Great place for a Girls Trip

Guest: Hilton Head Junkies (Winston Salem NC)
Date of Stay: 04/27/12 Review Submitted: 04/30/12

There were 8 of us (girls trip) who stayed at this cabin. The pictures do not do the place justice. The zip line is really for all ages as I was 49 (but only 4' 11) and could go down it with ease. Just long enough to be fun. Owners are truly great in that we encountered a flat tire, ended up lost (due to my following mapquest) in another developement, and they helped us the entire time by phone. Even sending help with the flat tire! Dan was a great help in getting our tire fixed the next day so as not to ruin our trip! A truly wonderful home to enjoy the mountains. Would loved to have stayed longer and highly recommend booking.

Where to stay when visiting the Green River Plantation

Guest: Theresa (Georgia)
Date of Stay: 04/20/12 Review Submitted: 05/01/12

I just spent 2 nites at Creekside. Initially when my travel party recommended a cabin, I thought, hmmm "i'll go along but I am bringing the germ products". When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The cabin is very clean, very modern, TV's everywhere, bedrooms on every floor, clean bathrooms, hot tub, wrap around porch.. just beautiful accomodations in every way. In addition, if you forgot anything (toothpaste, dryers, razors, sewing kit etc..). it is there. There was nothing forgotten. The location has a beautiful view. This is definately a place that I would pick again if ever I travel to the mountains.

Grammie's Vacation

Guest: Grammie (Cocoa, FL)
Date of Stay: 11/09/11 Review Submitted: 11/14/11

We stayed at Creekside for 4 days in November and it was incredible. There were 16 of us including 6 children, 19 mos. to 10 years. There was plenty to keep every one occupied. Zip line was the hit with the kids, the creek, the river, pool table, and all the extras for children that you provided. We could not have had a better time. I will and have recommended this cabin to everyone. Thank you for a great time.

Enjoyable Stay in a Beautiful Home

Date of Stay: 08/14/11 Review Submitted: 09/08/11

We enjoyed our stay in this well-appointed cabin, which is beautifully decorated while maintaining the rustic spirit of the area. It was a wonderful vacation, with plenty to do for those who wanted outdoor activity, while at the same time being a calm, peaceful retreat, a lovely place to wind down from the day's activities with a soak in the jacuzzi and cocktails on the deck. The kichen is well equipped with everything needed to prepare meals, and there is a nice grill for cooking outside.

We Love Creekside (Sarasota, FL)

Guest: Caren1 (Cape Cod, MA)
Date of Stay: 08/14/11 Review Submitted: 09/05/11

This is our second visit to Creekside, and this time we invited another couple to join us. We were really excited to take advantage of the new amenity at Cleghorn County Club. I swam and had great conversations with the "locals" while the others played tennis and visited the clubhouse. All of the beautiful things about "Creekside" remained, but there are so many fun additions too! The guys explored the new paths and the lake, and the ladies enjoyed the updated hot tub and expanded deck. The weather and the views were amazing! The new, modern TVs in each room were impressive, but we had little time to watch them with so many other things to do in the area! We looked through the updated and super organized "things to do" book the owners have in the kitchen, and we discoverd new restaurants and an amazing tea room in Hendersonville. We loved preparing food in the kitchen... which has everthing you need...but there were also new places to eat out. The new mudroom is convenient to drop everything and "dust off" before heading into the cabin. We didn't have to go searching for shoes or beach bags. The owners provided everything we needed to have a great time!

Exceeded our Expectations in Every Way!

Guest: Catherine, Raliegh, NC
Date of Stay: 08/12/11 Review Submitted: 08/22/11

We had a wonderful stay at Creekside. Creekside exceeded our expectations in every way! You truly have thought of everything - to the fully stocked kitchen, baskets of extra toiletries in each bath to numerous kids videos, games and toys. A long weekend was just not enough time to enjoy it all! The children especialy loves the zip line. The house definitely has the feel of being in a well-cared for home, and not a "rental," which was very nice. You have been a pleasure to work with--and I hope that it will work out for our family to stay at Creekside again soon!

Home away from home

Date of Stay: 07/16/11 Review Submitted: 08/03/11

Our family discovered Creekside in 2007 and we've been hooked ever since. We have stayed at the cabin 5-6 times now (Fall is the best season) and every visit leaves us with the fondest of memories. The Belle family has thought of EVERYTHING and we don't feel like we are staying at a rental cabin. The home is warm and stocked with everything one would need from things in the kitchen to games for the kids. The location is ideal as it allows one to do a variety of activities during the day and come back to the cabin to relax in the evening. Proximity to Charlotte, Asheville, the Smokies, Lake Lure, etc. make it easy to plan for a full week of vacation. The hardest part always is leaving. My kids always say they wish they could live there! Thank you Belle family for sharing your home.

Relaxing/Refreshing The Perfect Get Away

Guest: Jane (Sarasota, FL)
Date of Stay: 07/05/11 Review Submitted: 07/11/11

This was my second visit to Creekside and can only tell you that each and every review says it all. My daughter and I had a get away this summer and met up with six other teenage girls and three other Moms. We relaxed in the hot tub, enjoyed movies into the evenings, dined at The Water Oak (which is amazing as well) and toured Chimney Rock. The girls had so much to do on the beautiful property.....no such thing as "boredom" here! Many thanks to the wonderful owners!!!

I can not say enough nice things about this cabin. The pictures do it no justice. There were 8 of us there for a couples weekend get-a-way and we had a fabulous time. The guys loved the zip line and because the weather was so nice we had a great time playing Frisbee and football in the HUGE yard. We brought tons of groceries so that we could prepare our own meals every night and to our surprise the cabin was FULLY stocked with every pot, pan seasonings, etc that we could imagine. The place was decorated perfectly and had plenty of room for all couples to have time to themselves without being on top of each other. The price is unbeatable for such a great cabin. Thank you Belle family for having us at your beautiful home. I look forward to returning next year!

Your cabin "far" exceeded our expectations. We had a fabulous time and were able to see Sliding Rock, Chimney Rock (saw Lake Lure), downtown Chimney Rock, tubing on The Green River, lunch in Saluda, wine tasting at the Rock House Yineyards, and spent a wonderful afternoon in Hendersonville. Your location was great for all of these. I could not get over how well "stocked" your cabin is. We didn't need a thing. On the last night, we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. The hot tub was also enjoyable at night. Your landscapting is also beautiful. The beds were also very comfortable. We would love to go back in the fall! Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality and sharing your warm home with us.

Spring Break could not have been any better for my family or friends! The Belle family has outdone themselves with the level of service they offer! From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we felt like we were home. Our usual vacations have us packing everything under the sun, but it was not the case with this cabin. Not only does it offer an incredible cabin, fully stocked with all the luxuries of home, it has an amazing 8 acres to play on. From the zip line to the hiking trail, catching salamanders & crawfish to being completely lazy in the hammock under the tress, this will definitely be a place our family returns to over & over again. We also found it conveniently close to many attractions, such as Downtown Rutherfordton, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Hendersonville (Kilwin's is a must!), Ashville, and so much more! You can seriously do as much or as little as you'd like to! Oh, and did I mention that the Belle family is just as wonderful as their home! Malena, especially goes above & beyond to make sure your vacation is nothing less than perfect! With an immaculate cleaning crew & the amenities offered, this is by far the best cabin we have ever stayed in! Thank you Mike & Malena for giving us such wonderful memories! We will definitely be back!!! Will & Amber

We had a perfect experience at this cabin! The weather was excellent with sunny skys and mild temps to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage. We stayed Nov. 5-8 2009 and had a total of 12 family members aged 7 to 55. Each and every one of us had a great time. The kids especially loved the zip line and creek. As advertised, the cabin is close to all sorts of cool things. We visited Lake Lure, climbed Chimney Rock, ate Lunch in Saluda(Purple Onion),went to Pearsons falls, Sky top orchard, and tasted wine at the Green creek Winery. While at the Cabin we enjoyed seeing Deer and Wild turkey right from the deck too. As far as the cabin itself, this place is unbelievable! Over the years we have stayed at numerous other cabins and this one was, by far the nicest and best thought out. Everything you could possibly want or need is thought of. We even made a pie one day and forgot a spice. Guess what... it was there. The kitchen is better eqipped than my home kitchen. Toys, games, DVD's... everything you could possibly think of. Mike and Malena have done a outstanding job making this a warm and comfortable home away from home. We will most definitely stay again without even bothering to compare to anything else. It just doesn't get any better than "Creekside".

Our family, and our relatives from FL had a wonderful time visiting NC. Your vacation home was very comfortable, well appointed, and provided a great home base for our sightseeing and adventures. The kids were particularly enthusiastic about the zip-line and the hot tub, and having lots of space for everyone to spread out felt very luxurious. We had a wonderful week! The Scott Family

We recently stayed at the cabin for a week long summer vacation. Our group included myself, my husband, my two teenagers, my parents, my younger brother and my older brother and his wife. We had 3 generations under one roof, for the first time! Everyone had a blast! We have stayed at many rentals and have never had one as well equiped as yours. Everything we needed was right there. The cabin and the grounds were perfect. We walked to the park, layed in the hammock, ate on the patio, went in the hot tub and enjoyed the zip line and swing! We also made day trips to: Carowinds, Mt. Mitchell, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Earthshine Ranch (for zip-lining) and white water rafting. We had a great family bonding trip. Thank you so much for your hospitality and thoughtfulness!

I recently rented this cabin property for the groomsmen at my wedding (which was at nearby Green River Plantation), and couldn't be happier with that choice! Out of everything that went on that weekend for my wife and I, the cabin was extremely convenient and nothing I had to worry or think twice about. Some of the guests of the wedding stayed in hotels in nearby Forest City, which is about 10 minutes up the highway, but I know for certain that everyone who enjoyed this cabin was very happy to have stayed there. It was a great place to entertain guests after the rehearsal dinner on Friday night, and then served as a wonderful place for all the groomsmen to get ready for the wedding with plenty of bathrooms and showers to use. There are plenty of large bedrooms in case couples want to go in together and rent out the cabin for a fun weekend, and the hot tub was a crowd pleaser as well. The cabin truly has everything you would need or want, and I'd recommend bringing groceries to cook/grill there at the cabin - if you do that there's really no reason to leave the cabin at all the whole weekend! The owners were extremely polite and easy to get along with, and took it upon themselves to try and accomodate my needs to make things easier on me - which I truly appreciated. I highly recommend staying at this gorgeous cabin for anyone with a large group heading toward the Rutherfordton area.

My friends and I love to scrapbook. We decided to have a girls weekend to do just that. We started looking for a place and we came across Creekside. It was perfect for us. It is in a private area which made us feel safe, it's very spacious for us and all our stuff(and we have a lot!). We love to sit out on the wrap around deck, either to eat or just get our thoughts together and in the evenings the hot tub felt wonderful. The wildlife there is amazing, the deer and wild turkey would pass right through the yard. The Belles are great to work with and they have everything that you could ever need there. They've thought of it all. Thanks for a great place and I will see you again very soon!!!!

My friends and I rented Creekside while we were in Rutherfordton for a wedding and it was easily the best decision we made the entire trip. While the rest of the wedding guests were dispersed among several hotels, we had ample space, the amenities of a resort and the comfort of a beautiful home in a great setting. The owners have thought of everything and them some and were incredibly easy to work with and accomodating. If you are going to be in the Rutherfordton area, you will be making a mistake if you stay anywhere else. Upon our departure, we were already in the process of planning a return trip in the near furture. I hope to be back soon.

My family had our 2nd-time reunion at the cabin in June and again we had a WONDERFUL time! It is so great to watch the kids in a safe atmosphere playing freely outdoors & being totally happy. I think they all forgot about TV! The adults enjoyed the beautiful deck and the grounds. We hiked around and everyone commented how fulfilling our vacation was. We are planning to return next summer - we all love being at the Belle's cabin - nothing is overlooked by this gracious family!

My family had the VERY best time at Creekside. We have not celebrated Thanksgiving together in many years and decided it was time. With some research my neice came upon the VRBO website and from there we were fortunate to get the Belle's Creekside Cabin. This cabin is awesome! The 3 levels were perfect for our group. We had plenty of space and everything flowed wonderfully! We have already decided to return in the summer! The Belle's are the best too!! This cabin and the surrounding grounds are so peaceful, and the Belle's are wonderful too! Thank you! Linda Fulmer

I think all of the other comments are right on target. There aren't enough nice things to say about staying at Creekside. The entrance to the grounds is impressive in passing but pales in comparison to what awaits. The cabin is immense in size and amenities. The pictures available online are nothing in comparison to the beauty and appeal of the interior. My wife and I were married in the front of the house. The landscape is a sprawling both with man made and natural work. Everything from the Televisions to the bathrooms are abundant in charm. Every detail says "you are home". It took the majority of the weekend that we stayed to notice all of the rustic details applied to the cabin to make you feel welcome. The spa was terrific and very well cared for as was the zip line. My wife loved the swing in the massive tree out front, its tucked away and served as a second day hidden treasure. The creek is an amazing emerald color that runs clear in areas and proved to be a great spot for turtle spotting and swimming. On our first day we spotted six deer run across the yard. Sitting on the porch literally allows you to leave everything so far behind you'll find yourself asking what was I supposed to do upon returning to your routine. I was having a very stress filled day that we arrived and the second I stepped in the door I felt my mood instantly transformed. Usually with rentals like this you will have to deal with impersonal and often rude individuals but not with this cabin rental. The Belles and there cabin go hand in hand. You could not ask for better people to deal with. They have everything laid out for you to cover every situation in the house. The convienience and trust given by this family exceeds even the highest expectations. They helped make our special day more than what it should have been and without a doubt will make your vacation stay at their cabin a memorable one. I have been on many vacations and most lasting over a week but I had more fun and felt more relaxed in one night at Creekside than on any one of those. Thanks again and we can't wait to return!

The cabin has everything you could possibly need, from beach chairs and toys for children of all ages, to every possible item you could ever need in the kitchen. The home is in immaculate condition. My girlfriend surprised me with this trip to this cabin in the Mountains. When we arrived, my first thought was WOW! It is amazing how the cabin is built into the mountain side and offered such peace and quiet, along with amazing views. (We certainly weren't in Florida anymore!) The cabin offered everything we needed, a great kitchen, a grill, fireplace, hot tub,and a comfortable bed. Like any guy, I must mention I was also impressed with the hundreds of channels on the TV! We were delighted to see so many deer, turkeys and other wildlife around the property. I couldn't wait to take a dip in the nearby creek. We also found a book that listed several great thing to do in the area. We had such a great time, we can't wait to return!

The cabin was extremely warm and inviting, and we felt "like home" right away in the spacious but cozy cabin. The owners did a great job of making it look like a country cabin, but gave the comforts of a luxury resort at the same time! Our time on the main floor was used to talk, relax, look at the beautiful view, feel the cool breeze and listen to the sounds of nature. When we felt like "hitting the town", there was an informative, organized book in the cabin to help us plan a different adventure every day. The entire stay was fantastic!

Our week at the "Cabin" was absolutely fantastic. We found the cabin to be very well appointed and yet maintain a "down home" comfortable atmosphere. The woodwork inside is absolutely gorgeous and lends itself to the overall warmth of the cabin. Your book which listed local attractions and restaurants was of tremendous help to us. We had a choice of quiet days and peaceful evenings or days filled with visiting local attractions of which there are many. We elected to tour the area and spend quiet relaxing evenings around the fire pit. Your attention to detail left no unanswered questions and helped create a stress free vacation for us all. The "Cabin" and it's amenities far surpassed our expectations. Our next trip to North Carolina will certainly include a week at Creekside. Thibodeau/Law Families from Florida/Connecticut

The cabin and the property were actually larger than expected. We liked everything but the best parts for the kids were playing in the creek/woods, the hot tub and the rec area at the river. All of the appliances and equipment were excellent. The decorating was very well done. We borrowed the wading boots and the kids loved playing in the creek. We went to Chimney Rock (very convenient location). We would definitely return to Creekside.
