Wake up to the beauty and sound of the lake. Lake Thunderbird is the second biggest lake in Cherokee Village and offers fishing as well as skiing and boating. Also enjoy swimming, sunning, and fishing - all from your own private dock. Enjoy the morning sunrises and evening sunsets while relaxing on the upper deck. After relaxing, how about a day of sightseeing and recreation? The area offers 2 championship golf courses, lighted tennis courts, 6 outdoor swimming pools, and a health and fitness center. Or how about a day of antique shopping, hiking, biking, or visit Blanchard Spring Caverns and Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View. We are only 2.5 hours from the airports in Memphis, Little Rock, or Springfield/Branson. Nearby attractions include Mammoth Spring at the mouth of the Spring River, quaint old town shopping in both Mammoth Spring and Hardy. Plenty of antique and collectible stores to choose from. Just one hour to the west is Mountain Home, AR which is surrounded by Lake Norfork and Bullshoals Lake and the Buffalo River. An hour east is Jonesboro with fine dining and shopping malls. One hour to the north will take you to West Plains, MO for an evening at the motor speedway. Then one hour south is the Ozark Folk Center in Mountain View, AR the folk music capital of the world.
