Enjoy 'A Change Of Pace' on your next visit to the Smokey Mountains! Entering the cabin from the level 3-car drive, you will be struck by the spacious layout of the living and dining areas with their wood-paneled walls and wood floors. Sink into the leather sofa and chairs and gaze out at the spectacular mountain view through the French doors leading to the upper deck. Grill steaks and burgers on the charcoal grill or just watch the sun rise while sipping an early morning cup of coffee or hot chocolate. In the evening, relax while watching a movie from our DVD library on the 36' TV.
The kitchen with its hand-decorated cabinets is well stocked with 16 place settings, a wide variety of cookware, storage containers, and small appliances, including toaster, can opener, microwave, mixer, blender, Crockpot, and coffee maker. Make yourself right at home with a full size oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher!
Sleep peacefully in the three bedrooms with their high-quality cotton sheets on queen-sized mattresses in rustic log bed frames, or stay up late watching your favorite shows or a movie on cable. Wake up to sunshine streaming through the picture window or patio door walkout in the rear bedrooms facing the mountains.
The two bathrooms with tub and shower are finished in the same wood paneling as out in the family room, which matches beautifully with the quality sage green bath towels and washcloths.
Down on the lower level you'll find an expansive game room with a full-size pool table, TV and DVD, a library of movies and books, stereo system, and a full size futon with inner-spring mattress. Play one of our board games or your favorite card game on the large round oak game table. There’s plenty of seating for everyone. Or step out to the lower deck and the hot tub where you can relax in complete privacy. It's a covered deck, so don't let the weather stop you!
Down the hall is the whirlpool in its own room so you can unwind in privacy. Pack light, because you have a full-size washer and dryer recessed and concealed behind curtains in this room. The bathroom at the end of this hall, along with the bedroom and whirlpool room, make this the Master Suite!
You'll discover many little extras throughout the cabin that will make your stay easier, including cleaning supplies and vacuum, grill utensils, iron/ironing board, and even food bowls for any pets traveling with you. Checking up on local events, attractions, and weather, or keeping up with your email is easy with the WiFi high speed internet available throughout the cabin. And don’t forget your swim suits and tennis racquets in the summer, because you are just a 6-minute walk away from the Chalet Village North Owner's Club, which has three pools and tennis courts!

Cabin in the WOooOds
Cabin in the WOooOds
Overall it is a great cabin for the price. Lots of space and rooms for multiple guests and a great view off the porch. Can fit 6 easily. Only cons i can think of are: the temperature in the upstairs and downstairs is very noticeable. The downstairs is kind of cold as the temp sensors upstairs regulate the temperature. The hot tube gets kinda gross after 2-3 days of use, not sure how easy it would be to change the water out or chlorinate it more? The pool table pads are crushed which throws a lot of the bounce shots off. Still playable, but annoying. Probably because some kids sat on the pool table -_- you can tell people party there from the beer cans littered in the woods behind the cabin. Kitchen is tiny and hard to use for cooking with multiple people, but this was just the design of the cabin.

Ski Mountain Vacation
We enjoyed our stay at A Change Of Pace very much. The cabin was clean and well furnished including the kitchen. The cabin was plenty big with 3 bedrooms with queen beds and enough room to set up a baby bed in one of the rooms for our new granddaughter of 11 weeks who was a champ and hiked up to Laurel Falls with us! We will certainly be back.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean, well-equipped, and with a marvelous mountain view. After a short, winding drive down the mountain, it's only a few minutes to downtown Gatlinburg, to Pigeon Forge / Sevierville, and to Great Smoky Mountains National Park via the Gatlinburg bypass.

My family of 6 and I just came back from spending Christmas week at a Change of Pace. The cabin is easily reached by car. They keypad entry is the easiest thing ever and you do not have to worry about misplacing a key. The inside is very roomy. The kitchen had everything needed for us to cook Christmas dinner. We enjoyed breakfast every morning overlooking the mountains. All the stuff came from Food City in Pigeon Forge (about 10 minutes away). The rooms and beds were very comfortable as well. We had a family member in a wheelchair and it was very easy to enter the house and the bedrooms. Like everyone else, we used the pool table :) It was great!!We also took two dogs and they had a great time. The area around the house is not sufficient for a dog walk, but we would take them to Patriot Park in Pigeon Forge and they had a wonderful time running around there. We didn't get great weather either (lots of foggy and rainy days). It snowed the last day we were there and it was a nice sight to see :) Overall, I would definitely go back to this beautiful home!

Our group enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The location was convenient to downtown Gatlinburg and the Smoky National Park. The cabin was clean and comfortable. It was also nice to have a hot tub to relax in after a long day of hiking. I would definitely recommend this cabin to others.

It was a beautiful labor day holiday for our family at "Change of Pace" cabin. Located near the mountaintop with some spectacular views off the rear balconies, a perfect place to watch the sunrise, and see why they call them the "Smokey Mountains". The cabin was clean, well stocked, and provided many amenities we have not gotten at other cabins. We look forward to another stay in the spring.

Cozy country cabin
Cozy country cabin
We had a great time at this cozy cabin. I forwarded pics of cabin to my best friend & oddly enough without knowing before hand my friend's son previously owned this same cabin - how ironic is that! We took the grandchildren to Dixie Stampede & they loved it! I would highly recommend it. Everything is close with a tram at the bottom of the lane to go into town. Cabin was clean & had all the comforts of home. We took our grandchildren & thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We even saw a big bear next to the cabin the night before we left. We hiked, swam, saw the main sights & just relaxed & enjoyed the kids. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

Our party of eight really enjoyed the spacious cabin. We saw a bear from the balcony! Especially enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after playing in the cold creeks. The cabin was centrally located to everything we wanted to do!
