Enjoy "A Change Of Pace" on your next visit to the Smokey Mountains! Entering the cabin from the level 3-car drive, you will be struck by the spacious layout of the living and dining areas with their wood-paneled walls and wood floors. Sink into the leather sofa and chairs and gaze out at the spectacular mountain view through the French doors leading to the upper deck. Grill steaks and burgers on the charcoal grill or just watch the sun rise while sipping an early morning cup of coffee or hot chocolate. In the evening, relax while watching a movie from our DVD library on the 36" TV.

The kitchen with its hand-decorated cabinets is well stocked with 16 place settings, a wide variety of cookware, storage containers, and small appliances, including toaster, can opener, microwave, mixer, blender, Crockpot, and coffee maker. Make yourself right at home with a full size oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher!

Sleep peacefully in the three bedrooms with their high-quality cotton sheets on queen-sized mattresses in rustic log bed frames, or stay up late watching your favorite shows or a movie on cable. Wake up to sunshine streaming through the picture window or patio door walkout in the rear bedrooms facing the mountains.

The two bathrooms with tub and shower are finished in the same wood paneling as out in the family room, which matches beautifully with the luxurious thick sage green bath towels and washcloths.

Down on the lower level you'll find an expansive game room with a full-size pool table, TV and DVD, a library of movies and books, stereo system, and a full size futon with inner-spring mattress. Play one of our board games or your favorite card game on the large round oak game table. There’s plenty of seating for everyone. Or step out to the lower deck and the hot tub where you can relax in complete privacy. It's a covered deck, so don't let the weather stop you!

Down the hall is the whirlpool in its own room so you can unwind in privacy. Pack light, because you have a full-size washer and dryer recessed and concealed behind curtains in this room. The bathroom at the end of this hall, along with the bedroom and whirlpool room, make this the Master Suite!

You'll discover many little extras throughout the cabin that will make your stay easier, including cleaning supplies and vacuum, grill utensils, iron/ironing board, and even food bowls for any pets traveling with you. Checking up on local events, attractions, and weather, or keeping up with your email is easy with the WiFi high speed internet available throughout the cabin. And don’t forget your swim suits and tennis racquets in the summer, because you are just a 5-minute walk away from the Chalet Village North Owner's Club, which has three pools and tennis courts!

  • Our stay was 6/13-6/20. The living/dining area upstairs was very spacious. The game room was big with a nice pool table to be enjoyed. The laundry room was a nice ammenity. The cabin location was terrific, easy access to the trolley which we used alot.The views were so nice from the decks. The pool at the North clubhouse was great too. The cabin was very clean and ready to go when we arrived. We enjoyed our stay.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at A Change of Pace! We've stayed in many different cabins (this was probably our 6th trip to the area) and this one really met our needs so well--the kitchen especially was the best-stocked one we've ever had. The mountains, when viewed from either of the decks out back, were just gorgeous, and we got a kick out of sharing the same view with the fancy-dancy (and ultra-expensive) cabin next door. I also especially liked the security lock, a feature we hadn't had in our other cabins, as it allowed us to check in late in the day without having to swing by a rental place for the keys. Our neighbors from home, who were also visiting at the time we were and stayed in a chalet up the hill, were really envious of the comfy, cabiny feel of ACOP. Plus, the whole rental process was just really smooth and easy. We would definitely recommend your cabin to anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable rental in the Gatlinburg area!

  • Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin with my family. The house was perfect for all eight of us, the kids especially loved the big game room with the pool table. Everything we needed in the kitchen and bathrooms was already there for us, we didn't have to worry about anything. The view from the two decks was breath taking. We really enjoyed our stay.

  • We had a very nice & relaxing family vacation in "A Change of Pace". We would recommend it to anyone it has a breathtaking view from both decks. We had really nice weather and used the trolley at the bottom of the mountain to go into Gatlinburg. We really enjoyed the pool table and the hot tub. We have a family of four and there was plenty of room for everyone. There were a lot of little extras and the kitchen was well stocked. Thanks so much for letting us bring our Dachshunds they loved lying in front of the fireplace.

  • The cabin was simply an awesome experience. The view of the mountains was breathtaking. Important to note is just how well EQUIPPED the cabin was. If you needed something, you could count on it being there for your. We loved being able to cook at the cabin and really feel at home. Extras that we weren't expecting included but were not limited to: Spice rack, dog biscuits and pet bowls, shampoo, more silverware and cookware than we could have ever imagined, and much more. My family found it very easy to immediately fall into a comfortable routine there being so close to great attractions, coming home to the cabin, cooking, relaxing in the outdoor jacuzzi, before spending an enjoying time in the downstairs game room playing pool, and a game of monopoly or Yahtzee, which (the games) were also provided. This cabin was as advertised and then some. Can't wait to come back and we will be back! Thanks again.
