My Kona Getaway at Kahaluu Beach

We are located at 78-6665 Alii Dr. in the Kahaluu Reef building,and part of the Kona Seaspray property, just across and down the street from Kahaluu Beach Park, the best snorkeling and surfing spot on The Big Island. Our condo sleeps 4-6 persons, has a full width lanai with an ocean view, newly
remodeled kitchen and bathrooms with granite counter tops, travertine floors, and custom tile and stone shower and tub enclosures. The condo property has a pool and barbecue area with an unobstructed view of Kahaluu Bay across the street and is a perfect spot to watch the famous Kona sunsets.
Our condo is equipped with A/C,cable TV, CD and DVD players as well as free WIFI access. The kitchen has new electric stove and microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, blender, toaster, coffee grinder and maker, and necessary utensils and cookware. Our own laundry room adjacent to the kitchen, has new washer and dryer and ironing board.
We are about 4 miles down Alii Dr. from Kailua town and about a half mile from the Keauhou Shopping Center where there is a supermarket, some good restaurants, a movie theatre,and a Longs Drugs. In town, we have a brand new Super Target, a Wal-Mart, Safeway, Lowes, a Costco and Home Depot by the airport, and numerous great restaurants including Huggos and Huggos on the Rocks, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Big Island Grille, Outback Steakhouse, Lava Java (great coffee, cinnamon rolls, food and view) and many more.

Aloha! We had a wonderful time in Kona............the condo was very clean and comfortable.......we loved being so close to Kahalu'u Reef........snorkeled every day. The shower was fine.............the courtyard entrance was under going refurbishing? or re-modeling............so was kinda cluttered (dead stove & refrig outside our door) paint cans, tarps, etc The pool area was great, We are already planning our next trip. It was a pleasure dealing with you.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

stayed here for a week with my family (6) it was perfect offered everything we needed. Use of boogie boards chairs and coolers for the beach was super helpful! Kitchen gave us what we needed for each meal. Beds were great as both my husband and I have back issues and debated taking our own pillows. Never had a problem!! Clean pleasant and ideally located, not too close to the business of Kona but close enough to pop over(5 minute drive)awesome sunsets from Kahalu'u beach right across the street. One week is really not enough time! =D would recommendRecommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We hastely planned our vacation to Kona. This condo was perfect. Even though we overloaded it with 6 people, including 2 children, there was plenty of room. It was close to some fabulous snorkeling and magic sands beach. The unit does have a limited selection of snorkeling equipment, towels and beach mats. It's a ground floor unit so in and out was easy. We didn't spend the day in the condo so a view wasn't that important. The pool area has a great view of the beach and ocean if that is what you require. The parking is right outside so unloading and loading the car was a breeze. Property manager was very accomodating. The pool and common area was a plus benefit. I think we grilled most nights and dined outside observing the sunsets. The Costco and Walmart are a fair distance, but the solitude of this condo away from the touristy part of Kona was a bonus. We look forward to our next trip the The Big Island and would definitley consider this condo.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
