Located on the north end of Toledo Bend Reservoir on the Texas side, the Cottage is 5 miles north of Huxley Bay Marina, 25 miles east of Center, TX, and 18 miles south of Logansport, LA. It is about a one-hour 15 minute drive from Shreveport, LA, one hour from Pendleton Bridge, and 3 ½ hours from Dallas or Houston, TX and Lafayette, LA.
The Cottage has two bedrooms, two baths, living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor grills, satellite TV, high-speed Internet, central air/heat, covered porch overlooking the lake, and a screened–in covered deck (The Lanai). There is a breakfast table for four in the kitchen, a dining table for six in the living area, three stools at the bar, a table for four on the covered porch, and tables for 4 and 2 on The Lanai. One bedroom has a king-size bed and a single bed and the other bedroom has a queen-size bed, and two single beds. There is also a double bed in the utility room off the kitchen area and a large sofa in the living room. The Lanai also makes a great sleeping porch! Two covered stalls provide space to park your car or boat, and adjacent to the Cottage is a fishing pier and boat ramp for your use. The Cottage accommodates up to nine people and has just about every convenience you have in your home, including a dishwasher, large microwave, washer, dryer, and two refrigerators.

Like this place so much I wanted to keep it all to myself, but I really should let others it enjoy it, too. Lots of homey touches (thanks Beth!) that make this cottage a perfect vacation spot. This isn't your Grand-daddy's fishin' camp! Off-the-beaten-path kind of place and a bit tricky to find, so pay attention to the owners' directions 'cuz they're spot-on. Like that the Crafts are pet lovers and allow some 'critters' -- if they're well-behaved, of course.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+.

If you are looking for a great lake getaway,this is the place. The Cottage was immaculate and comfortable. Everything is provided for just like home. All you need to do is bring your food and enjoy the beautiful lake view and the spetactular sunrises. The host, Beth and Greg, are the most accomodating and intertaining people on the lake. Greg is a professional guide on Toledo Bend and can help you out with his guide service or just help you out if you bring your own boat. Beth is an artist and has done wonderful portraits and amazing stained glass work."She also is a gourmet cook if you are looking for some special fish recipets". The supplies in the kitchen leave notning wanting as Beth has overseen the fine details to make your stay a memorable experience. I highly recommend this cozy Cottage for a great getaway. My boys said it was the best trip so far.
