down the coastline in search of adventure. Lol Ka'Naab #8 is a large two bedroom, two bathroom oceanfront condo in Akumal's Half Moon Bay. The large master bedroom has a queen sized bed and has ocean views.
The second bedroom comfortably sleeps two with 2 twins that can be converted into a king. Both bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom. The Condo has a wireless internet, TV, DVD and CD/MP3 player. The unit is air conditioned and has purified tap water as well as bottled drinking water. On the palm-lined beach located in front of Lol Ka'Naab, you'll find a beautiful beachside swimming pool, lounge chairs, and covered palapas to provide shade. These amenities are provided for the exclusive use of Lol Ka'Naab.

We have been to the area several times and snorkeled at Half Moon Bay on a couple of occassions. So, we decided to stay there, this time with our two daughters (17,20). We usually look for functional, but economical and #8 fir the bill. It was very resonably priced, and modestedly furnished. Downsides were trouble with the satellite on the lower channels, and amount of hot water for showers. Nevertheless, the condo is strategically located in the center of the bay with beuatiful 3rd floor views, a small pool, and small sandy area with palapas to lay out. Although it was unusally windy, you can always grab a snorkel and head out to the calmest area of the bay to see coral, fish, even lobster, crab, squid, .... and turtles. Excursions 1. Aktun Chen - do the whole thing - cave tour, zipline, and cenote snorkeling. A bit pricy but well worth it. 2. Kal-ku lagoon - - easiest snorkeling ever, but stick to the left and go back to the south end. Lots of rock formations to swim through and fish to see. 3. Tulum ruins - worth it, but crowded. Get there early and go straight to the main entrance. Then, hire a guide who can get you in without waiting in line. Food We go to the big supermart in Tulum for supplies, so we can serveral meals for oureselves. My family of 5 just spent the week in Akumal at this wonderful condo on half moon bay. We couldn't have had a better time. I spent one morning jogging on the beach looking at all the properties lining the beach, and there was not one other that I would've rather stayed at! our condo was clean and beautiful. the kids had their own bathroom, and my husband and I had our own. The maids did all of our dishes everyday and cleaned up after all of our sand and grime from the days on the warm sunny beach. The pool was perfect for the kids, not too deep and not too big. I could relax in my lounge chair in the sand and still watch them in the pool. We hope to come back next year. The beach out front was great for walking and snorkeling and close proximity to both the lagoon and to the main akumal beach. we loved it!Recommended for: Families with young children.

We spent 10 days here over Christmas 2009 with 14 people renting the three ground floor condos. These condos were amazing. Just a short walk down the beach from an awesome open air bar on the beach and SCUBA diving. Management was wonderful, as was maid service and amenities. Short walk to town with lots of shopping and dining options.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.
