Cowboy Up was exactly as described and pictured. The owner, Eunice was very nice to work with and got back to me on all my questions. The house had everything we need to have a great time. Inlcuding everything to grill and fix full meals. We had two families with kids ages 6, 6, 10, 12 and 12 and they all had a great time. As they would say the vacation was "Epic". I'm not sure if they had more fun in the hot tub or at the camp fire. We found a lot of fun things to do- must see Cumberland Falls, also the Cumberland Arch. In addition we rented a pontoon at Burnside Marina which the kids really enjoyed. I would highly recommend this vacation rental to others.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

From the moment you walk into this cabin, time ceases to matter. You can truly forget your worries and just enjoy the beauty of God's creation. We have been more than once and every time I find a new way to relax. The view from the back deck is so gorgeous, I recomend getting up early and enjoying your coffee out there overlooking the lake. There is always an abundance of wildlife to watch from the front deck as well and the fire pit is great for gathering around and roasting marshmallows with the kids...if you can get them out of the hot tub or away from the pool table! I recommend this cabin to everyone, no matter what type of group you have...Girls Weekend,Guys weekend,Couples,or the entire family. There is truly something there for people of all ages...Cowboy Up! ;-)Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This is our second year spending New Years in the house with entire family ranging from Great-grandma to small grandchildren. The house is large enough to have alone time if needed, never feeling cramped. Dining room table is large enough for the whole family which is nice because this is really the only time we can all get together during the year..and having meals together is wonderful. The "cabin" is very tastefully decorated and we felt immed. at home. The Christmas decorations and beautiful tree just added that extra touch to make it feel so homey. The owners were very helpful when scheduling our time, and answering any questions while we were there. I would highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

We took our extended family for a long weekend and absolutely loved the house. My daughter loved watching the deer that come close EVERY night. Lots of sleeping room, hot tub was great. Thanks for all the extras like bean bag game, bbq, etc. Wonderful vacation. We will be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/6

What a wonderful vacation home! To call it a "cabin" doesn't really do your property justice. When we arrived and walked into the great room, we were overwhelmed! How warm and inviting! The view was stunning, the woodwork was immaculate, and no detail was overlooked. By any standard, this home is pure excellence in every way! We will be back next year!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/4

This is the most fantastic, welcoming vacation home I have ever stayed at. I, along with many women, stayed here on a "girls" trip. We were all amazed at the absolutely gorgeous home that awaited us. There was a welcome gift basket full of many wonderful items, food, coffe, drinks to name a few. In the bathrooms were travel items for whoever may have forgotten something. One of the girls forgot her toothbrush but not to worry, there was one there! Not only is this house fabulous, it was very clean. We all had a wonderful time and have never felt so welcome to a rental place. We certainly hope to return to this place many times in the future. Sincerely, SueDid you find this review helpful? Wow. To write up all the superb qualities of this cabin would take a long time and would fill up all the space on this page. When I reviewed the pictures and the description for this cabin, I didn't really think that the cabin could be as nice as it sounded. Not only did Cowboy Up live up to my expectations, it totally blew them out of the water! This is one of the most beautiful, most accomodating, most comfortable cabins I have ever stayed in. I hosted a weekend with 12 people at the cabin, and even if it had rained all weekend, nobody could have been bored. There is enough to keep 12 people busy inside, and the proximity to Burnside Marina made the cabin a perfect place to stay before and after taking a boat out onto the lake. And 12 people fit fine. Nobody was cramped. And nobody ever got bored. The beds are so soft, the kitchen is so welcoming, and the deck has such a beautiful view. Over our weekend we saw Wild Turkeys and deer and on one hike around the area we found a small turtle. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Thank you so much. The owners also had a gift basket waiting for me with delicious snacks and drinks waiting for us when we arrived. When we walked in music was playing and the TVs were turned on, and the cabin was spotless. I couldn't have asked for a more inviting place to end a 3 hour drive.Did you find this review helpful? We SOOO enjoyed our stay at your place! It was beautiful - perfect for us! I think we happened upon the last weekend of "Summer" weather at the lake, AND were lucky to enjoy quite a bit of Fall color as well! Of course all this made the view from the living room, porches and decks of Cowboy Up ideal. My sister-in-law and I joked about how often we wished for something - then found it - at Cowboy Up. Our first "they've thought of everything" came with the pizza cutter…then, I bet we said it 40 more times before we left. You guys truly did think of everything! Your cleaning folks do a great job. Had I not perused the guest book, I would have thought we were the first occupants! I could gush for too long, but I have to mention that everybody commented on how comfortable the beds are. You know a bed is comfortable when you overhear teenagers talking about it - and they were in the bunks and twins! And, Eunice, that beautiful welcome basket was an unexpected treat! It sits on the hearth in our family room as a reminder of our wonderful time at Cowboy Up. I can't thank you enough for sharing your terrific place with us. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and family. Thanks again! The FuquasDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/4
