We felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. The home was beautifully furnished and decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare great family meals. The beds were so comfortable we didn't even miss our own! Best of all, the hospitality and kindness extended by our host far exceeded our expectations.

Why the Owner Chose Jackson Hole
Teton Valley Idaho is close enough to Jackson for our 'city fix' needs, yet far enough away to be 'away from the madding crowd' and yet still have all of the active lifestyle opportunities offered in Jackson. It's just a different 'vibe' and we have chosen Ski Hill Road because it is close to grand Targhee Resort and Teton Canyon - the West slope's best access to the mountains.
The Unique Benefits at this Town home
The Teton Valley is also known as: 'The Quiet Side of the Tetons'. There is the Teton river to float and fish, many excellent golf courses to chose from, a few very nice eateries and a fabulous grocery store. But most of all - there is peace and quiet and great access to skiing in winter and hiking in summer.
For those who seek activity, Grand Targhee resort offers all sorts of out-door courses and chairlift rides to the summit in summer. Driggs has a very fine small aircraft museum and an excellent restaurant at the airfield. The Huckleberry milkshakes offered at the classic old corner drug store will knock your socks off.
Owner's Map of Jackson Hole
Welcome to the beautiful West slope of the Tetons. Your hosts are Susan and Hamish Tear, who live in Jackson Hole. Hamish is from Scotland and met Susan whilst they were skiing in Vail Colorado, and decided to stay there - for twenty years. They created and operated a Scottish imports business 'Scotch on the Rockies' there, before moving to Jackson in 2002. Our love of the mountains is obvious and we ski, hike, raft, ride horses - the whole tamale.
We are newly empty nesters and intend on living in Ski Hill Road Lodge some time soon. Our two boys, Cameron, 21, and Frazer, 18 were born and raised in Vail and Jackson and are now off in their own worlds - Cameron studying sports physiology at University of Utah, Frazer off on a year-long sabbatical to New Zealand to kayak.
The photo is of Hamish - until we get that updated.
