We absolutely loved this home! It was clean and comfortable and cozy. All the comforts of home and more--the view is just awesome--although we thought there was wood for the stove, but we couldn't find any. The bedding and linens smelled clean and fresh. We hope to come back again. Thank you.

Thank you for this wonderful home on the river that we enjoyed so much. The view, hominess and quiet were outstanding. We celebrated our 46th anniversary in a great way here. We appreciated all the reminders of our Lord throughout the house. God bless! Ps. 16:11 P.S. We will be back!

Happy New Year! A most beautiful and pleasant cabin. Beautiful scenery. Just wish the river hadn't of been blown out. Post Script--we've rented cabins in Idaho, Nevada, Whales Head,Calif., Oregon, and Washington, and this was the best so far.

We enjoyed your charming home very much; the view of the meadow with cattle and a herd of elk. Every day we had beautiful sunshine and warm temps. Your home is very well appointed. We had no disappointments. We will definitely be back.

Thank you for sharing your home with it's beautiful views and it's amazing quietness. It is such a treat to not hear cars and to be able to see, touch and swim in this gentle river. We all enjoyed it so much including our dog. Thank you so much for allowing pets! It was also great fun to rent a kayak. Try 'Escape Hatch' at 642 Railroad St. in Brookings (541-469-2914). It's a great way to see the Chetco River and we spent hours using it!

We had a great time! We loved swimming in the river(so clear!) and seeing it from the deck. Also enjoyed going on the Art Walk and dining at the Gallery Grill several times. We enjoyed Brookings. Thank for providing such a charming abode.

What an amazing weekend we had! Picking blackberries, wading in the Chetco River, watching deer pass through, the beautiful early morning sunrise and evening sunsets to say the least. We can't wait to come back and I'm sure we will soon. Thanks for accomodating us all. God bless.

The best vacation rental yet! We loved the river, especially our dog Laurel. The cabin had everything we needed, but still allowed space for us to store our own junk! Excellent reading material. We've made 'forever' family memories here! The week just flew...

What an amazing vacation! Two weeks at the River House were just what we needed to relax (how could you not with such fantastic views) and reconnect with our family. The cottage fit eight of us perfectly. It was great that it was fully loaded so all we had to do was buy food. Where do I start with all the fun we had? Early mornings were spectacular on the enormous deck and it quickly became "tradition" to sit at the patio table with our morning coffee and watch the deer graze in the meadow across the river. And wow, what a river! Absolutely beautiful! The path leading down to the river is lined by blackberry bushes and was completely covered in berries which often made for sweet snacks and very sticky mouths. The small beach at the bottom of the path was perfect for playing around. The river was shallow enough at one end of the beach for our 4 and 5 year olds to freely wade across with no help. And flowed lazily enough to put them in rafts and let them swim with thier floaties without having to be worried about the current. The surrounding land at the cottage was beautifully lush and full of adventure for the kids. Lots of room for running around and playing sports and climbing trees. They even used imaginations that I thought they had long forgotten about. In fact, there wasn't even a mention of video games we refused to bring along. The little town of Brookings is very cute with quaint little restaurants and the beaches were breathtaking. We have definately recommended the River House to our friends and and can't wait to go back. Even our teenager had fun and was the first to ask when we were going back! That in my book means a successful vacation.
