speed internet access. It's well maintained and everything indicated on the website was in fact there. Everything was like described. You could discuss, whether it's newly rennovated (as indicated) or not. I would say no, but this didn't matter as everything was working and the overall status of the property was absolutly okay. We found it very comfortable that house keeping was included: Someone came for midterm cleaning. Never had this before for a vacation house. Kathy is a perfect host: Very friendly and helpfull! No problems! Very uncomplicated! So my overall assesment: House good, location excellent! 4 out of 5 points.

  The house was very nice and well kept. Cute beach on the bay. Lots of farm markets and wineries. If you are a fan of shopping the great Tanger Outlet is close by.

  It is September 15th and we’ve just returned from our week in South Jamesport. We loved it. The 4 bedroom setup was just what we needed, the yard was cool and calm and the beach proximity was perfect. A bit of air conditioning did not go amiss our first day which was quite hot and steamy. The immediate neighborhood is charming and a lovely place to explore during a quite walk. With Junda's Bakery, the Modern Snack Bar and various wineries close by what more could you ask for. Riverhead and Greenport are both a short drive away if you feel the need for a busy day.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

  Thank you soooo much! We had such a nice time! We loved sitting outside at the table for two under the kitchen window drinking coffee in the morning or a little wine at night! So nice! The neighborhood was lovely! It changed walking the dog from a chore to something thoroughly enjoyable! The proximity to the beach was terrific! So incredibly close! We also enjoyed our trip to the Martha Clara Vineyard! Again, so close! The house was very clean and comfortable! Absolutely perfect! Thanks so much for your hospitality! We look forward to another visit!

  We found the perfect beach house!...As four retired adults we love to vacation in the off season and this house was perfect for us. The husbands could roll out of bed, grab their fishing poles and caught breakfast a few yards from the house. Then they cooked their catch on the backyard grill, supplemented them with food cooked in the gourmet kitchen and the wives could enjoy it all after we got back from walking the quiet neighborhood. A perfect start to all of our seven vacation days. We toured all of Long Island..lighthouses, wineries, farm stands, North Fork and South Fork during the days and came back to relax by the fish pond in the back yard. The weather was unbelievable for Oct...people were swimming in the bay...and we'd have appetizers in the back yard before the guys would have another early evening fishing session. The open kitchen/living area was great when the guys came home to cook dinner and we could all socialize together. With all wood floors and tile this house was a breeze to keep clean and it was a great vacation for the women!! With four bedrooms and the location next to the beach it has to be perfect for families vacationing in the summer. We still can't believe just a short ferry ride from CT brings us to this beautiful part of NY. We can't wait to go back.

  What a wonderful home! We had a girls get-a-way weekend to remember forever! We spent the day at the vineyards, sunset at the beach and nights around the table in this warm inviting house. The rooms were perfect and each of them have that great beach decor! Thank you so much! From Long Island, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey!
