Welcome! I'm the Tree House. Thank you for looking at my website. I'm a nice and cozy condo in beautiful Lake Toxaway, North Carolina. I would love to have you visit me. I love people and have a few questions for you. Here goes:
Do you like to sit on a screened in back porch and hear the leaves sing in the wind? Do you like to look out at a huge pine tree, the top of which is only 6 feet from you? Do you like to look out on a clear day and see 50 miles with 2 big lakes and national forest with evergreens dotted with maples? 80% of the trees are below you... That's where I get my name!
I know there will be days you want to leave me because there are lots of waterfalls nearby and thousands of miles of hiking. I can share you! There are horses near-by...Or...Take a day trip and drive along the magnificent Blue Ridge Parkway which ambles thru several states. Canoeing and kayaking are close by for rental or you can take a pontoon ride and relax. Ever done a llama trek thru the mountains? Even an overnight? How about rock climbing? There's so much to do around here if you enjoy the outdoors...Or just relax and read a good book!
You may wish to visit the Biltmore Estates: the house, the gardens, and the winery make for a great day.
Another day could be enjoyed in Dillard riding my friend "The Great Smoky Mountain Railway". Warning: he's full of hot air!
By nightfall you may wish to come home to me and enjoy the view or listen to music or go to one of several great restaurants which can be found in the area.
You will have to walk up a few steps to come up to my branches, but believe me, I'm worth the climb for the view that I offer! Have a wonderful time!
