Our extensively remodeled condo is unquestionably one of the nicest in the St. Augustine Ocean and Racquet Resort and one of only a small number of units with in-condo WiFi. This ground-floor unit is extremely private and looks out on dunes with the ocean beyond. The view varies depending on the environment; typically slivers of ocean are visible beyond the horizon, but dunes are also higher at times. Literally steps to boardwalk and the ocean (2-3 minute walk, max) and in a complex that's gated and secure.
Our unit features 16 x 16 tiled floors throughout,new appliances,all new furniture, new vanities in bathrooms with solid-surface countertops and tumbled marble countertops in kitchen. Sleeps six total, with new Sealy pillowtop queen bed in master, two new Sealy plush twin beds in second bedroom, and a sofa bed in the living room.
Our beach is maintained by the city and always pristine, unlike some other areas nearby. Pride of ownership is clear throughout the complex and we ask only that guests treat our unit as they would their own property, gently and with care, as we have. We'd love to have you as our guests. My husband, Chad, and I treasure our condo at St. Augustine Beach. It's hard for us to believe we have owned it now for almost five years, but each year brings new memories as our family grows. We've been at the beach when it's sunny, when its hotter than Hades, when it's cool and when it's flat out cold; we've been when it's windy and rainy and even a little flooded after a heavy storm...but we can tell you honestly that for us, there is never a bad day at the beach. Therefore, whenever we can get away from our jobs, we drive over from our home in Gainesville for as much restoration and renewal as our schedules will allow. The beach is so good for that!
Recently we added WiFi, since we both like having constant Internet access and have enjoyed that a lot. We hope you do, too. Our VRBO business has been great and we are just beginning to see people year after year who experience the beauty of our place and "our beach" and make plans to come back. Please keep us in mind as you're considering where to take your next vacation. We value your time, your business and your support and it genuinely makes us feel good to be able to share this part of the world with others who are "locals" or out-of-towners experiencing Florida for the first time. Why the Owner Chose Ocean Racquet Club
I've lived in Florida all my life and have always loved the beach. My husband, a native Utahan, has also lived in this state for many years. We like St. Augustine because of its proximity to Gainesville, which allows us the opportunity to visit often. We looked at several condos in the area when we decided to buy but were quickly sold on the Ocean & Racquet Resort, which is well-run, secure and (as my husband the engineer likes to point out) - structurally sound. It's an older complex than some on the beach but was very well built and continues to be extremely well maintained. The location is also ideal, being less than a mile from the Publix shopping plaza and many nearby restaurants, as well as only a 10-15 minute drive to the old city and its many attractions.

The old city of St. Augustine....never gets old! We like the security and family-friendliness of our condo community, Ocean & Racquet Resort, the closeness of our particular unit to the beach and the convenience of our groundfloor unit. We have seen the environment change many times as the dunes go up or down, and our view is never the same from month to month. We like observing the environmental changes and the wildlife we see in the dunes, and the fact that St. Augustine Beach has managed to retain a natural beauty and purity, unlike many of the south Florida beaches that have become more commercialized.

Thank you, Holly. It's very true that our view varies depending on the environment; usually there are slivers of water visible above the dunes, but not always. However,what remains consistent is the privacy aspect, and yes, what we would agree is a very peaceful and serene location, in addition to having the convenience of being on the ground floor. Potential renters who feel the need for that bird's eye view of the ocean may wish to explore other units that are higher.
